If this is displayed, it indicates
the presence of water in the
d i e s e l fi l t e r .
There is a risk of damage to the injec-
tion system on Diesel engines.
Automatic headlamp
adjustment.
If this is displayed, it indicates the
occurrence of a fault in the auto-
matic headlamp adjustment. P a r t i c l e e m i s s i o n fi l t e r
(Diesel).
If this is displayed, linked with
the service warning light, it in-
dicates the start of saturation of the
p a r t i c l e e m i s s i o n fi l t e r o r a l o w d i e s e l
additive reservoir level.
A s s o o n a s t r a f fi c c o n d i t i o n s p e r m i t , r e -
g e n e r a t e t h e fi l t e r b y d r i v i n g a t a s p e e d
of at least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the
service warning light is switched off.
If the service warning light is still dis-
played, the additive level is low. Have it
topped up by a PEUGEOT dealer with-
out delay.
D e fl a t e d w h e e l .
If this is displayed, it indicates
a n i n s u f fi c i e n t p r e s s u r e i n o n e
or more wheels.
Check the pressure of the tyres as soon
as possible. Punctured wheel.
If this is displayed, it indicates
that one or more wheels are
punctured. Stop the vehicle
immediately and as safely as possible.
Change the damaged wheel and have it
repaired by a PEUGEOT dealer.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n
detection.
If this is displayed, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault on one
o f t h e s e n s o r s o r i n t h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a -
tion detection system.
It may also indicate the absence of a
sensor when the spare wheel, which
d o e s n o t h a v e a s e n s o r , i s fi t t e d i n p l a c e
of a punctured wheel.
Automatic switching on of
the lights.
If this comes on, it indicates the
occurrence of a fault in the auto-
matic switching on of the lights.
Use the other positions of the lights
stalk.
Visual and/or audible
parking assistance.
If this comes on, in forward and/
or reverse gear, it indicates a
fault in the parking assistance
system.
Automatic gearbox.
If this is displayed, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in the
automatic gearbox. The gear-
box will then operate in down-grade
mode, locked on 3rd gear.
It may also be displayed if a door is
opened.
Invalid value.
If this is displayed, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in the
programme of the automatic
gearbox.
Position P or N.
If this is displayed, it indicates
that the gear lever must be
placed in position
P or N in
order to start the engine.

SAFETY
TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
System which automatically checks the
pressure of the tyres while driving. All repairs and changing of tyres on
a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s s y s t e m m u s t
be carried out by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you in-
stall a wheel which is not detected
b y y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : fi t t i n g
of snow tyres), you must have the
system reinitialised by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
This system does not eliminate
the need to have the tyre pres-
sure checked regularly (refer to the
" I d e n t i fi c a t i o n f e a t u r e s " p a r a g r a p h )
to ensure that the optimum dynamic
performance of the vehicle is main-
tained and prevent premature wear
of the tyres, particularly in arduous
driving conditions (heavy load, high
speed).
The tyre pressures must be
checked cold, at least once a
month. Remember to check the
pressure of the spare wheel.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system may experience temporary
interference due to radioelectric
emissions on a frequency close to
that used by the system.
S e n s o r s fi t t e d i n e a c h v a l v e t r i g g e r a
warning in the event of malfunction
(speed above 12 mph (20 km/h)).
This warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel and/or a message
appears on the multifunction display,
accompanied by an audible signal,
to locate the wheel concerned.
Check the tyre pressures as soon
as possible.
This check must be carried out when
the tyres are cold.
Flat tyre
The
STOP warning light comes on
and/or this warning light is displayed
on the instrument panel, accom-
panied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction dis-
play locating the wheel concerned.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud- den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc- t u r e d o r v e r y d e fl a t e d t y r e ) , a n d
have the tyre pressure checked as
soon as possible.
Puncture
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system is an aid to driving which does
not replace the need for the driver to
be vigilant or to drive responsibly. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
This warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel and/or a message
appears on the multifunction display,
accompanied by an audible signal,
to locate the wheel or wheels which are not
detected or to indicate a fault in the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).
This message is also displayed
when one of the wheels is away
from the vehicle (being repaired) or
when one or more wheels without a
s e n s o r a r e fi t t e d .

Fixing the steel spare wheel

washers do not come into contact

Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .

few turns then put it in place in the

Tighten fully until the central bolt

each of the bolts using the tool 3 .
F i t t h e a n t i - t h e f t s o c k e t 5 on the
wheelbrace 1 t o u n l o c k t h e a n t i - t h e f t
b o l t .
Unlock the other bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 o n l y .
P l a c e t h e j a c k 2 in contact with one
of the two front A or rear B locations
p r o v i d e d o n t h e u n d e r f r a m e , w h i c h -
e v e r i s c l o s e s t t o t h e w h e e l t o b e
c h a n g e d .
E x t e n d t h e j a c k 2 until its base plate
i s i n c o n t a c t w i t h t h e g r o u n d . E n s u r e

After changing a wheel
To store the punctured wheel in the b o o t c o r r e c t l y , fi r s t r e m o v e t h e c e n - t r a l c o v e r .
H a v e t h e t i g h t e n i n g o f t h e b o l t s a n d the pressure of the spare wheel checked by a PEUGEOT dealer w i t h o u t d e l a y .
H a v e t h e p u n c t u r e d w h e e l r e p a i r e d without delay and replace it on the v e h i c l e a s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e .
When the spare wheel is different f r o m t h e o t h e r w h e e l s , w e s t r o n g l y r e c o m m e n d t h a t y o u r d r i v e w i t h p a r t i c u l a r c a r e .
