A minor fault has occurred for which there is no specific warning lamp. Identify the fault by reading the message shown on the screen, such as, for example: - the opening of the doors, boot or bonnet, - the engine oil level, - the remote control battery,
- the tyre pressures, - saturation of the par ticle emission filter on Diesel vehicles (see "Checks - § Checks/Par ticle emissions filter"). For any other faults, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

This indicates that the par ticle emissions filter is star ting to become
saturated.
As soon as driving conditions allow, regenerate the filter by driving at a speed of at least 35 mph (60 km/h)
until the warning lamp goes off.

particle emissions filter additive level is too low.
This indicates the low level of the additive reser voir. Have the reser voir topped up as soon as possible by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

107Access
Alarm *
System which protects and provides a deterrent agains t theft and break-ins. It provides the following types of monitoring.
- Exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle. The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a door, the boot, the bonnet...
- Interior volumetric
The system checks for any variation in the volume in the passenger compar tment. The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a window, enters the passenger compar tment or moves inside the vehicle.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
- Tilt
The system checks for any change in the attitude of the vehicle. The alarm is triggered if the vehicle is lifted, moved or knocked.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of
ser vice of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, the central control or the siren wiring are put out of ser vice or damaged.
For all work on the alarm system, contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Activation
 Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle. Press the locking button on the remote control. The monitoring system is active: the indicator lamp in the button flashes once per second.
After the locking button on the remote control is pressed, the exterior perimeter monitoring is activated after a delay of 5 seconds and the interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring after a delay of 45 seconds.
Deactivation
 Press the unlocking button on the remote control. The alarm system is deactivated: the indicator lamp in the button goes off.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the exterior perimeter monitoring will be activated after a delay of 45 seconds at the same time as the interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring.

Bonnet
Opening
 Open the front left door.  Pull the interior bonnet release lever A , located at the bottom of the door aper ture.
 Push the exterior safety catch B to the left and raise the bonnet.  Unclip the stay C from its housing.  Fix the stay in the notch to hold the bonnet open.
The location of the interior bonnet release lever prevents opening of
the bonnet while the front left door is closed.
When the engine is hot, handle the exterior safety catch and the bonnet stay with care (risk of burns).
Before doing anything under the bonnet, switch off the Stop & Star t
system to avoid any risk of injury resulting from an automatic change to START mode.

Closing
Running out of fuel
(Diesel)
If your vehicle is fitted with an HDI engine, the fuel system must be primed if you run out of fuel; refer to the engine compar tment view on the "Diesel engine" page.
1.6 litre Turbo HDI engine
 Fill the fuel tank with at least five litres of diesel.  Open the bonnet.  Squeeze and release the priming pump repeatedly until it hardens (it may be hard at the first press).  Operate the star ter until the engine star ts.  Close the bonnet.
If the engine does not star t first time, don't keep trying. Operate the priming pump again, then the star ter motor.
 Take the stay out of the suppor t notch.  Clip the stay in its housing.  Lower the bonnet and release it at the end of its travel.  Pull on the bonnet to check that it is secured correctly.
2 litre Turbo HDI engine
 Fill the fuel tank with at least five litres of
Diesel.  Open the bonnet.  Unclip the style cover for access to the priming pump.  Slacken the bleed screw.  Squeeze and release the priming pump repeatedly until fuel appears in the transparent pipe with the green connector.  Retighten the bleed screw.  Operate the star ter until the engine star ts.  Put the style cover back in position and clip it in place.  Close the bonnet.

Closing
Running out of fuel
(Diesel)

Topping up
The reser voir must be topped up without delay by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Used products
Avoid prolonged contact of used oil or fluids with the skin. Most of these fluids are harmful to health or indeed very corrosive.
Do not discard used oil or fluids into sewers or onto the ground. Take used oil to a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop (France) or to an authorised waste disposal site.
 Open the bonnet and secure it with the stay.  Open the screenwash reser voir filler cap.  Take and pinch the level gauge to block its breather.  Remove the gauge completely from the reser voir to read the level in the transparent section.  Top up if necessary.  Refit the filler cap to the reser voir and close the bonnet.
Specifi cation of the fl uid
To ensure optimum cleaning and to avoid freezing, the fluid should never be topped up or replaced by plain water.
According to your version of instrument panel, the additive reser voir low level is indicated by:
- fixed illumination of the particle emissions filter warning lamp, accompanied by an audible signal and a message that the particle emissions filter additive level is too low,
or
- fixed illumination of the ser vice warning lamp, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message that the par ticle emissions filter additive level is too low.

Battery
Procedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.
The battery is located under the bonnet. To gain access to it:  open the bonnet using the interior release lever, then the exterior safety catch,  secure the bonnet stay,
 remove the plastic cover to gain access to the two terminals,  unclip the fusebox to remove the battery, if necessary.
Access to the battery
 Raise the locking tab fully.
Disconnecting the cables
After refitting the battery, the Stop & Start system will only be active after a continuous period of immobilisation of the vehicle, a period which depends on the climatic conditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours).
The presence of this label, in par ticular with the Stop & Star t system, indicates the use of a 12 V lead-acid battery with special technology and specification; the involvement of a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop is essential when replacing or disconnecting the battery. Failure to obser ve this recommendation
may cause premature wear of the battery.
Reconnecting the cables
 Position the open clip 1 of the cable on the positive terminal (+) of the battery.  Press ver tically on the clip 1 to position it correctly against the battery.  Lock the clip by lowering the tab 2 .
Do not force the tab as locking will not be possible if the clip is not positioned correctly; star t the procedure again.
