The parking assistance sys-
tem cannot, in any circum-
stances, replace the need for
vigilance and responsibility on
the part of the driver.
The parking assistance is
switched off :
- when you exit reverse gear,
- when the speed is higher than 6 mph (10 km/h) in forward gear,
- when the vehicle has been stationary for more than three seconds in for-
ward gear. Deactivation Operating fault
The system will be deactivated
automatically when a trailer is
being towed or when a bicycle
c a r r i e r i s fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e fi t t e d w i t h a t o w -
bar or bicycle carrier recommended by
PEUGEOT).
Reactivation
Press button A again, the warning
lamp switches off, the system is re-
activated.
Press button A , the warning lamp
comes on, the system is fully deacti-
vated. In bad weather or in winter, en-
sure that the sensors are not
covered with mud, ice or snow.
When reverse gear is engaged, an
audible signal (long beep) indicates
that the sensors may be dirty.
When the vehicle is being driven at
a speed below approximately 6 mph
(10 km/h), certain sources of noise
(motorcycles, lorries, pneumatic
drills, ...) may trigger the parking as-
sistance audible signals. If an operating fault occurs,
this warning lamp is displayed
on the instrument panel and/
or a message appears on
the multifunction screen, ac-
companied by an audible signal (short
beep), when reverse gear is engaged.

particularly in summer and winter.
When carrying out work on the battery, re-

details of the precautions to be taken before
disconnecting the battery and following its
reconnection.
Air filter

the replacement intervals for
these components.
Depending on the environment
(e.g. dusty atmosphere) and the use of
the vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace

Parking the vehicle

Check that the braking warning light
and the P warning light on the park-
ing brake lever come on.
I f n e c e s s a r y , p l a c e a c h o c k u n d e r t h e
wheel diagonally opposite the wheel
to be changed.
I t i s i m p e r a t i v e t h a t y o u e n s u r e t h a t
the occupants get out of the vehicle
and wait where they are safe.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised
u s i n g a j a c k ; u s e a n a x l e s t a n d .
Removing the wheel
List of operations
R e m o v e t h e c h r o m e d b o l t c o v e r f r o m
each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
Fit the anti-theft socket 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 to unlock the anti-theft
bolt.
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 only.
Place the jack 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
ever is closest to the wheel to be
changed.
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e
that the centreline of the jack base
plate is directly below the location A
or B used.
R a i s e t h e v e h i c l e u n t i l t h e r e i s s u f -
fi c i e n t s p a c e b e t w e e n t h e w h e e l a n d
the ground to admit the spare (not
punctured) wheel easily.
R e m o v e t h e b o l t s a n d s t o r e t h e m i n

TOWING A TRAILER, A CARAVAN, ETC.
Your vehicle is primarily designed for
t r a n s p o r t i n g p e o p l e a n d l u g g a g e , b u t i t
may also be used for towing a trailer. Driving advice
T h e m a x i m u m t o w i n g l o a d o n a l o n g
slope depends on the gradient and the
ambient temperature.
I n a l l c a s e s , p a y a t t e n t i o n t o t h e c o o l a n t
temperature.
Side wind
Take into account the increased
sensitivity to side wind.
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases
the temperature of the coolant.
A s t h e f a n i s e l e c t r i c a l l y c o n t r o l l e d , i t s
cooling capacity is not dependent on
the engine speed.
T o l o w e r t h e e n g i n e s p e e d , r e d u c e
your speed. Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking
distance.
Tyres
Check the tyre pressures of the
t o w i n g v e h i c l e a n d o f t h e t r a i l e r ,
observing the recommended pres-
sures.
Lighting
Check the electrical signalling on
the trailer.
The rear parking assistance
will be deactivated automati-
c a l l y i f a n o r i g i n a l P E U G E O T
towbar is used.
