Lift the control and slide the seat for-
wards or backwards.
2 - H e i g h t a d j u s t m e n t
Pull the handle upwards.
Remove your weight from the seat to
raise, or press on the seat to lower.
3 - A c c e s s t o t h e r e a r s e a t s
(3-door), A or B according to model
A. P l a c e y o u r fi n g e r s i n o n e o f t h e t w o
handles and push forwards to fold
down the seat back and move the
seat forwards.
When put back, the seat returns to its initial position.
No person or object must prevent the seat from returning to its initial
position. Returning to this position is
necessary for the seat to lock. 4 - Seat back angle adjustment
Push the handle towards the rear.
5 - H e a d r e s t r a i n t h e i g h t a d j u s t m e n t
To raise the head restraint, pull it up-
wards.

T h e h e a d r e s t r a i n t i s fi t t e d w i t h a f r a m e
with notches, which prevent the head
restraint dropping down (this is a safety
device in case of impact).
FRONT SEATS
Seat consisting of a seat cushion, seat
back and head restraint which can all
be adjusted to your optimum driving
and comfort position.
Never drive with the head re-
straints removed; they should be
in place and correctly adjusted.
It is impossible to access the rear
seats if the front seat is in a reclin-
ing position.
Heated seats
Press the switch, located on the con-
trol bar next to the steering wheel. The
temperature is regulated automatically.
Press again to switch off.
R e a r h e a d r e s t r a i n t
These have a position for use (high)
and a position for storage (low).
To lower the head restraints, press the
lug.
They can also be removed.
To remove the head restraints, pull up-
wards as far as the stop then press the
release control.
To lower the head restraint, push simul-
taneously:
- the button on the left-hand guide at
the base of the head restraint frame,
- the head restraint downwards.
To remove the head restraint, press the lug.
B. P l a c e y o u r fi n g e r s i n o n e o f t h e t w o
handles and push forwards to fold
down the seat back. The seat does
not move forwards.
When put back, the seat back re- turns to its initial angle.

REAR SEATS
- position the seat belt under the belt holder 2 ,
- pull control 3 to unlock the seat
back 4 ,
- remove or lower the head restraint,
- tilt the seat back 4 . When repositioning:
- return the seat back to the upright
position,
- fold back the seat cushion,
- reposition the seat belt buckles before locking the front of the seat
cushion.
- check that the seats are locked cor- rectly.
Control 3 must be in the low position.
Rear seat or bench seat which can be
folded to adapt the load space in the
boot.
To fold the rear seats:
- lift the front of the seat cushion
1 ,
- tilt the seat cushion 1 against the
front seats,

BENCH SEAT

- Tilt the seat cushion against the front seats.
- Squeeze the seat fasteners to release them from their attachments.
- Remove the seat cushion. - Remove the head restraint for com-
plete folding of the seat back.
- Push one of the two handles 5 to-
wards the rear to tilt the seat back.
Front seat:
- Fold the seat back towards the front using the control 5 (see correspond-
ing paragraph).
Rear seat:
- Remove the seat cushion.
- Tilt the seat back.

To remove the shelf:
- unhook the two strings 1 ,
- slightly raise the shelf, then remove it. Luggage retaining net
U s e t h e s t o w i n g r i n g s o n t h e b o o t fl o o r
and on the back of the rear bench seat
to secure the luggage retaining net.
There are several options for storing the
shelf:
- either behind the front seats,
- or behind the rear bench seat using
the luggage retaining net,
- o r fl a t i n t h e b o o t .
Warning triangle
Depending on the country of sale, a
warning triangle may be stored in the
boot.

air bag systems checked.
All work on the air bag system is strict-

network.
Even if all of the precautions men-
t i o n e d a r e o b s e r v e d , a r i s k o f i n j u r y
or of minor burns to the head, chest
or arms when an air bag is triggered
cannot be ruled out. In fact, the bag
i n fl a t e s a l m o s t i n s t a n t l y ( w i t h i n a
f e w m i l l i s e c o n d s ) t h e n d e fl a t e s w i t h i n
the same time discharging the hot
gas via openings provided for this
purpose. Front air bags
Do not drive holding the steering wheel by its spokes or resti
ng your hands on
the centre part of the wheel.
Passengers must not place their feet on the fascia.
Smoke as little as possible as deployment of the air bags can ca use burns or
t h e r i s k o f i n j u r y f r o m a c i g a r e t t e o r p i p e .
Never remove or pierce the steering wheel or hit it violently.
Side air bags
Only put approved covers on the seats. These will not hinder the triggering of
the side air bags. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
