Warning lampis onCauseAction/Observations
Front
foglamps fi x e d . The front foglamps are
switched on. Turn the ring on the stalk rearwards twice to
switch off the front foglamps.
Rear
foglamps fi x e d . The rear foglamps are
switched on. Turn the ring on the stalk rearwards to switch off
the rear foglamps.
Diesel engine
pre-heating fi x e d . The ignition switch is at the
2 nd position (ignition on). Wait until the warning lamp has switched off befor
e starting.
The duration for which the warning lamp is on is
determined by the climatic conditions.
Parking brake fi x e d . The parking brake is
applied or not properly
released. Release the parking brake to switch off the
warning lamp, keeping your foot on the brake
pedal.
Observe the safety recommendations.

VENTILATION
System which creates and maintains
comfortable conditions and good visibility
in the vehicle's passenger compartment. Air treatment
The incoming air follows various routes
depending on the controls selected by
the driver:
- direct arrival in the passenger com-
partment (air intake),
- passage through a heating circuit (heating),
- passage through a cooling circuit (air conditioning). The temperature control enables you to
obtain the level of comfort required by
mixing the air of the various circuits.
The air distribution control enables you
to diffuse the air in the passenger com-
partment combining several air vents.

crease or reduce the speed of the ven-
tilation blower.
Air intake
The air circulating in the passenger com-
p a r t m e n t i s fi l t e r e d a n d o r i g i n a t e s e i t h e r
from the outside via the grille located at
the base of the windscreen or from the
inside in air recirculation mode. Control panel
The controls of this system are grouped
together on control panel
A on the centre
console. Depending on the model, the
functions offered are:
- the level of comfort required,
- t h e a i r fl o w ,
- the air distribution,
- the de-icing and demisting,
- the manual or automatic air condi- tioning controls.
Air diffusion
1. Windscreen de-icing or demisting
vents.
2. Front side window de-icing or de-
misting vents.
3. Side adjustable and closing vents.
4. Central adjustable and closing
vents.
5. Air outlets to the front footwells.
6. Air outlets to the rear footwells.

5. Air conditioning On/Off
The air conditioning is de-signed to operate effectively in all seasons, with the windows closed.
The control button is located on the heating or air conditioning system control panel.
REAR SCREEN DE-ICING
If the engine is switched off before
the de-icing is switched off auto-
matically, de-icing will resume next
time the engine is switched on.
Switching on
The rear screen de-icing can only oper-ate when the engine is running.
Press this button to de-ice the rear screen and the exterior mirrors. The indicator light associated with the button comes on.
Switching off
The de-icing switches off automatically
to prevent an excessive consumption of
current.
It is possible to stop the de-icing
operation before it is switched off
automatically by pressing the button
again. The indicator light associated
with the button switches off.
It enables you to:
- lower the temperature, in summer,
- increase the effectiveness of the demisting, in winter above 0 °C.
Switching on
Press the "A/C" button, the associated
indicator light comes on.
The air conditioning does not operate w h e n t h e a i r fl o w a d j u s t m e n t d i a l 2 i s in position "0".
Switching off
Press the "A/C" button again, the associated indicator light switches off.

To exit this programme, press the "visibility" button again or the "AUTO"button, the indicator light on the button switches off and "AUTO" is displayed.

Press the "small fan" button t o r e d u c e t h e a i r fl o w.
8. Air intake/Air recirculation Deactivation of the system
Press the "small fan" button until
the fan symbol disappears.
This action deactivates all of the func-
tions of the air conditioning system.
The temperature is no longer main-
tained at a comfortable level. However,
a s l i g h t fl o w o f a i r , d u e t o t h e m o v e m e n t
of the vehicle, can still be felt.
Press the "large fan" button again
or the "AUTO" button to reactivate
the system with the values which
were set before it was deactivated.
Press this button to recircu-late the interior air. The air recirculation symbol is dis-played.
5. Air conditioning On/Off
- the windscreen, the side windows and the footwells,
- the windscreen and side windows (demisting or de-icing),
- the central and side vents,
- the central vents, the side vents and the footwells,
- the footwells.
Press the "large fan" button t o i n c r e a s e t h e a i r fl o w .
T h e a i r fl o w s y m b o l , t h e f a n , i s fi l l e d i n progressively in relation to the value required.
Air recirculation prevents exterior odours and smoke from entering the passenger
compartment.
As soon as possible, press this button
again to permit the intake of exterior
air and prevent condensation.
For maximum cooling or heating of
the passenger compartment, you
can exceed the minimum value of
14 or the maximum value of 28 .
Resuming manual control
Depending on your requirements, you
can make a different selection from that
offered by the system by changing a
setting. The other functions will still be
controlled automatically.
Press the "AUTO" button to return
to fully automatic operation.
Switching the system off may result in
discomfort (humidity, condensation).
Press the button again to return to auto-matic operation of the air conditioning. The symbol "A/C" is displayed.

REAR SEATS
Bench seat the left-hand part (2/3) or right-hand part (1/3) of which can be folded to adapt the load space in the boot.
Never drive with the head restraints
removed; they must be in place and
correctly adjusted.
Rear head restraints
These have a high position (comfort)
and a low position (rear visibility).
The command for activation of
heating of the seat(s) remains
memorised for two minutes after
the ignition has been switched off.
7. Heated seats switch
With the engine running, the front seats
can be heated separately.
Use the adjustment dial, placed on
the side of each front seat, to switch
on and select the level of heating re-
quired:
0
: Off.
1
: Low.
2
: Medium.
3
: High.
They can also be removed; to remove them:
pull the head restraint upwards to
the stop,
then, press the lug.
6. Armrests (except 3 door)
These can be folded down and are re-
movable.
To remove them, press the button
located between the armrest and
the side of the seat and pull it.
