light “DIFF. LOCK”
This indicator light and the On-Command differen-
tial gear lock indicator in the display come on when
the On-Command differential gear lock switch is
set to the “LOCK” position.
When the switch is set to “LOCK”, the On-Com-
mand differential gear lock indicator light will flash
until the differential gear is locked.

lever is in the “L” position.

Lorsque le contacteur est placé sur “LOCK”, le témoin
de blocage du différentiel clignote jusqu’à ce que le dif-
férentiel se bloque.

The On-Command four-wheel-drive indicator “”
comes on when the On-Command four-wheel-
drive switch is set to the “4WD” position.
The On-Command differential gear lock indicator
“” in the On-Command four-wheel-drive indica-
tor also comes on when the On-Command differ-
ential gear lock switch is set to the “LOCK”
position.

Due to the synchronizing mechanism in the dif-
ferential gear case, the four-wheel-drive indica-
tor may not come on until the vehicle starts
moving.


When the On-Command differential gear lock
switch is set to “LOCK”, the indicator “” will
flash until the differential gear is locked.

s’allume lorsque le commutateur du mode de traction
quatre roues motrices est réglé à la position “4WD”.
L’indicateur de commande de blocage du différentiel
“” s’allume dans l’indicateur de commande de trans-
mission quatre roues motrices lorsque le commutateur de
blocage du différentiel est réglé à la position “LOCK”.

En raison du mécanisme de synchronisation du diffé-
rentiel, l’indicateur de traction sur quatre roues ne
s’affiche cependant pas toujours tant que le véhicule
est à l’arrêt.


Lorsque le commutateur de blocage du différentiel
est réglé sur “LOCK”, l’indicateur “” clignote jus-
qu’à ce que le différentiel se bloque.

El indicador de tracción a las cuatro ruedas On-Com-
mand “” se ilumina cuando se sitúa el conmutador
de tracción en la posición “4WD”.
El indicador de bloqueo del diferencial On-Com-
mand “” en el indicador de tracción a las cuatro
ruedas también se ilumina cuando el conmutador de
bloqueo del diferencial se sitúa en la posición
“LOCK”.

Debido al mecanismo de sincronización del dife-
rencial, es posible que el indicador de tracción a
las cuatro ruedas no se ilumine hasta que el vehí-
culo empiece a moverse.


Cuando el conmutador de bloqueo del diferencial
On-Command se sitúa en la posición “LOCK”, el
indicador “” parpadea hasta que se bloquea el
diferencial.

Coolant temperature warning light “”
If the coolant temperature reaches a specified lev-
el, this light comes on to warn that the coolant tem-
perature is too hot. If the light comes on during
operation, stop the engine as soon as it is safe to
do so and allow the engine to cool down for about
10 minutes. (See page 8-158.)
The electrical circuit of the warning light can be
checked by turning the key to “ON”. If the warning
light does not come on, have a Yamaha dealer
check the electrical circuit.NOTICE

The engine may overheat if the vehicle is
overloaded. If this happens, reduce the
load to specification.


After restarting, make sure that the light is
out. Continuous use while the light is on
may cause damage to the engine.
