VISIBILITY In fog or snow, the sunshine sen-

Linked with the Guide-me-home

tion of headlamps provides the guide-

hicle parameters of the multifunction

- selection of the duration of main- taining of the lighting for 15, 30 or
60 seconds in the vehicle param-

Operating fault In the event of a malfunction
of the sunshine sensor, the
lamps come on, this warn-
ing lamp is displayed in the

companied by an audible signal.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
HEADLAMP ADJUSTMENT
The initial setting is position "0" .
To avoid causing a nuisance to other
road users, the height of the halogen
headlamps should be adjusted accord-
ing the load in the vehicle.
0. 1 or 2 people in the front seats.

1. 5 people.

This system is independent and in
no circumstances does it take the
place of the central locking control.
Check the status of the child lock
each time you switch on the ignition.
Always remove the key from the
ignition when leaving the vehicle,
even for a short time.
In the event of a serious impact,
the electric child lock is deactivated
automatically to permit the exit of
the rear passengers.
MANUAL CHILD LOCK
M e c h a n i c a l s y s t e m t o p r e v e n t o p e n i n g
of the rear door using its interior control.
The control is located on the edge of
each rear door.
Insert the ignition key in the red
control.
Turn in the direction indicated by the
arrow marked on the door.
ELECTRIC CHILD LOCK
Control system to prevent opening of the
rear doors using their interior controls and
use of the rear electric windows.
The control is located on the driver's
door, with the electric window controls.
Press button A .
The indicator lamp on button A comes
on, accompanied by a message in the
multifunction screen.
This indicator lamp remains on until the
child lock is deactivated.
Locking
Unlocking
Insert the ignition key in the red
control.
Turn in the opposition direction to
the arrow marked on the door. Activation
Deactivation
Press button A again.
The indicator lamp in button A goes off,
accompanied by a message in the mul-
tifunction screen.
This indicator lamp remains off until the
child lock is activated.
Any other status of the indicator
lamp indicates a malfunction of the
electric child lock. Have it checked
b y a C I T R O Ë N d e a l e r .
The activation of the function is

Height adjustment
Seat belt not fastened/unfastened
warning lamp
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
To lower the attachment point,
squeeze the control A and slide it
downwards.
To raise the attachment point, slide
the control A upwards.
When the ignition is switched
on, this warning lamp comes on,
either on the instrument panel or
on the seat belt and passenger's
front airbag warning lamp display, if the
driver and/or the front passenger has not
fastened their seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h)
t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s
accompanied by an audible signal. Once
these two minutes have elapsed, this
warning lamp remains on until the driver
and/or the front passenger fastens their
seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up. SEAT BELTS
Front seat belts
T h e f r o n t s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a p r e -
tensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the front
seats in the event of a front or side im-
pact. Depending on the severity of the
impact, the pretensioning system in-
stantly tightens the seat belts against
the body of the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active
when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt on the chest of the occu-
pant, so improving their protection.

Rear seat belts

Locking
When the rear side side belts are not being
used, you can lock them in place. To do so:
Raise the grip A to its maximum
height.
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened
correctly by pulling the strap.
Seat belt unfastened warning lamp
display
When the ignition is switched on, the corre-
sponding warning lamps 4 , 5 and 6 come
o n i n r e d f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y 3 0 s e c o n d s , i f
the seat belt is not fastened.
When the engine is running or the vehicle
is moving, the corresponding warning
lamp 4 , 5 or 6 comes on in red, accompa-
nied by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction screen, if a rear pas-
senger has unfastened their seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up.
The corresponding warning lamp 2 or 3
comes on in red on the seat belt and
passenger's front airbag warning lamp
display if the seat belt is not fastened or
is unfastened. Seat belt unfastened warning lamp
This warning lamp comes on, either
on the instrument panel or on the
seat belt and passenger's front airbag
warning lamp display, when one or
more rear passengers unfasten their seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h),
t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n u t e s
accompanied by an audible signal of in-
creasing volume. Once these two minutes
have elapsed, this warning lamp remains
on until the one or more rear passengers
fasten their seat belt.

