Your vehicle has been approved in
accordance with the new ISOFIX
regulation.
T h e r e a r s e a t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h r e g u l a t i o n
ISOFIX mountings.
These are three rings for each seat:
- t w o l o w e r r i n g s A , l o c a t e d
between the vehicle's seat back
a n d c u s h i o n ,
- a n u p p e r r i n g B , r e f e r r e d t o a s
t h e T O P T E T H E R , l o c a t e d a t
the rear of the seat back at the
bottom. The
ISOFIX child seats a r e fi t t e d
with two latches and/or a strap which
a r e s e c u r e d e a s i l y o n t h e s e r i n g s ,
indicated by labels or a mark on the
rear seat back panel.

1. Insert the key.
2. Select the "OFF" position
3. Remove the key in the OFF
position. When the ignition is switched

until the driver fastens their
seat belt.
Above a speed of approximately
1 0 m p h ( 1 5 k m / h ) , t h e w a r n i n g l a m p
fl a s h e s a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e
signal until the driver fastens their
seat belt.

ADVICE ON CHILD SEATS
The incorrect installation of a
child seat in a vehicle compromises
the child's protection in the event of
an accident.
Remember to fasten the seat belts or
the child seat harness k e e p i n g t h e
s l a c k in relation to the child's body to
a minimum , even for short journeys.
To install a child seat using the
vehicle's seat belt, ensure that the
belt is well tightened on the child seat
a n d t h a t i t h o l d s t h e c h i l d s e a t fi r m l y
against the vehicle's seat.
For optimum installation of the
"forward facing" child seat, ensure
that the back of the child seat is in
contact with the back of the vehicle's
seat and that the head restraint does
not cause any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be
removed, ensure that it is stored or
attached securely to prevent it from
being thrown around the vehicle in
the event of sharp braking. Children under the age of 10 must not
travel in the "forward facing" position
on the front passenger seat, unless
the rear seats are already occupied
by other children, cannot be used or
are absent.
Deactivate the passenger airbag *
when a "rear facing" child seat is
installed on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk being
seriously injured or killed if the airbag
w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and
unsupervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To protect young children from the
r a y s o f t h e s u n , fi t s i d e b l i n d s o n t h e
rear windows.
I n s t a l l i n g a b o o s t e r s e a t
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child's
thighs.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of a
b o o s t e r s e a t w h i c h h a s a b a c k , fi t t e d
with a seat belt guide at shoulder
level.

2. Spare wheel/Additional storage compartments
Located under the carpet and a plastic
cover, this contains the tools for wheel
changing and towing.
There are two shelf storage options:
- either behind the rear seats,
- o r fl a t i n t h e b o o t .
1. Rear parcel shelf
To remove the shelf:
- u n h o o k t h e s h e l f f r o m i t s fi x i n g
A ,
- pull upwards on each side to d e t a c h i t f r o m i t s fi x i n g s ,
- raise then tilt the shelf slightly to remove it. In order to obtain additional
space, the spare wheel can
be removed temporarily
(boot tray available as an ac-
cessory).

SAFETY
For the front, lateral and
curtain airbags to be fully
effective, observe the
following safety rules:
W e a r a c o r r e c t l y a d j u s t e d s e a t b e l t .
Sit in a normal upright position.
Do not leave anything between the
occupants and the airbags (child,
a n i m a l , o b j e c t . . . ) . T h i s c o u l d h a m p e r
t h e o p e r a t i o n o f t h e a i r b a g s o r i n j u r e
the occupants.
A l l w o r k o n t h e a i r b a g s y s t e m s i s
strictly prohibited unless it is carried
o u t b y q u a l i fi e d p e r s o n n e l o f t h e
PEUGEOT dealer network or a
q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .
A f t e r a n a c c i d e n t o r i f t h e v e h i c l e h a s
been stolen or broken into, have the
airbag systems checked. Front airbags
Do not drive holding the steering
wheel by its spokes or resting your
hands on the centre part of the
wheel.
Passengers must not place their feet
on the dashboard.
Smoke as little as possible;
deployment of the airbags can cause
b u r n s o r t h e r i s k o f i n j u r y f r o m a
cigarette or pipe.
Never remove or pierce the steering
wheel or hit it violently.
Curtain airbags
D o n o t fi x o r a t t a c h a n y t h i n g t o t h e
pillars or the roof. This could cause
i n j u r y t o t h e h e a d w h e n t h e c u r t a i n
a i r b a g i n fl a t e s .
The deployment of an airbag or
airbags is accompanied by a slight
emission of harmless smoke and
a noise due to the activation of the
pyrotechnic cartridge incorporated
in the system. This smoke is not
harmful but sensitive individuals may
experience some irritation.
The detonation noise may result in
a slight loss of hearing for a short
time.
Even if all of the precautions
m e n t i o n e d a r e o b s e r v e d , i n j u r y o r
slight burns to the head, chest or arms
when the airbag is deployed cannot
b e r u l e d o u t . I n d e e d , t h e b a g i n fl a t e s
almost instantly (approximately
3 0 m i l l i s e c o n d s ) t h e n d e fl a t e s w i t h i n
the same time discharging hot gas
via the openings provided for this
purpose.
This equipment will only operate
once. If a second impact occurs
(during the same or a subsequent
a c c i d e n t ) , t h e a i r b a g w i l l n o t i n fl a t e .
Lateral airbags
Only put approved covers on the
seats, these will not hamper the
i n fl a t i o n o f t h e l a t e r a l a i r b a g s . C o n t a c t
a P E U G E O T d e a l e r o r a q u a l i fi e d
workshop.
D o n o t fi x o r a t t a c h a n y t h i n g t o t h e
front seat backs. This could cause
i n j u r y t o t h e c h e s t o r a r m s w h e n t h e
l a t e r a l a i r b a g i n fl a t e s .
Do not sit with the upper part of the
body any nearer to the door than
necessary.
