Stop the vehicle as soon as safely possible and do not
operate it until the cause of the low oil pressure has
been corrected. Check the oil as soon as possible and
have your vehicle serviced by your dealer/retailer. See

PARKING ASSIST BLOCKED SEE
OWNERS MANUAL
If your vehicle has the Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist
(URPA) system, this message displays if there is
something interfering with the park assist system. See
Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist (URPA)
on page 3‑48for more information.
PARKING ASSIST OFF
After the vehicle has been started, this message
displays to remind the driver that the Ultrasonic Rear
Parking Assist (URPA) system has been turned off.
Press the set/reset button to acknowledge this message
and clear it from the DIC display. To turn the URPA
system back on, seeUltrasonic Rear Parking Assist
(URPA) on page 3‑48.
PASSENGER DOOR OPEN
This message displays and a chime sounds if the front
passenger door is not fully closed and the vehicle is
shifted out of P (Park). Stop and turn off the vehicle,
check the door for obstructions, and close the door
again. Check to see if the message still appears on
the DIC.
REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE
This message displays while you are matching a
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter to your
vehicle. See “Matching Transmitter(s) to Your Vehicle”
under Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System Operation
on page 3‑4andDIC Operation and Displayson
page 4‑40for more information.
REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY
This message displays if a Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) transmitter battery is low. The battery needs to
be replaced in the transmitter. See “Battery
Replacement” underRemote Keyless Entry (RKE)

This message displays and a chime sounds if the
passenger side rear door is not fully closed and the

This message displays if there is a problem with the
airbag system. Have your dealer/retailer inspect the

SERVICE BATTERY CHARGING
SYSTEM
On some vehicles, this message displays if there is a
problem with the battery charging system. Under certain
conditions, the charging system light may also turn on
in the instrument panel cluster. See Charging System
Light
on page 4‑30. Driving with this problem could
drain the battery. Turn off all unnecessary accessories.
Have the electrical system checked as soon as
possible. See your dealer/retailer.
SERVICE BRAKE SYSTEM
This message displays along with the brake system
warning light if there is a problem with the brake
system. See Brake System Warning Light

page 4‑31. If this message appears, stop as soon as
possible and turn off the vehicle. Restart the vehicle
and check for the message on the DIC display. If the
message is still displayed or appears again when you
begin driving, the brake system needs service as soon
as possible. See your dealer/retailer.

This message displays if there is a problem with the
brake system. If this message appears, stop as soon as
possible and turn off the vehicle. Restart the vehicle

This message displays if there is a problem with the

SERVICE STABILITRAK
If your vehicle has StabiliTrak®and this message
displays, it means there may be a problem with the
StabiliTrak system. If you see this message, try to reset
the system. Stop; turn off the engine for at least
15 seconds; then start the engine again. If this message
still comes on, it means there is a problem. You should
see your dealer/retailer for service. The vehicle is safe
to drive, however, you do not have the benefit of
StabiliTrak, so reduce your speed and drive accordingly.
SERVICE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
This message displays when the Road Sensing
Suspension (RSS) system is not operating properly.
Have your vehicle serviced by your dealer/retailer.
SERVICE THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM
This message displays when there is a problem with the
theft-deterrent system. The vehicle may or may not
restart so you may want to take the vehicle to your
dealer/retailer before turning off the engine. See
PASS-Key

page 3‑28for more information.
SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM
On vehicles with the Tire Pressure Monitor System
(TPMS), this message displays if a part on the TPMS is
not working properly. The tire pressure light also flashes
and then remains on during the same ignition cycle.

conditions may cause this message to appear. See Tire

information. If the warning comes on and stays on,
there may be a problem with the TPMS. See your

SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL
If your vehicle has StabiliTrak, this message displays
when there is a problem with the Traction Control
System (TCS). When this message displays, the
system will not limit wheel spin. Adjust your driving
accordingly. See your dealer/retailer for service. See

information.
STABILITRAK OFF
If your vehicle has StabiliTrak, this message
displays when you turn off StabiliTrak, or when the
stability control has been automatically disabled.
To limit wheel spin and realize the full benefits of the
stability enhancement system, you should normally
leave StabiliTrak on.

Q,R,q,r(Menu Navigation Arrows):Use the
arrow buttons to navigate through a menu.
r(Enter): Press to select the choice that is
highlighted in any menu.
z(Display Menu): Press to adjust the brightness,
screen display mode (normal, full, or zoom), and display
the language menu.
q(Return): Press to exit the current active menu and
return to the previous menu. This button operates only
when the display menu or a DVD menu is active.
c(Stop): Press to stop playing, fast reversing, or
fast forwarding a DVD. Press twice to return to the
beginning of the DVD.
s(Play/Pause): Press to start playing a DVD.
Press while a DVD is playing to pause it. Press again
to continue playing the DVD.
When the DVD is playing, depending on the radio,
you might be able to do slow play by pressing the
play/pause button then pressing the fast forward button.
The DVD continues playing in a slow play mode. You
can also, depending on the radio, perform reverse slow
play by pressing the play/pause button and then
pressing the fast reverse button. To cancel slow play
mode, press the play/pause button.
t(Previous Track/Chapter): Press to return to the
start of the current track or chapter. Press again to go to
the previous track or chapter. This button might not
work when the DVD is playing the copyright information
or the previews.
u(Next Track/Chapter): Press to go to the beginning
of the next chapter or track. This button might not work
when the DVD is playing the copyright information or
the previews.
r(Fast Reverse): Press to fast reverse the DVD or
CD. To stop fast reversing a DVD video, press the
play/pause button. To stop fast reversing a DVD audio
or CD, release the fast reverse button. This button
might not work when the DVD is playing the copyright
information or the previews.
[(Fast Forward): Press to fast forward the DVD or
CD. To stop fast forwarding a DVD video, press the
play/pause button. To stop fast forwarding a DVD audio
or CD, release the fast forward button. This button
might not work when the DVD is playing the copyright
information or the previews.
e(Audio): Press to change audio tracks on DVDs that
have this feature when the DVD is playing. The format
and content of this function vary for each disc.

vehicle's radio by learning a portion of the Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN). The radio does not operate
if it is stolen or moved to a different vehicle.
