Engine oil specification
Only specially approved engine oils may be used in vehicles
using the LongLife Service concept. The LongLife Service (maximum length 2 years) is only valid if engine oils
approved for the LongLength Service are used. Therefore, when filling and
topping up the engine, only engine oils with the following VW specifications
may be used:
The instruction manual indicates the oil which should be used for your
vehicle engine.
If the specified engine oil is not used, the maintenance intervals given for the
SEAT inspection service should be observed.
SEAT interval service inspectionWhat is the SEAT Inspection Service?
With the SEAT Inspection Service the service intervals are
fixed.Unlike the LongLife Service, the SEAT inspection service is a conventional
service with fixed maintenance intervals.
A reminder label for the scheduled inspection services is located on the
inside of the driver door frame; you will also be reminded by the service
interval counter on the instrument panel, and the service records in this docu-
ment.
The SEAT inspection service is applied whenever the conditions for the use of
the LongLife Service are not met, or where this service is not desired.
Please observe inspection intervals and ensure your vehicle is serviced as
required. Please note that failure to observe the inspection intervals may
lead to damage to your vehicle.
