● dial66437 INFINITI Voice Recognition allows hands-free
operation of the Phone, Navigation, Information
and Audio systems in one of two modes, Stan-
dard Mode or Alternate Command Mode.
In Standard Mode, commands that are available
are always shown on the display and an-
nounced by the system. You can complete your
desired operation by simply following the
prompts given by the system. (See “INFINITI
VOICE RECOGNITION STANDARD MODE” later in
this section for details.)
For advanced operation, you can use the Alter-
nate Command Mode. (See “INFINITI VOICE REC-
OGNITION ALTERNATE COMMAND MODE” later
in this section for details.) When this mode is
active, an expanded list of commands can be
spoken after pushing the TALK
switch,
and the voice command menu prompts are
turned off. Review the expanded command list,
which is available when this mode is active.
Note that in this mode the recognition success
rate may be affected as the number of available
commands and the ways of speaking each
command are increased.
To switch one mode to another, see each mode
description later in this section.
To improve the recognition success rate when
Alternate Command Mode is active, try using
the Speaker Adaptation Function available in
INFINITI VOICE RECOGNITION SYSTEM
(models with navigation system)

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
The system should respond correctly to all voice commands without difficulty. If problems are encountered, follow the solutions given in this guide for
the appropriate error.
Where the solutions are listed by number, try each solution in turn, starting with number one, until the problem is resolved.
Symptom/error messageSolution
Displays “COMMAND NOT RECOGNIZED” or the
system fails to interpret the command correctly. 1. Ensure that the command format is valid, see “Command List” earlier in this section.
2. Speak clearly without pausing between words and at a level appropriate to the ambient noise level.
3. Ensure that the ambient noise level is not excessive, for example, windows open or defrost on.
NOTE:
If it is too noisy to use the phone, it is likely that voice commands will not be recognized.
4. If optional words of the command have been omitted, then the command should be tried with these
in place.
The system consistently selects the wrong voic-
etag in the phonebook. 1. Ensure that the voicetag requested matches what was originally stored. (See “BLUETOOTH
HANDS-
FREE PHONE SYSTEM (models with navigation system)” earlier in this section; page 4-104.)
2. Replace one of the voicetags being confused with a different voicetag.

The engine cooling system is filled at the factory
with a high-quality, year-round, anti-freeze
coolant solution. The antifreeze solution con-
tains rust and corrosion inhibitors, therefore
additional cooling system additives are not
necessary.
WARNING
●Never remove the radiator cap and engine
coolant reservoir cap when the engine is hot.
Wait until the engine and radiator cool down.
Serious burns could be caused by high pres-
sure fluid escaping from the radiator or cool-
ant reservoir. See precautions in “IF YOUR
VEHICLE OVERHEATS” in the “6. In case of
emergency” section of this manual.
● The radiator is equipped with a pressure
type radiator cap. To prevent engine dam-
age, use only a genuine NISSAN radiator cap.
CAUTION
When adding or replacing coolant, be sure to
use only a Genuine NISSAN Long Life
Antifreeze/Coolant (blue) or equivalent with
the proper mixture ratio shown in the following
chart. The life expectancy of the factory-fill
coolant is 105,000 miles (168,000 km) or 7
years. Mixing any other type of coolant or the
use of non-distilled water will reduce the life
expectancy of the factory-fill coolant. Refer to
the Infiniti Service and Maintenance Guide for
more details. The use of other types of coolant
solutions may damage the engine cooling
system.

CHECKING ENGINE COOLANT LEVEL
Check the coolant level in the reservoir when the
engine is cold. If the coolant level is below MIN
2, open the reservoir tank cap and add coolant
up to the MAX
1level. If the reservoir tank is
empty, check the coolant level in the radiator
when the engine is cold. If there is insufficient
coolant in the radiator, fill the radiator with
coolant up to the filler opening and also add it
to the reservoir tank up to the MAX level
1.
Tighten the cap securely after adding engine
coolant.
This vehicle contains Genuine NISSAN Long Life
Antifreeze/Coolant (blue). The life expectancy of
the factory-fill coolant is 105,000 miles
