VISIBILITY
AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF THE DIRECTIONAL HEADLAMPS
Do not touch the xenon headlamps. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
In order to avoid causing a nuisance to
other road users, this system corrects
the height of the xenon headlamps beam
automatically and when stationary, in
relation to the load in the vehicle.
If a malfunction occurs, this
warning light and/or the service
warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel, accompanied
by an audible signal and a message on
the multifunction display.
The system then places your head-
lamps in the lowest position.
DIRECTIONAL LIGHTING
When the dipped or main beam head-
lamps are on, this function enables the
light beam to follow the direction of the
road.
The use of this function, coupled with
the xenon headlamps only, considerably
i m p r o v e s t h e q u a l i t y o f y o u r l i g h t i n g
when cornering.

Activation
This is controlled manually by the driver by
pushing stalk A to the "AUTO" position.
It is accompanied by a message on the
multifunction screen.
Do not cover the rain sensor, linked
with the brightness sensor and
located in the centre of the wind-
screen behind the interior mirror.
Switch off the automatic wiping when
using an automatic car wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until
the windscreen is completely clear
of ice before activating the auto-
matic wiping. The automatic wiping must be reac-
tivated if the ignition has been off for
more than one minute, by pushing
stalk
A downwards.
Switching off
This is controlled manually by the driver
by moving stalk A upwards and returning
it to position "0" .
It is accompanied by a message on the
multifunction screen. Operating fault
If an automatic wiping malfunction occurs,
the wipers will operate in intermittent
mode.

TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
System which automatically checks the
pressure of the tyres while driving. All repairs and changing of tyres on
a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s s y s t e m m u s t
be carried out by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you in-
stall a wheel which is not detected
b y y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : fi t t i n g
of snow tyres), you must have the
system reinitialised by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
This system does not eliminate
the need to have the tyre pres-
sure checked regularly (refer to the
" I d e n t i fi c a t i o n f e a t u r e s " p a r a g r a p h )
to ensure that the optimum dynamic
performance of the vehicle is main-
tained and prevent premature wear
of the tyres, particularly in arduous
driving conditions (heavy load, high
speed).
The tyre pressures must be
checked cold, at least once a
month. Remember to check the
pressure of the spare wheel.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system may experience temporary
interference due to radioelectric
emissions on a frequency close to
that used by the system.
S e n s o r s fi t t e d i n e a c h v a l v e t r i g g e r a
warning in the event of malfunction
(speed above 12 mph (20 km/h)).
This warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel and/or a message
appears on the multifunction display,
accompanied by an audible signal,
to locate the wheel concerned.
Check the tyre pressures as soon
as possible.
This check must be carried out when
the tyres are cold.
Flat tyre
The
STOP warning light comes on
and/or this warning light is displayed
on the instrument panel, accom-
panied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction dis-
play locating the wheel concerned.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud- den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc- t u r e d o r v e r y d e fl a t e d t y r e ) , a n d
have the tyre pressure checked as
soon as possible.
Puncture
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system is an aid to driving which does
not replace the need for the driver to
be vigilant or to drive responsibly. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
This warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel and/or a message
appears on the multifunction display,
accompanied by an audible signal,
to locate the wheel or wheels which are not
detected or to indicate a fault in the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).
This message is also displayed
when one of the wheels is away
from the vehicle (being repaired) or
when one or more wheels without a
s e n s o r a r e fi t t e d .

ROLL-OVER BARS
System which protects all of the oc-
cupants restrained by their seat belt
should the vehicle roll over.
The roll-over bars are incorporated in
the back of the rear bench seat. Their
presence is indicated by the words
"Rollover Protection".
Activation
They are triggered simultaneously
should the vehicle roll over.
Operating fault If this warning light comes on on
the instrument panel, accompa-
nied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction dis-
play, contact a PEUGEOT dealer
to have the system checked. In order to guarantee the correct
operation and the deployment of
the roll-over bars if roll-over is de-
tected, the following conditions
must be complied with:
- no accessory which is not
recommended by PEUGEOT
should be in contact with or
fi x e d t o t h e r o l l - o v e r b a r s ,
- no object should block or stop the movement of the roll-over bars,
- the area above the roll-over bars should be clear of any objects.

SEAT BELTS
Front seat belts
T h e f r o n t s e a t b e l t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h a p r e -
tensioning and force limiting system.
This system improves safety in the front
seats in the event of a front impact.
Depending on the severity of the im-
pact, the pretensioning system instantly
tightens the seat belts against the body
of the occupants.
The pretensioning seat belts are active
when the ignition is on.
The force limiter reduces the pressure
of the seat belt on the chest of the occu-
pant, so increasing his protection. Seat belt not fastened/unfastened
warning light
Fastening
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue
in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened correctly by pulling the strap.
When the ignition is switched
on, this warning light comes on,
either on the instrument panel or
on the seat belt and passenger's
front air bag warning lights dis-
play, if the driver and/or the front passen-
ger has not fastened his seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
Guide the seat belt as it rolls up.
1. Front and/or rear seat belts not
fastened/unfastened warning light.
2. Front left seat belt warning light.
3. Front right seat belt warning light.
4. Rear right seat belt warning light.
5. Rear left seat belt warning light.
Seat belt not fastened/unfastened
warning lights display
The corresponding warning light

comes on in red on the seat belt and
passenger's front air bag warning lights
display if the seat belt is not fastened or
is unfastened.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h)

creasing volume. Once these two minutes
have elapsed, this warning light remains
on until the driver and/or the front pas-
senger fastens his seat belt.

Rear seat belts

three-point inertia reel seat belt with
force limiter.
Seat belt unfastened warning light This warning light comes on,
either on the instrument panel
or on the seat belt and passen-
ger's front air bag warning lights
display, when one or more rear passen-
gers unfasten their seat belt.
From approximately 12 mph (20 km/h),
t h i s w a r n i n g l i g h t fl a s h e s f o r t w o m i n -
utes accompanied by an audible signal
of increasing volume. Once these two
minutes have elapsed, this warning
light remains on until the one or more
rear passengers fasten their seat belt.
Fastening
Remove the strap from the guide

before use.
Pull the strap, then insert the tongue in the buckle.
Check that the seat belt is fastened correctly by pulling the strap. Seat belt unfastened warning lights

When the ignition is switched on, with
the engine running or the vehicle mov-
ing at a speed below approximately
12 mph (20 km/h), the corresponding
warning lights
4 and 5 come on in red
for approximately 30 seconds, if the
seat belt is not fastened.
When the vehicle is moving at a speed
of more than approximately 12 mph
(20 km/h), the corresponding warning
light 4 or 5 comes on in red, accompa-
nied by an audible signal and a message
on the multifunction display, if a rear pas-
senger has unfastened his seat belt.
Unfastening
Press the red button on the buckle.
