Door Request Switch
ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
•Thissystemallowsyoutolockand
unlockthedoors,andevenstartthe
enginewithouttakingthekeyout.
While Carrying the Advanced Key…
• Unlock the driver’s doorbypushing
thedriver’sdoorrequestswitchonce.
•
Unlock all doorsbypushingthe
driver’sdoorrequestswitchtwice
ORbypushingthepassenger’sdoor
request switch or lif tgate request
switchonce.
• Lock or unlock the liftgate by
pushing thelif tgate request switchonce.
•
Lock all doorsbypushingthedriver’s
door, passenger door, or lif tgate request
switches once.
• Open the front windows and
moon roof bypushingtheunlock
buttonontheadvancedkeyless
entrytransmitterandthenpushing
againandholding;releasetostop.
• Close front windows and moon roof
by pushing and holding the driver’s door
requestswitch;releasetostop.

Panic Alarm
KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM
Thissystemremotelylocksandunlocksthedoorsandtheliftgate,andopens
thepowerwindowsandmoonroof.
Release Button
• Pushtoextendkey.
•Push&foldtoretractkey.
Lock
• Push once to lock all
doorsandliftgate.
• Push twice (within five
seconds)forhornsound
verification that all doors
arelocked.
Unlock
• Pushoncetounlock
driver’s doors.
• Push twice (within three
seconds) to unlock all
doorsandliftgate.
• Pushtwiceandholdtoopen
frontwindowsandmoonroof.
Panic Alarm
• Push for one second or
moretoactivatealarm.
• Push Lock, Unlock,
or Panic Alarm to
turnalarmoff.

While Carrying the Advanced Key…
• Start the enginebypushingthestartknobinandturningit(likea
normalkey)whiledepressingthebrakepedal.
•
Shut the engine OFF byturning the star t knob to the ACC position
andthenpushinginandturningtotheLockposition.
•TheKEY indicatorlightwillshowgreenwhentheadvancedkeyis
detected.IftheKEY indicatorlightflashesgreen,theadvancedkey
transmitterbatterypowerislow.
•
Iftheadvancedkeycannotbeusedduetoamalfunctionordead
advancedkeybattery,usetheauxiliarykeytolock /unlockthedoors
andtostarttheengine.
With the Auxiliary Key…
Lock
Unlock
1 Tostartengine,removethe
Star t knob cover by pushing
bothreleasebuttonsand
pullingthecoveroff.
2 Push the key release to
removetheauxiliarykey.
3 Inser t the auxiliar y key into
the key cylinder and turn
ittostarttheengine.

Inadditiontotheauto-dimmingmirror’sfrontlightsensor,thereisalsoa
rearlightsensor(notshown).Donotplaceorhanganyobjectsoverthefrontorrear
mirrorlightsensors,otherwise,theauto-dimmingmirrorwillnotoperateproperly.
