Hold down MENU ESC:
- to quit the set up menu if you are in the main
menu;
- to quit the main menu if you are in another point of
the menu (e.g. at submenu option setting level, at
submenu level or at main menu option setting level);
- to save only the settings already stored (and
confirmed by pressing the MENU ESC button).
The setup menu page is timed. Only the changes
already stored by pressing the MENU ESC button are
saved when you come out of the menu.
On the standard screen, briefly press MENU ESC to
start browsing.
Press
orto browse within the menu.
NoteOnly the short menu may be accessed for
reasons of safety while the vehicle is moving ("Speed
Beep" setting). Stop the vehicle to access the full
menu.Adjusting the vehicle interior lighting
This function is available with the dipped beam
headlights on to adjust brightness of the instrument
panel, buttons and radio display.
To adjust the light intensity, proceed as follows:
❒press the MENU ESC button briefly to make the
display flash the previously set level;
❒press button
andto set the required
brightness level;
❒press the MENU ESC button briefly to return to
the menu screen or give the button a long press
to return to the standard screen without storing.
Speed limit (Speed Beep)
This function is used to set the vehicle speed limit
(km/h or mph). When this limit is exceeded the
driver is immediately alerted (see “Warning lights
and messages” section).
To set the desired speed limit, proceed as follows:
- briefly press the MENU ESC button: the display will
show the words (Speed Beep);
- press
orto select speed limit activation
(On) or deactivation (Off );
- if the function is on, press
orto select the
required speed limit and then press MENU ESC to
confirm;

EXTERIOR LIGHTS
The left stalk fig. 37includes the exterior light
controls.
The exterior lights can only be switched on when
the ignition key is in MAR.
The instrument panel and the various controls on
the dashboard will be lit up when the exterior lights
are switched on.
LIGHTS OFF

FLASHING THE HEADLIGHTS
Pull the stalk towards the steering wheel (1st
unstable position) regardless of the position of the
control.
The instrument panel warning light
will come on.
DIRECTION INDICATORS
Move the stalk to position fig. 38 (unstable):
❒up (position 1): to activate the right direction
indicator;
❒down (position 2): to activate the left direction
indicator.
Warning light
orwill blink on the instrument
panel.
Direction indicators switch off automatically when
the vehicle is back in a straight line.If you want the indicator to flash briefly to show that
you are about to change lane, move the stalk up or
down without it clicking into position. When
released, the stalk will return to its default position.
Lane change function
If you wish to signal a lane change, put the left stalk
in the temporary position for less than half a second.
The direction indicator on the selected side will
flash three times and then switch off automatically.

HEADLIGHTS
LIGHT BEAM DIRECTION
The correct direction of the headlights is essential
for the comfort and safety of the driver and other
road users. To ensure the best visibility when
travelling with the headlights on, the headlight
alignment must be correct. Contact a Fiat Dealership
to have the direction checked and, if necessary,
adjusted.
HEADLIGHT ALIGNMENT CORRECTOR
This device works with the ignition key in the MAR
position and the dipped headlights on.
The vehicle tilts backwards when it is laden, raising
the beam.
The beams must therefore be aimed again in this
case.

Adjusting headlight alignment

The instrument panel display shows the position in
relation to the adjustment set.
Position 0 - one or two people in the front seats.
Position1-fivepeople.
Position2-fivepeople + load in the boot.
Position 3 - driver + maximum permitted load
stowed in the boot.
IMPORTANT Check the alignment of the light beams
each time the weight of the load transported
changes.

checked and, if necessary, adjusted.ADJUSTING THE HEADLIGHTS WHEN
ABROAD
The dipped headlights are adjusted to work in the
country where the vehicle was originally purchased.
When in countries where you drive on the other
side of the road, you need to alter the beam
direction by affixing a specially designed self-adhesive
film in order not to dazzle the vehicles travelling in
the opposite direction. Such film is provided by
Lineaccessori Fiat and is available at Fiat Dealerships.

SAVING FUEL
Here are some useful tips to save fuel and minimise
harmful emissions of CO2 and other pollutants
(nitric oxides, unburnt hydrocarbons, fine dusts etc.).
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
General conditions which influence fuel consumption
are shown below.
Vehicle maintenance
Have checks and adjustments carried out in
accordance with the “Scheduled Servicing Plan”.
Ty r e s
Check the tyre pressure at least once every four
weeks: if the pressure is too low, consumption levels
increase as resistance to rolling is higher.
Unnecessary loads
Do not travel with an overloaded boot. The weight
of the vehicle (especially when driving in town)
and its trim greatly affect fuel consumption
and stability.
Roof rack/ski rack
Remove the roof rack or the ski rack from the roof
after use. These accessories reduce the aerodynamic
coefficient of the vehicle and have a negative effect
on fuel consumption. It is better to use a trailer
to transport particularly bulky objects.Electric devices
Use electrical devices only for the amount of time
needed. The heated rear window, auxiliary
headlights, windscreen wipers and fan heater use up
a considerable amount of current, causing increased
fuel consumption (up to +25% in the urban cycle).
Climate control system
The air conditioner leads to higher fuel consumption
(on average up to +20%). If the temperature outside
is not too extreme, try and use the air vents.
Spoilers
The use of non-certified spoilers may adversely affect
aerodynamics and fuel consumption.
DRIVING STYLE
The main driving styles affecting fuel consumption
are shown below.
Starting
Do not warm up the engine at low or high revs when
the vehicle is stationary; this causes the engine to
warm up more slowly, thereby increasing fuel
consumption and emissions. It is advisable to set off
immediately and slowly, avoiding high revs: this allows
the engine to warm up more quickly.
