The system is reactivated automatically at every new star t using the key.
Reactivation
This system requires a battery with a special specification and technology (reference numbers available from CITROËN dealers). Fitting a battery not listed by CITROËN introduces the risk of malfunction of the system. In the event of a malfunction with the system, the "ECO OFF" switch warning lamp flashes, then comes on continuously. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer. In the event of a fault in STOP mode, the vehicle may stall. It is then necessary to switch off the ignition and star t the engine again using the key.
Operating fault Maintenance
Before working under the bonnet, deactivate the Stop & Star t system to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of START mode.
The Stop & Star t system makes use of advanced technology. Specialist knowledge is needed for any work on the system, which can only be assured
by CITROËN dealers.
Press the "ECO OFF" switch again. The system is active again; this is confirmed
by the switch warning lamp going off, accompanied by a message on the screen.

Load reduction mode System which manages the use of cer tain functions according to the level of charge remaining in the battery. When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily deactivates cer tain functions, such as the air conditioning,
the heated rear screen... The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as conditions permit.
Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running. Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals first.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition before disconnecting the battery. Close the windows and the doors before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition and wait 1 minute before star ting to permit initialisation of the electronic systems. However, if minor problems persist following this operation, contact a CITROËN dealer. Referring to the corresponding section,
you should yourself reinitialise: - the remote control key, - the GPS satellite navigation system.
