REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
aDisconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
aRemove the air filter unit (see 12A, Fuel mixture,
Air filter unit: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-13) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
aDisconnect the throttle valve connector.
aRemove:
-the throttle valve bolts,
-the throttle valve,
-the throttle valve seal.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
aparts always to be replaced: Throttle valve seal.aRefit:
-the new seal on the throttle valve,
-the throttle valve,
-the throttle valve bolts.
aTorque tighten the throttle valve bolts (10 N.m).
aConnect the throttle valve connector.
II - FINAL OPERATION
aRefit the air filter unit (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Air fil-
ter unit: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-13) .
aConnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
aReinitialise the programming of the stops (see Fault
finding - Replacement of components) (17B,
Petrol injection). Tightening torquesm

REMOVAL

aRemove the front engine cover.
aDisconnect the battery ( (see Battery: Removal -
Refitting) ).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
aDisconnect the injection computer connectors (1) .
aRemove the nuts (2) from the computer on the bat-
tery tray.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
aPosition the new injection computer making sure the
positioning lug is engaged, then fit the computer
onto the studs.
aRefit the computer nuts on the battery tray.aTorque tighten the computer nuts (4 Nm).
aConnect the injection computer.
II - FINAL OPERATION.
aConnect the battery ( (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) ).
aRefit the engine cover. Tightening torquesm
computer nuts4 Nm

aCarry out the necessary configurations and/or pro-
gramming, using the Diagnostic tool (see Fault
finding - Replacement of components) (MR 413,

WARNING
Do not use any product designed to improve the
electr ical contact in the injection computer and oxy-
gen sensor connectors or on the bodies of the oxy-
gen sensors.
Failure to respect this advice prevents the oxygen
sensor from operating correctly and results in fail-
ure to comply with the emission control standard.
WARNING
If the connections are corroded, repair the wiring
(see Wiring: Precautions for repair) (Technical
Note 6015A, 88A, Wiring).

aRemove the nuts (3) from the petrol injection com-
puter.
aDisconnect the connector (4) from the petrol injec-
tion computer.
aRemove the petrol injection computer.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION
aConnect the petrol injection computer connectors.
aRefit the petrol injection computer
II - FINAL OPERATION
aRefit:
-the injection computer protector,
-the tamperproof bolts available from the Parts De-
partment.
aTighten the tamperproof bolts until the head splits.
aRefit the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refitting)
(80A, Battery).aCarry out the necessary configurations and/or pro-
gramming, using the Diagnostic tool (see Fault
finding - Replacement of components) (17B,
Petrol injection).
