GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
Although one of CITROËN's main
criteria when designing your vehicle,
the safety of your children also
depends on you.
For maximum safety, please follow
t h e s e p r e c a u t i o n s :
- all children under the age of 12 or l e s s t h a n o n e m e t r e fi f t y t a l l m u s t
travel in approved child seats suited
t o t h e i r w e i g h t , o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h
a seat belt or ISOFIX mountings.
- statistically, the safest seats in your vehicle for the transportation of
children are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
and in the rear,
- the passenger must not travel with a child on his lap. CHILD SEAT IN THE FRONT
"Rearwards-facing"
Recommended on the rear seats up to
the age of 2.
When a "rearwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat, it
is essential that the passenger airbag
is disarmed. Otherwise, the child would
risk being seriously injured or killed if
t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
"Forwards-facing"
Recommended on the rear seats over
the age of 2.
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat,
leave the passenger airbag armed.
The rules for transporting children

"ISOFIX" MOUNTINGS
Your vehicle has been approved in
accordance with the new ISOFIX
regulation.
The mountings comprise three rings for
e a c h s e a t : - two front rings
A and B , located
between the vehicle seat back and
cushion, - a rear ring
C , located on the back
of the vehicle's seat back, for
securing the upper strap referred to
as the TOP TETHER.
This ISOFIX mounting system
guarantees you fast, reliable and safe
fi t t i n g o f t h e c h i l d s e a t i n y o u r v e h i c l e
on the side seats.
T h e I S O F I X c h i l d s e a t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h
two locks which are secured easily on
the two front rings.
Some also have an upper strap which
is attached to the rear ring C .
To attach this strap, raise the
vehicle seat's head restraint then
pass the hook between its rods.
T h e n fi x t h e h o o k o n t h e r e a r r i n g a n d
tighten the upper strap.

This child seat can also be used on

In this case, it must be attached to the
vehicle seat using the three point seat
belt.
