High/Low Beam SwitchPush the multifunction lever toward the instru-
ment panel to switch the headlights to high
beam. Pulling the multifunction back toward the
steering wheel will turn the low beams back on,
or shut the high beams off.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND
WASHERS
The windshield wiper/washer control lever is
located on the left side of the steering column.
The front wipers are operated by rotating a
switch, located on the end of the lever. For
information on the rear wiper/washer, refer to
“Rear Window Features” in “Understanding the
Features of Your Vehicle”.
Windshield Wiper OperationRotate the end of the lever to one of the first four
detent positions for intermittent settings, the
fifth detent for low wiper operation and the sixth
detent for high wiper operation.CAUTION!
Always remove any buildup of snow that
prevents the windshield wiper blades from
returning to the “park” position. If the wind-
shield wiper switch is turned off, and the
blades cannot return to the “park” position,
damage to the wiper motor may occur.

FUSES
Totally Integrated Power Module
The totally integrated power module (TIPM) is
located in the engine compartment. This center
contains cartridge fuses and mini fuses. A
description of each fuse and component may
be stamped on the inside cover, otherwise the
cavity number of each fuse is stamped on the
inside cover that corresponds to the following
chart.

•
When installing the totally integrated power
module cover, it is important to ensure the
cover is properly positioned and fully
latched. Failure to do so may allow water to
get into the totally integrated power module
and possibly result in a electrical system
failure.
• When replacing a blown fuse, it is important
to use only a fuse having the correct am-
perage rating. The use of a fuse with a
rating other than indicated may result in a
dangerous electrical system overload. If a
properly rated fuse continues to blow, it
indicates a problem in the circuit that must
be corrected.
VEHICLE STORAGEIf you are leaving your vehicle dormant for more
than 21 days you may want to take steps to
protect your battery. You may:
• Remove fuse #27 in the Totally Integrated
Power Module (TIPM) labeled Ignition-Off
Draw (IOD#1).
