Rear parcel shelf To fold it:
unhook the two cords,
fold it concertina-style to the rear
seats.
To remove it:
fold the rear parcel shelf as de-
scribed above,
u n c l i p t h e fi x i n g s o n t h e l e f t a n d o n
the right by pushing gently,
place your hands as shown on the
illustration then pull the assembly
towards you, To store it at the bottom of the boot:
remove the rear parcel shelf as de-
scribed above,
p l a c e t h e fl o o r a t a n a n g l e ,
place the rear parcel shelf in its lo-
cation (recess marked A ), at bottom
of the boot,
the rear parcel shelf will be protected if
y o u p l a c e t h e fl o o r i n t h e i n t e r m e d i a t e
position.
This consists of three sections which
can be folded back on each other.
To put it back in place:
take hold of the rear parcel shelf
with both hands then place it on its
support,
unfold it to the boot pillars,
hook the two cords,
if necessary, press on the top of the
rear parcel shelf, on the left and on
t h e r i g h t , t o e n g a g e t h e fi x i n g s .

Adjustable boot floor
T h i s t h r e e p o s i t i o n fl o o r a l l o w s y o u t o o p -
timise the volume of the boot by means
of the guides placed on the sides:
- H i g h p o s i t i o n ( 5 0 k g m a x ) : t h e fl o o r is level with the closed lower tail-
gate.
You can load objects while keeping an area protected and isolated.
- Intermediate position (100 kg max): t h e fl o o r i s l e v e l w i t h t h e o p e n l o w e r
tailgate.
Y o u o b t a i n a fl a t fl o o r t o t h e f r o n t seats when the rear seats are in the
retracted position.
- Low position (150 kg max): maxi- mum boot volume. T o p l a c e a n d s u p p o r t t h e fl o o r a t a n a n g l e :
From the high position, raise the
fl o o r t o w a r d s t h e l o a d s p a c e c o v e r .
Do not hesitate to pass the two re-
t r a c t a b l e s t o p s t h e n p l a c e t h e fl o o r
back on these two stops.

the help of the support stops A , move

Torch
T h i s i s a r e m o v a b l e l a m p , fi t t e d i n t h e
boot wall, which can be used to illumi-
nate the boot or as a torch.
Operation
This torch operates with NiMH type re-
chargeable batteries.
It has a battery life of approximately
45 minutes and charges while you are
driving. Use
Extract the torch from its location
pulling the side of the torch A .
Press the switch, located on the
back, to switch the torch on or off.
Unfold the support, located on the
back, to set down and raise the
t o r c h ; f o r e x a m p l e , w h e n c h a n g i n g
a wheel.
Storing
Put the torch back in place in its loca-
tion starting with the narrow part B .
If you have forgotten to switch off the torch, this switches it off auto-
matically. Rear side blinds
Fitted on the rear windows, these protect
your young children from the sun.
Pull the blind by the central tab.
Position the blind attachment on the
hook.
Observe the polarities when
fi t t i n g t h e b a t t e r i e s .
Never replace the rechargeable batter-
ies with normal single-use batteries.
It the torch is not engaged cor-
rectly, it may not charge and
may not come on when the
boot is opened.
For the boot lighting function,
refer to the "Visibility - § Boot
lamp" section.

Front left seat moved back fully.
In the event of the electric parking brake
malfunctioning or the battery running
fl a t , a n e m e r g e n c y m a n u a l d e v i c e c a n
release the parking brake.
Emergency release
Immobilise the vehicle (or keep
it stationary, if the brake pedal is
pressed), with the engine running,
b y e n g a g i n g fi r s t g e a r ( m a n u a l g e a r -
box), position P (automatic gearbox)
or M or R (6-speed electronic gear
control gearbox).
Switch off the engine but leave the
ignition on. If it is impossible to im-
mobilise the vehicle, do not operate
the control and contact a PEUGEOT
dealer urgently.
Fetch the two vehicle blocks and
the release device, located under
the boot carpet (see "Changing a
wheel" in the "Practical information"
section).
Immobilise the vehicle by placing
blocks in front and behind one of the
front wheels.
Slide the front left-hand seat back
as far as possible.
L i f t u p t h e fl o o r p l u g B in the carpet
under the seat.
Pierce the protective cover C on the
tube D with the release device.
Place the release device in the tube D .
Turn the release device clockwise.
For safety reasons , it is essential
to continue turning the device as far
as it will go. The parking brake is re-
leased.
Remove the release device and
store it with the blocks in the tool-
box.
- The operation of the parking brake reinitialises when the igni-
tion is switched off then on again.
If the reinitialisation of the parking
brake proves impossible, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
- The subsequent time required for application may be longer than dur-
ing normal operation.
For safety reasons, you must
contact a PEUGEOT dealer
as soon as possible to replace
the protective cover.
Following an emergency unlocking,
immobilisation of the vehicle is no
longer guaranteed once the manual
emergency release has been de-
ployed and the manual control does
not allow the re-application of your
parking brake.
Take no action, either on the control
lever A , or stopping or starting the
engine while the release device is
engaged.
Take care not to allow moisture or
dust in the proximity of the protective
cover.
