  Keyless Entry and Starting 
 This system allows you to unlock, lock and star t your vehicle while keeping the key on your person and in the defined zone. 
 This system measures the size of a space and advises whether parking is possible.

 The  "ECO"  warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel and the engine goes into standby; with an electronic gear control gearbox  and speeds below 4 mph (6 km/h), press the brake pedal or put the gear lever in position  N . 
  Going into engine START mode 
  Deactivation/Reactivation 
 You can deactivate the system at any time by pressing the  "ECO OFF"  button; the button's warning lamp comes on.

 The system is automatically reactivated every time the engine is star ted with the key. 
 Before refuelling or doing anything under the bonnet, you must switch off the ignition with the key. 
 The  "ECO"  warning lamp goes off and the engine restar ts  with an electronic gear control gearbox : 
   -   with the gear lever in position  A  or  M  or  release the brake pedal,   -   or with the gear lever in position  N  and brake pedal released, move the gear lever to position  A  or  M ,   -   or engage reverse.  
 In cer tain circumstances, the STOP mode may not be available; the  "ECO"  warning lamp flashes for a few seconds, then goes off. 
 In cer tain circumstances, START mode may be invoked automatically; the  "ECO"  warning lamp flashes for a few seconds, then goes off.

Warning lampis onCauseAction/Obser vations
Diesel engine pre-heating  fixed.   The ignition switch is at the2nd position (ignition on).  Wait until the warning lamp goes off before star tin g * .  The period of illumination of the warning lamp is determined by the climatic conditions (up to about thir ty seconds in extreme climatic conditions).  If the engine does not star t, switch the ignition off and then on, wait until the warning lamp goes off again,  then star t the engine. 
Parking brake  fixed.   The parking brake is applied or not properly released.  Release the parking brake to switch off the warning lamp, keeping your foot on the brake pedal.  Obser ve the safety recommendations.  For fur ther information on the parking brake, refer t o the "Driving" section. 
Deactivation of the automatic functions of the electric parking brake
  fixed.   The "automatic application" (on switching off the engine) and "automatic release" functions are deactivated or faulty. 
 Activate the function (according to country) via the vehicle configuration menu or contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop if automatic applicatio n/release is not possible.  The parking brake can be released manually using th e emergency release procedure.  For more information on the electric parking brake, refer to the "Driving" section. 
  *   If your vehicle is fitted with Keyless Entry and Star ting, the warning lamp goes off immediately.

  CHECK (vehicle autotest) 
  Automatic CHECK 
 With the key in the ignition on position, all of the warning lamps for the functions tested are displaye d. They are switched off after a few seconds.  At the same time, an automatic CHECK (vehicle autotest) is carried out. 
  In the presence of a fault 
 A "minor" fault has been detected: the warning lamp(s) are displayed then go off.  You can star t your vehicle; however, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop as soon as possible.  A "major" fault has been detected: the associated warning lamps(s) remain on accompanied by the STOP or SERVICE warning lamp.  Do not star t your vehicle.  Call a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified 
workshop without delay.  
  Manual CHECK 
 Pressing the  "CHECK"  button on the instrument panel star ts the manual CHECK (vehicle autotest).  This function enables you to recall at any time (with the key in the ignition on position or with the engine running), the aler ts present. 
 The passenger's airbag deactivated warning lamp *  remains on while the airbag is deactivated.   
With the engine running and the vehicle moving, the instrument panel displays  the warning lamps (in the event of a fault). 
 If no "major" fault is found, you can star t your vehicle.  
  Lighting dimmer control 
 With the headlamps on, press button  B  to increase the brightness of the instruments and controls and the interior mood lighting or button A  to reduce it.  As soon as the lighting reaches the required level of brightness, release the button.
