BATTERY
Procedure for charging your battery
w h e n i t i s fl a t o r f o r s t a r t i n g t h e e n g i n e
using another battery.
Access to the battery Starting using another battery
Connect the red cable to the posi-
t i v e t e r m i n a l ( + ) o f t h e fl a t b a t t e r y A ,
then to the positive terminal (+) of
the slave battery B .
Connect one end of the green or
black cable to the negative termi-
nal (-) of the slave battery B .
Connect the other end of the green
or black cable to the earth point C
on your vehicle (engine mounting).
O p e r a t e t h e s t a r t e r , l e t t h e e n g i n e
run.
Wait until the engine returns to idle
and disconnect the cables.
The battery is located under the bonnet.

open the bonnet using the interior
l e v e r , t h e n t h e e x t e r i o r l e v e r ,
s e c u r e t h e b o n n e t s t r u t ,
remove the plastic cover to gain ac-
c e s s t o t h e t w o t e r m i n a l s ,

CHANGING A WIPER BLADE
Procedure for replacing a worn wiper
blade with a new one without the use
of tools.
Removing a front or rear wiper
blade

blade in place and clip it.
Fold down the wiper arm carefully.

The towing eye is installed in the boot

secure it by hooking the cords on
t h e h o o k s o n t h e s h e l f s u p p o r t ,
r e m o v e t h e p o l y s t y r e n e b o x ,
remove the towing eye from the
holder. When towing with all four
w h e e l s o n t h e g r o u n d , a l w a y s
use a towbar.
When towing with only two wheels on
t h e g r o u n d , a l w a y s u s e p r o f e s s i o n a l
l i f t i n g e q u i p m e n t .
W h e n t o w i n g w i t h t h e e n g i n e o f f ,
there is no longer any braking or
steering assistance.
Place the gear lever in
neutral (position N on the
p i l o t e d m a n u a l g e a r b o x o r
a u t o m a t i c g e a r b o x ) .
Failure to observe this special
condition could result in dam-
age to certain braking com-
ponents and the absence of
b r a k i n g a s s i s t a n c e t h e n e x t
time the engine is started.

TOWING A TRAILER, A CARAVAN, ETC.
Your vehicle is primarily designed for

may also be used for towing a trailer. Driving advice

slope depends on the gradient and the
ambient temperature.

temperature.
Side wind
Take into account the increased
sensitivity to side wind.
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases
the temperature of the coolant.
A s t h e f a n i s e l e c t r i c a l l y c o n t r o l l e d , i t s
cooling capacity is not dependent on
the engine speed.
T o l o w e r t h e e n g i n e s p e e d , r e d u c e
your speed. Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking
distance.
Tyres
Check the tyre pressures of the
t o w i n g v e h i c l e a n d o f t h e t r a i l e r ,
observing the recommended pres-
sures.
Lighting
Check the electrical signalling on
the trailer.
The rear parking assistance
will be deactivated automati-
c a l l y i f a n o r i g i n a l P E U G E O T
towbar is used.

STOP warning lamp come

Distribute the load in the trailer so
that the heaviest items are as close
