This operation must be carried out

Insert the key then turn it to the
left.
Remove the cap.
A label indicates which type of fuel to
use.
W h e n y o u fi l l y o u r t a n k , d o n o t c o n -
tinue after the third cut-off of the
pump. This could cause engine mal-
functions.
The capacity of the tank is approx-
imately 55 litres for petrol engines
and 60 litres for Diesel engines. From the time this light comes on,
you have enough fuel left to cover
approximately 30 miles (50 km) .
Note: the right-hand sliding side door
cannot be opened while the fuel tank
cap is removed.
Outside the vehicle: Lift the control,
raise the bonnet and secure the strut
to keep the bonnet open.

Inside the vehicle: Pull the control
on the left-hand side, under the fas-
cia panel.

THE ALARM SYSTEM *
The alarm offers two types of protection:
- exterior protection: the alarm
sounds if a door, the boot or the
bonnet is opened ;
- interior protection: the alarm
sounds if there is a variation in
the volume inside the vehicle
(breaking of a window or move-
ment inside the vehicle) .
Setting the alarm
Switch the ignition off and get out of
t h e v e h i c l e .
A c t i v a t e t h e a l a r m w i t h i n fi v e m i n u t e s
f o l l o w i n g y o u r e x i t f r o m t h e v e h i c l e ,
by locking using the remote control
key (the red indicator light on the
switch 1 , which can be seen from the
o u t s i d e , fl a s h e s o n c e a s e c o n d ) . Warning
If, on setting the alarm, a door, the
boot or the bonnet are not closed
correctly, the siren sounds for a mo-
m e n t .
Close the vehicle correctly to set the
a l a r m .
If the interior protection alarm is trig-
gered ten times in succession, it is
d i s a r m e d a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I t m u s t b e
set again in order for it to operate
c o r r e c t l y .
W h e n t h e a l a r m i s t r i g g e r e d , t h e s i r e n
sounds and the direction indicators
fl a s h f o r t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After it has been triggered, the alarm
b e c o m e s o p e r a t i o n a l a g a i n .
Note: if you wish to lock your vehicle
without setting the alarm, lock it using
t h e k e y i n t h e d o o r l o c k .
Disarming the alarm
Unlock the vehicle using the remote
control key (the red indicator light on
the switch 1 g o e s o u t ) .
Note: i f t h e w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s , i t i s
a sign that the alarm has been trig-
g e r e d i n y o u r a b s e n c e .

Note: when the alarm is set, but the
remote control no longer works:
unlock the doors using the key
and open the door; the alarm is
triggered;
switch the ignition on within
ten seconds; the alarm is dis-
a r m e d .
To set the alarm with exterior
protection only
If, while you are away from the vehicle,
you wish to leave a window partially
open or a pet inside the vehicle, you

Inside the vehicle: pull the handle on

Outside the vehicle: lift the catch
a n d r a i s e t h e b o n n e t .
BONNET STRUT
Secure the strut to hold the bonnet
o p e n .
Before closing the bonnet, replace
t h e s t r u t i n i t s h o u s i n g .
FILLING WITH FUEL
W h e n t h e m i n i m u m
fuel level in the tank is
reached, this warning
l i g h t c o m e s o n . W h e n t h e c a p i s r e m o v e d ,
the right-hand sliding side
d o o r c a n n o t b e o p e n e d .
The key cannot be removed
from the lock until the cap
has been replaced on the
f u e l t a n k .

(50 km).
The engine must be switched off
w h e n fi l l i n g w i t h f u e l .
I n s e r t t h e k e y t h e n t u r n i t t o t h e l e f t .

FUEL SUPPLY CUT-OFF (PETROL)

gine.

the switch on the corner of the front

the bonnet.

Brake pads
Brake pad wear depends on the style
o f d r i v i n g , i n p a r t i c u l a r f o r v e h i c l e s

distances.
It may be necessary to check the
t h i c k n e s s o f t h e p a d s , e v e n b e t w e e n
services.
