COMFORT
A d j u s t m e n t
Adjust the mirror so that the glass is d i r e c t e d c o r r e c t l y i n t h e " d a y " p o s i t i o n .
As a safety precaution, the mirrors must be adjusted to reduce the " b l i n d s p o t " .

Push the lever to change to the normal " d a y " p o s i t i o n .
Automatic tilting in reverse gear
System which provides a view of the
ground during parking manoeuvres in
reverse gear.
S w i t c h i n g o n
With the engine running, engage
reverse gear.
Move control A to the right or to the left
to select the corresponding mirror.
The glass of the mirror selected tilts
downwards, in accordance with its
programming.
Programming
With the engine running, engage
reverse gear.
Select and adjust the left-hand and
right-hand mirrors in succession.
The adjustment is stored immediately. S w i t c h i n g o f f
Exit reverse gear and wait ten seconds.

The mirror glass returns to its initial
position.
The mirror glass also returns to its initial
position:
- if the speed exceeds 6 mph (10 km/h),

cle in a car park. Electronic engine immobiliser
The key contains an electronic chip
which has a special code. When the
ignition is switched on, this code must
be recognised in order for starting to be
possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks
the engine management system a few
minutes after the ignition is switched off
and prevents starting of the engine by
anyone who does not have the key.

you are informed by lighting of
this warning lamp, an audible
signal and a message on the
multifunction screen.
In this case, your vehicle does not start;

Starting the vehicle
Insert the key in the ignition switch.
The system recognises the starting code.
Turn the key fully towards the fascia
to position 3 (Starting) .
When the engine starts, release the
key.
Switching the vehicle off
Immobilise the vehicle.
Turn the key fully towards you to
position 1 (Stop) .
Remove the key from the ignition
switch. Remote control problem
Following disconnection of the vehicle
battery, replacement of the remote control
battery or in the event of a remote control
malfunction, you can no longer unlock,
lock or locate your vehicle.
First of all, use the key in the lock to
unlock or lock your vehicle.
Then, reinitialise the remote control.
If the problem persists, contact a
PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible. Changing the battery
Battery ref.: CR1620/3 volts.
Reinitialisation
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition) .
Press the closed padlock immediately
for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove
the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational
again.
Unclip the casing using a coin at the
notch.

Slide the new battery into its location
observing the original direction.
Clip the casing.
Reinitialise the remote control.
This replacement battery is available
from PEUGEOT dealers.

informed by lighting of this warning
light, an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction
display.
Key left in the "Ignition"
position
If the key has been left in the
ignition switch, the ignition will be
switched off automatically after
one hour.
To switch the ignition back on, turn
the key to position
1 (Stop) , then
back to position 2 (Ignition) .

After unlocking the vehicle com-
pletely using the remote control or
the key, take hold of the door handle
then pull it.
The window lowers automatically by a few millimetres to permit opening
of the door. From inside

operate when the vehicle is dead-
locked. Closing
The window rises automatically after
a few seconds and adjusts to provide
perfect sealing when closed.

higher than 6 mph (10 km/h)), this
warning light comes on, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction display for a few
seconds.
If you leave the door open for more
than one minute, the window rises
again.
Pull the handle again to reactivate
the system.
Opening
From outside
When the selective unlocking is acti- v a t e d , t h e fi r s t p r e s s o f t h e r e m o t e
control unlocking button permits
unlocking of the driver's door only.
With the selective unlocking activated:
- the driver's door control unlocks
the driver's door only.
- the passenger's door control unlocks the passenger's door
and the boot. When washing your vehicle:
- fi r s t l o c k t h e v e h i c l e u s i n g t h e
remote control or the key,
- avoid spraying the upper part of the windows,
- keep the end of the high pres- sure nozzle at least 1 metre from
the windows and door seals.
When a door is not closed correctly:

Unlocking and partially opening
the boot
BOOT Boot anti-theft protection
The boot is designed to remain impregna-
b l e , e v e n i n t h e " c a b r i o l e t " c o n fi g u r a t i o n , i f
the vehicle is locked.
So, when the vehicle is locked and
the roof is open, the boot cannot be
unlocked:
- by means of the interior door opening control,
- by pressing the manual centralised control A , when the key is not in the
ignition switch.
Opening
After unlocking the boot or the vehi-
cle using the remote control or the
key, press the opening control while
raising the tailgate.
When the selective unlocking is acti-
vated, the boot can be opened at the
second press of the unlocking button
on the remote control.
Press this button for more
than two seconds to un-
lock the boot. The boot
opens slightly.
This action also unlocks the doors.
If a battery failure occurs, the boot
is locked. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer. Closing
Lower the tailgate using the interior
grab handle.
If the tailgate is not closed correctly: -
when the engine is running ,
this warning light comes on,
accompanied by a message
on the multifunction display
for a few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
above 6 mph (10 km/h)), this warning
light comes on, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message on
the multifunction display for a few
seconds.

The key cannot be removed from
the lock until the cap is put back on
the tank.
FUEL TANK
Capacity of the tank: approximately
60 litres.
T o fi l l t h e t a n k s a f e l y :
it is essential that the engine is
switched off,
o p e n t h e f u e l fi l l e r fl a p ,
insert the key in the cap, then turn it
to the left,
W h e n fi l l i n g i s c o m p l e t e :
put the cap back in place,
turn the key to the right, then remove
it from the cap,
c l o s e t h e fl a p .
remove the cap and secure it on the
hook, located on the inside of the
fl a p ,
fi l l t h e t a n k , b u t do not continue
after the 3rd cut-off of the nozzle ;
this could cause malfunctions.
Low fuel level
Filling
A l a b e l a f fi x e d t o t h e i n s i d e o f t h e fl a p
reminds you of the type of fuel to be
used according to your engine.
Operating fault
A fuel gauge malfunction is indicated by
the return of the fuel level indicator nee-
dle to zero.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. When the fuel tank minimum
level is reached, this warning
light comes on on the instru-
ment panel, accompanied by
an audible signal and a message on the
multifunction display.
You have enough fuel left to drive
approximately 30 miles (50 km).
If you run out of fuel, refer to the
"Checks - § Running out of fuel" section
also.

VISIBILITY
Special position of
the windscreen wipers
In the minute following switching off
of the ignition, any action on the stalk
positions the wipers in the centre of the
windscreen.
This action enables you to position the
wiper blades for winter parking, cleaning
or replacement.
To park the wipers after this has been
done, switch on the ignition and operate
the stalk. For optimum and lasting wiping of
t h e " fl a t - b l a d e " w i p e r b l a d e s , i t i s
advisable to:
- handle them with care,
- clean them regularly using soapy water,
- change them approximately every 6 months,
- avoid using them to retain card- board on the windscreen. COURTESY LIGHTS

Front and rear courtesy lights
In this position, the courtesy
light comes on gradually: In permanent lighting mode, different
lighting times are available:
- with the ignition off, approxi-
mately ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, approximately thirty seconds,
-
with the engine running, unlimited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the ignition,
-
when the remote control locking button is
activated, in order to locate your vehicle.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting.
Map reading lights
With the ignition on, press the corres-
ponding switch.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
