Mirror Adjustment
Exterior Mirrors
Vehicles with outsidepower mirrors andfoldaway mirrors havecontrols located on thedriver door.
1. Press (A) or (B) to select the driver or passengerside mirror.
2. Press one of the four arrows located on the controlpad to adjust the mirror.
3. Press either (A) or (B) again to deselect the mirror.
Power Foldaway Mirrors
To fold the mirrors:
1. Press (C) to fold the mirrors out to thedriving position.
2. Press (D) to fold the mirrors in to thefolded position.
The dimming feature automatically adjusts the driveroutside mirror for the glare of the headlamps behindyour vehicle. SeeAutomatic Dimming Rearview Mirroron page 3!43for more information.
Manual Foldaway Mirrors
Manually fold the mirrors inward to prevent damagewhen going through an automatic car wash. To fold,push the mirror toward the vehicle. Push the mirroroutward, to return to its original position.
Interior Mirror
Vehicles with a manual rearview mirror can beadjusted to see clearly behind the vehicle. Hold themirror in the center to move it up or down and side toside. To reduce headlamp glare during nighttime use,move the lever at the bottom of the mirror to the right.Move it to the left for daytime use.

Steering Wheel Adjustment
The power tilt wheel control is located on the left side ofthe steering column.
Push the control up or down to tilt the steering wheel upor down.

Interior Lighting
Dome Lamps
The dome lamps come on when any door is opened.They turn off after all the doors are closed.
The dome lamps can also be turned on by turningthe instrument panel brightness knob, located on theinstrument panel to the left of the steering column,clockwise to the farthest position. In this position, thedome lamps remain on whether a door is openedor closed.
k:The dome lamp override button is locatednext to the exterior lamps control.
Press the button in and the dome lamps remain offwhen a door is opened. Press the button again toreturn it to the extended position so that the domelamps come on when a door is opened.
Reading Lamps
For vehicles with reading lamps in the overheadconsole, press the button located next to the lamp toturn it on or off.
The vehicle may also have reading lamps in otherlocations. The lamps cannot be adjusted.

Manual Rearview Mirror
Hold the inside rearview mirror in the center to move itfor a clearer view behind your vehicle. Adjust the mirrorto avoid glare from the headlamps behind you. Push thetab forward for daytime use and pull it for nighttime use.
Automatic Dimming Rearview Mirror
This vehicle may have an automatic dimming insiderearview mirror with OnStar®. It may also haveIntellibeam®. For more information on Intellibeam™, see“Intellibeam™Intelligent High!Beam Headlamp ControlSystem”underExterior Lampson page 4!11. For moreinformation on OnStar®, see the OnStar®owner's guide.
Automatic Dimming Mirror Operation
Automatic dimming reduces the glare of lights frombehind the vehicle. The dimming feature comes onand the indicator light illuminates each time thevehicle is started.
O(On/Off):Press to turn the dimming feature on or off.
Cleaning the Mirror
Do not spray glass cleaner directly on the mirror. Use asoft towel dampened with water.
Outside Power Foldaway Mirrors
Controls for the outsidepower foldaway mirrorsare located on the driverdoor armrest.
Mirror Adjustment
1. Press (C) to fold the mirrors out to thedriving position.
2. Press (D) to fold the mirrors in to thefolded position.

Resetting the Power Foldaway Mirrors
Reset the power foldaway mirrors if:
.The mirrors are accidentally obstructedwhile folding.
.They are accidentally manually folded/unfolded.
.The mirrors will not stay in the unfolded position.
.The mirrors vibrate at normal driving speeds.
Fold and unfold the mirrors one time using the mirrorcontrols to reset them to their normal position.A popping noise may be heard during the resetting ofthe power foldaway mirrors. This sound is normal aftera manual folding operation.
Automatic Dimming
Adjust the driver outside mirror for the glare of theheadlamps behind your vehicle. SeeAutomaticDimming Rearview Mirroron page 3!43for moreinformation.
Turn Signal Indicator
The vehicle has a turn signal indicator on the mirror.An arrow on the mirror flashes in the direction of theturn or lane change.
Ground Illumination Lamps
The mirrors may also include ground illumination lampsin the base of the mirror. These lamps help to see thearea near the base of the front doors when it isdark out.
Park Tilt Mirrors
If the vehicle has the memory package, thepassenger and/or driver mirror tilts to a preselectedposition when the vehicle is in R (Reverse). This featurelets the driver view the curb when parallel parking. Themirror(s) return to the original position when the vehicleis shifted out of R (Reverse), or the ignition is turned offor to OFF/LOCK.

Side Blind Zone Alert (SBZA)
The vehicle may have a Side Blind Zone Alert (SBZA)system. Read this entire section before using thesystem.
{WARNING:
SBZA is only a lane changing aid and does not
replace driver vision. SBZA does not detect:
.Vehicles outside the side blind zones which
may be rapidly approaching.
.Pedestrians, bicyclists, or animals.
Failure to use proper care when changing lanes
may result in damage to the vehicle, injury,
or death. Always check the outside and rearview
mirrors, glance over your shoulder, and use the
turn signal before changing lanes.
When the system detects a vehicle in the side blindzone, amber SBZA displays light up in the side mirrors.This indicates that it may be unsafe to change lanes.Before making a lane change, always check the SBZAdisplay, check the outside and rearview mirrors, lookover your shoulder for vehicles and hazards, and usethe turn signal.

Turn the headlamp control to off and then back to theheadlamp on position to make the headlamps stay onfor an additional 10 minutes.
IntelliBeam®Intelligent High-Beam
Headlamp Control System
For vehicles with this feature, be sure to read thisentire section before using it.
IntelliBeam®is an enhancement to the vehicle'sheadlamp system. Using a digital light sensor on therearview mirror, this system will turn the vehicle'shigh-beam headlamps on and off according tosurrounding traffic conditions.
The IntelliBeam®system turns the high-beamheadlamps on when it is dark enough, there is no othertraffic present, and the IntelliBeam®system is enabled.
Turning On and Enabling IntelliBeam®
Press and release the IntelliBeam®button on the insiderear view mirror. The IntelliBeam®indicator on themirror will turn on to let you know the system has beenturned on. Once the system has been turned on, it willremain on each time the vehicle is started. Additionally,the IntelliBeam®system must be enabled.
To enable the IntelliBeam®system, turn the exteriorlamp control to AUTO, with the turn signal/multifunctionlever in its neutral position. The High-Beam On Lightwill appear on the instrument panel cluster when thehigh-beams are on. SeeHighbeam On Lightonpage 4!40.
Driving with IntelliBeam®
IntelliBeam®will only activate your high-beams whendriving over 20 mph (32 km/h).
The high-beam headlamps will remain on, under theautomatic control of IntelliBeam®, until any of thefollowing situations occur:
.The system detects an approaching vehicle'sheadlamps.
.The system detects a preceding vehicle'staillamps.
.The outside light is bright enough that high-beamheadlamps are not required.
.The vehicle's speed drops below 15 mph(24 km/h).
