Opening The Bonnet
OPENING THE BONNET
Bonnet strut
Secure the strut in its location,
i d e n t i fi e d b y a s t i c k e r o n t h e l e f t - h a n d
panel side of the vehicle, to hold the
bonnet open.
Before closing the bonnet, put the strut
b a c k i n i t s c l i p w i t h o u t u s i n g e x c e s s i v e
force.
On the outside
Raise the bonnet slightly by reaching
i n a fl a t h a n d , p a l m d o w n , t o m a k e
access to the lever easier.
With this hand, push the lever to the
left. Raise the bonnet.
On the inside
Pull the lever under the fascia panel
t o w a r d s y o u . T h e b o n n e t i s u n l o c k e d .
To close
Lower the bonnet and release it at the
e n d o f i t s t r a v e l . C h e c k t h a t t h e b o n n e t
i s l o c k e d .
Avoid manoeuvring the bonnet in
strong winds.
