particularly useful when changing lane
on fast roads.

INSTRUMENTS and CONTROLS
The warning lights may come on c o n t i n u o u s l y o r fl a s h .
Certain warning lights may come on in two different modes. Only by relating the type of lighting to the operating status of the vehicle can it be ascertained whether the situa-tion is normal or whether a fault has occurred.
Indicator and warning lights
Visual indicators informing the driver that a system is in operation (operation or deactivation indicator lights) or of the occurrence of a fault (warning light).
Associated warnings
The switching on of certain warninglights may be accompanied by an audible signal and a message on the multifunction display.
Operation indicator lights
If one of the following indicator lights c o m e s o n , t h i s c o n fi r m s t h a t t h e c o r r e -sponding system has come into operation.
Left-hand direction indicator.
Handbrake applied.
Right-hand direction indicator.
Main beam headlamps.
Dipped headlamps.
Diesel engine pre-heating .
Wait until this goes off before
operating the starter.
Front fog lamps.
Rear fog lamp.
When the ignition is switched on
The warning lights come on for a few seconds when the vehicle's ignition is switched on.
When the engine is started, these war-ning lights should switch off.
If they remain on, before moving off, consult the warning light concerned.

STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
The height and depth of the steering
wheel can be adjusted to adapt the
driving position to the size of the driver.
A d j u s t m e n t
W h e n s t a t i o n a r y , pull the control to
unlock the steering wheel.
Adjust the height and depth.
Push the control to lock the steering
wheel.
As a safety precaution, it is impera-
tive that these operations are carried
out while the vehicle is stationary.
In order to guarantee optimum visibility when manoeuvring the vehicle, the
mirror lightens automatically when
reverse gear is engaged.

gressively changes between day and
night use.
In order to prevent dazzle, the interior
mirror glass darkens automatically de-
pending on the intensity of the light from
the rear.
It lightens when the light (light beam of

The indicator lamp 2 comes on and the
mirror operates automatically.

AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF THE DIRECTIONAL HEADLAMPS
Do not touch the xenon headlamps. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
In order to avoid causing a nuisance to
other road users, this system corrects
the height of the xenon headlamps beam
automatically and when stationary, in
relation to the load in the vehicle.
If a malfunction occurs, this
warning light and/or the service
warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message on
the multifunction display.
The system then places your head-
lamps in the lowest position.
DIRECTIONAL LIGHTING
When the dipped or main beam head-
lamps are on, this function enables the
light beam to follow the direction of the
road.
The use of this function, coupled with
the xenon headlamps only, considerably
i m p r o v e s t h e q u a l i t y o f y o u r l i g h t i n g
when cornering.
