MONITORING
Certain warning lamps may come
on in two different modes. Only by
relating the type of lighting to the
operating status of the vehicle can
it be ascertained whether the situ-
ation is normal or whether a fault
has occurred.
Indicator and warning lamps
Visual indicators informing the driver that a system is in operat
ion (operation or deactivation indicator lamps) or of the
occurrence of a fault (warning lamp).
Associated warnings
The switching on of certain warning lamps may be accompanied b y an audible
signal and a message on the multifunction screen.

Operation indicator lamps
I f o n e o f t h e f o l l o w i n g i n d i c a t o r l a m p s c o m e s o n , t h i s c o n fi r m s t h a t t h e c o r r e s p o n d i n g
system has come into operation.
When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few seconds wh
en the vehicle's ignition is switched on.
When the engine is started, these same warning lam ps should switch off.
If they remain on, before moving off, refer to the information on the warning lamp concerned.

Once this menu has been selected, you
can gain access to the following settings:
- brightness-video setting,
- date and time setting,
- selection of the units.
Example: setting of the duration of the
"guide-me-home" lighting
Press the " " or " " buttons, then
the "OK" button to select the menu
required.
Press the " " or " " buttons,
then the "OK" button to select the
"Guide-me-home headlamps" line.
Press the " " or " " buttons to set
the value required (15, 30 or 60 sec-
onds), then press the "OK" button

Choice of language
Once this menu has been selected,
you can change the language used
by the display (Deutsch, English,
Espanol, Français, Italiano, Nederlands,
Portugues, Türkçe, Portugues-Brasil). Once the fuel consumption unit has
been changed to l/100 km or km/l,
the information relating to speed
and distance also changes to kilo-
metres. Telephone menu
With the Audio system on, with this menu
s e l e c t e d , y o u c a n c o n fi g u r e y o u r B l u e -
tooth hands-free kit (pairing), view the
various telephone directories (call log,
services...) and manage your calls (call,
hang up, double call, secret mode ...).

LIGHTING CONTROLS
System for selection and control of the
various front and rear lamps providing
the vehicle's lighting.
Main lighting
The various front and rear lamps of the
vehicle are designed to adapt the driver's
visibility progressively according to cli-
matic conditions:
- sidelamps, to be seen,
- dipped beam headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,
- main beam headlamps to see clearly when the road is clear.
Additional lighting
O t h e r l a m p s a r e i n s t a l l e d t o f u l fi l t h e
requirements of particular conditions of
visibility:
- a rear foglamp to be seen from afar,
- front foglamps for even better for- ward vision.
Programming
Various automatic lighting control
modes are also available according to
the following options:
- guide-me-home lighting,
- automatic illumination of headlamps. Model without AUTO lighting

Manual controls
The lighting commands are issued di-
rectly by the driver by means of the
ring
A and the stalk B .
A. Main lighting mode selection ring:
turn it to position the symbol re-
quired facing the mark.
Lamps off.
Sidelamps only.
B.
Stalk for switching headlamps: pull
to switch the lighting between dipped
headlamps/main beam headlamps.
In the lamps off and sidelamps modes,
the driver can switch on the main beam
headlamps temporarily ("headlamp
fl a s h " ) b y m a i n t a i n i n g a p u l l o n t h e
stalk. Dipped headlamps or main
beam headlamps.
Displays
Lighting of the corresponding indicator

Model with rear foglamp only Rear foglamp
To switch on the foglamp, turn the
ring C forwards.
When the lighting is switched off au-
t o m a t i c a l l y ( w i t h A U T O m o d e l ) , t h e
foglamp and the dipped beam head-
lamps will remain on.
To switch off all of the lighting, turn
the ring C rearwards. In good or rainy weather, by both
day and night, the front foglamps
and the rear foglamp are prohib-
ited. In these situations, the power
of their beams may dazzle other
drivers.
Do not forget to switch off the front
foglamps and the rear foglamp when
they are no longer necessary.
Lighting on audible warning
When the ignition is switched off,
all of the lamps switch off automati-
cally, unless guide-me-home ligh-
ting is activated.
If the lighting is switched on manu-
ally after switching off the ignition,
there is an audible signal when a
front door is opened to warn the
driver that they have forgotten to
switch off the vehicle's lighting, with
the ignition off.

C. Foglamp selection ring.
The foglamps operate with the dipped
and main beam headlamps. When the lighting is switched off auto-
m a t i c a l l y ( w i t h A U T O m o d e l ) o r w h e n
the dipped headlamps are switched off
manually, the foglamps and sidelamps
will remain on.
Turn the ring rearwards to switch
off the foglamps, the sidelamps will
then switch off.

Manual guide-me-home lighting
Temporarily keeping the dipped beam
headlamps on after the vehicle's igni-
tion has been switched off makes the
driver's exit easier when the light is
poor.
Switching on

the instrument panel.
Automatic illumination of
headlamps
The sidelamps and dipped beam head-
lamps are switched on automatically,
without any action on the part of the
driver, when a low level of external light
is detected or in certain cases of activa-
tion of the windscreen wipers.
As soon as the brightness returns to a
s u f fi c i e n t l e v e l o r a f t e r t h e w i n d s c r e e n
wipers are switched off, the lamps are
switched off automatically.
Activation
Turn ring A to the "AUTO" position.
The automatic illumination of head-
lamps is accompanied by a mes-
sage in the multifunction screen.
Deactivation
Turn ring A to a position other than
"AUTO" . Deactivation is accompa-
nied by a message in the multifunc-
tion screen.
The instruments and controls (instru-
ment panel, multifunction screen, air
c o n d i t i o n i n g c o n t r o l p a n e l , e t c . ) a r e n o t
illuminated, except on switching to the
automatic lighting mode or when the
lighting is switched on manually.
This function can be activated/deacti-
vated by a CITROËN dealer. In some weather conditions (e.g.
l o w t e m p e r a t u r e o r h u m i d i t y ) , t h e
presence of misting on the internal
surface of the glass of the head-
lamps and rear lamps is normal;
it disappears after the lamps have
been on for a few minutes.

VISIBILITY In fog or snow, the sunshine sen-
s o r m a y d e t e c t s u f fi c i e n t l i g h t .
Therefore, the lamps will not come
on automatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sen-
sor, linked with the rain sensor and
located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the rear view mirror;
the associated functions would no
longer be controlled.
Linked with the Guide-me-home
lighting
Association with the automatic illumina-
tion of headlamps provides the guide-me-
home lighting with the following additional
options:
- automatic activation of guide-me-
home lighting when automatic illu-
mination of headlamps is switched
on (in the vehicle parameters of the
m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n
m e n u ) ,
- selection of the duration of maintain- ing of the lighting for 15, 30 or 60 sec-
onds in the vehicle parameters of
t h e m u l t i f u n c t i o n s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a -
tion menu (except for monochrome
screen A w h e r e t h i s i s p r e s e t ) .
Operating fault In the event of a malfunction
of the sunshine sensor, the
lamps come on, this warn-
ing lamp is displayed in the
instrument panel and/or a message
appears in the multifunction screen, ac-
companied by an audible signal.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
The initial setting is position "0" .
To avoid causing a nuisance to other
road users, the height of the halogen
headlamps should be adjusted accord-
ing the load in the vehicle.
0. 1 or 2 people in the front seats.
-. Less than 5 people.
1. 5 people.
-. 5 people + maximum authorised load.
2 - 3. Driver + maximum authorised load.