If at least one of the two airbag
warning lamps come on continu-
ously, do not install a child seat on
the front passenger seat.
Have the system checked by a
CITROËN dealer.
Operating fault
If this warning lamp comes on in the
instrument panel, accompanied by
an audible warning and a message
in the multifunction screen, con-
tact a CITROËN dealer to have the system
checked. The airbags may no longer be de-
ployed in the event of a serious impact.
Reactivation
When you remove the child seat, turn
switch 1 to the "ON" position to reacti-
vate the airbag and so assure the safety
of your front passenger in the event of
an impact.
With the ignition on, this warn-
ing lamp comes on in the instru-
ment panel or in the seat belt
and passenger's front airbag
warning lamp display for approximately
one minute, if the passenger's front air-
bag is activated. To assure the safety of your child,
it is imperative that the passenger's
front airbag is deactivated when
you install a "rearwards-facing"
child seat on the front passenger
seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk be-
ing seriously injured or killed if the
airbag were deployed.
According to version, this warn-
ing lamp comes on either in
the instrument panel or on the
seat belt and passenger's front
airbag warning lamp display when the
ignition is on and until the airbag is re-
activated. I f t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s ,
contact a CITROËN dealer.
The passenger's front airbag
may no longer be deployed in
the event of a serious impact.
Deactivation
Only the passenger's front airbag can
be deactivated:
with the ignition off , insert the key
in the passenger air bag deactiva-
tion switch 1 ,
turn it to the "OFF" position,
then, remove the key keeping the
switch in this position.

Lateral airbags
System which protects the driver and
front passenger in the event of a seri-
ous side impact in order to limit the risk
of injury to the chest, between the hip
and the shoulder.

backrest frame, door side.
Deployment
The lateral airbags are deployed unilater-
ally in the event of a serious side impact
applied to all or part of the side impact
zone B , perpendicular to the longitudinal
centreline of the vehicle on a horizontal
plane and directed from the outside to-
wards the inside of the vehicle.
System which protects the driver and
passengers (with the exception of the
rear centre passenger) in the event of a
serious side impact in order to limit the
risk of injury to the side of the head.
Each curtain airbag is built into the pil-
lars and the upper passenger compart-
ment area. Operating fault
Deployment
The curtain airbag is deployed at the same
time as the corresponding lateral airbag in
the event of a serious side impact applied
to all or part of the side impact zone
B , per-
pendicular to the longitudinal centreline of
the vehicle on a horizontal plane and di-
rected from the outside towards the inside
of the vehicle.

front or rear occupant of the vehicle and
the windows.
In the event of a minor impact or
bump on the side of the vehicle or
if the vehicle rolls over, the airbag
may not be deployed.
In the event of a rear or front colli-
sion, the airbag is not deployed.

If this warning lamp comes on in the
instrument panel, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message
in the multifunction screen, con-
tact a CITROËN dealer to have the system
checked. The airbags may no longer be de-
ployed in the event of a serious impact.

DRIVING
SPEED LIMITER
System which prevents the vehicle from
e x c e e d i n g t h e s p e e d p r o g r a m m e d b y
the driver.
When the programmed speed limit is
reached, pressing the accelerator pedal in
the normal manner no longer has any effect.
The controls of this system are grouped
together on stalk A .
1. Speed limiter mode selection thumb
wheel.
2. Value decrease button.
3. Value increase button.
4. Speed limiter on/off button. The programmed information is grouped
together on the instrument panel screen.
5. Speed limiter on/off indication.

Steering mounted controls Displays on the instrumen

The speed limiter cannot, in any
circumstances, replace the need
to respect speed limits, nor can it
replace the need for vigilance and
responsibility on the part of the
driver.
The speed limiter is
switched on man-
u a l l y : i t r e q u i r e s a p r o g r a m m e d s p e e d
o f a t l e a s t 2 0 m p h ( 3 0 k m / h ) .
The speed limiter is switched off by
manual operation of the control.
T h e p r o g r a m m e d s p e e d c a n b e e x -
ceeded temporarily by pressing the ac-
c e l e r a t o r fi r m l y .
To return to the programmed speed,
simply slow down to a speed below the
programmed speed.
The programmed speed remains in the
memory when the ignition is switched
off.
