Digital air conditioning
The air conditioning operates when the engine is r unning, as well as in STOP mode with Stop & Start.
Automatic operation
1. Automatic "comfort" programme
Press the "AUTO" button. The "AUTO" symbol is displayed. We recommend that you use this mode. It provides optimised automatic control of all of the following functions: passenger compar tment temperature, air flow, air distribution and air intake, in accordance with the comfor t value that you have chosen. This system is designed to operate effectively in all seasons, with the windows closed.
For your comfor t, when the engine is switched off, the settings are retained until the engine is switched on again. To prevent too great a distribution of cold air when the engine is cold, the air flow will only reach its optimum level gradually.
2. Temperature adjustment
The value indicated on the display corresponds to a level of comfor t and not to a temperature in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
On entering the vehicle, if the interior is very cold or hot, there is no need to change the value displayed in order to reach the required level of comfor t. The system corrects the temperature difference automatically and as quickly as possible.
Press the " " and " " buttons to change this value. A setting around the value 21 enables optimum comfor t to be obtained. However, depending on your requirements, a setting between 18 and 24 is usual.
3 . A u t o m a t i c " v i s i b i l i t y " programme
The automatic comfor t programme may not be sufficient for rapid demisting or defrosting of the windscreen and side windows (humidity, several passengers, ice, etc.). In this case, select the automatic visibility programme. The button 3 indicator lamp comes on. The system automatically controls the air conditioning and the flow of air and provides optimum air distribution to the windscreen and side windows. It deactivates air recirculation 5 .
To exit this programme, press button 3 again or "AUTO" , the indicator lamp on the button goes off and "AUTO" is displayed.
With Stop & Star t, when demisting has been activated, the STOP mode is not available.

6. Air distribution adjustment
Pressing this button several times in succession enables the air flow to be directed in turn towards:
- the windscreen and the side windows (demisting or defrosting), - the windscreen, side windows and air vents, - the windscreen, the side windows, the air vents and the footwells, - the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells, - the footwells, - the air vents and the footwells, - the air vents.
Avoid driving for long periods with the air conditioning switched off (risk of misting and reduction of the air quality in the cabin).
Press the "full fan" button to increase the air flow.
7 . A i r fl o w a d j u s t m e n t
The air flow symbol, the fan, fills progressively according to the value requested.
Press the "empty fan" button to decrease the air flow.
S w i t c h i n g t h e s y s t e m o f f
Press the air flow "empty fan"button 7 until the fan symbol disappears.
This action switches off all of the functions of the air conditioning system. Thermal comfor t is no longer controlled. A slight flow of air resulting from the movement of the vehicle, remains perceptible however. Pressing the air flow "full fan" button 7 or on "AUTO" reactivates the system with the values set before it was switched off.

Rear screen demist - defrost
The control button is located on the heating or air conditioning system control panel.
S w i t c h i n g o n
The rear screen demisting/defrosting can only operate when the engine is running. Press this button to demist /defrost the rear screen and (depending on version) the door mirrors. The indicator lamp associated with the button comes on.
S w i t c h i n g o f f
The demisting/defrosting switches off automatically to prevent an excessive consumption of current. It is possible to stop the demisting/defrosting operation before it is switched off automatically by pressing the button again. The indicator lamp associated with the button switches off. Switch off the demisting/defrosting of the rear screen and door mirrors as soon as appropriate as lower current consumption results in reduced fuel consumption.
If the engine is switched off before the demisting/defrosting is switched off automatically, demisting/defrosting will resume next time the engine is switched on.

Front seats
Seat consisting of a seat cushion, a seat back and a head restraint which can all be adjusted to adapt your position for ease of driving and comfor t.
Manual adjustments

Raise the control and slide the seat for wards or backwards.

Pull the control upwards to raise or push
it downwards to lower, as many times as necessary, to obtain the position required.
Seat back angle adjustment
Push the control rear wards.

Pull the control upwards to fold the seat back and move the seat for ward. When put back in place, the seat returns to its initial position.
No person or object should prevent the seat slide from returning to its initial position; the return to this position is necessary for longitudinal locking. Check that the seat belt has reeled in correctly so as to not impede access to the rear seats for passengers.
G r a b h a n d l e
This easy to use handle, located at the top of the side trim: - provides a means of suppor t for the outer rear passengers when moving, - provides a hand hold to ease access to the rear seats, - facilitates exit from the rear seats.

Rear seats
Move the corresponding front seat for ward if necessary. Check that the seat belt is positioned correctly on the side of the seat back.
Place the head restraints in the low position.
F o l d i n g t h e b a c k r e s t
Pull control 1 for wards to release the seat back 2 . Fold the seat back 2 on to the cushion.
When repositioning the rear seat backrest: Straighten the seat back 2 and secure it.
Check that the red indicator, located next to the control 1 , is no longer visible.
R e p o s i t i o n i n g t h e s e a t b a c k r e s t
When repositioning the seat backrest, take care not to trap the seat belts.

These have one position for use (up) and a stowed position (down). They can also be removed. To remove a head restraint: release the backrest using control 1 , tilt the backrest 2 slightly for wards,
pull the head restraint upwards to the stop, then, press the lug A .

Never drive with the head restraints removed; they must be in place and correctly adjusted.
Steering wheel adjustment
