If a door is not fully closed, a buzzer sounds continuously for 10 seconds if an
attempt to lock the door is made. Fully close the door to stop the buzzer, and lock
the vehicle once more.

Locking the front doors from the outside without a keyMove the lock button to the lock position.
Close the door.
The door cannot be locked if the “E NGINE START STOP” switch is in the
ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode , or the electronic key is left
inside the vehicle.
The key may not be detected correctly and the door may be locked.
Rear door child-protector lock
The door cannot be opened from

The door cannot be locked if the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is in ACCES-
SORY or IGNITION ON mode, or the electronic key is left in the vehicle. (How-
ever, depending on the key’s location, the system may not be able to detect it. In
these instances the door lock protection function will not operate properly.)

When you lower the trunk lid to about half way closed, the automatic trunk closer
will close the trunk for you.

The trunk lid can be opened by pulling down
on the glow-in-the-dark lever located on the
inside of the trunk lid.
The lever will continue to glow for some time
after the trunk lid is closed.

Open one of the doors.
If a door is not opened within 60 seconds after is pushed,
the doors will be locked again and the alarm will automatically be set.
In case that the alarm is triggered, immediately stop the alarm.

Using the door lock switch
Carry only the key (including the card key) to which you want to link
the driving position. If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving
position cannot be linked properly.
Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch to OFF mode and close
the driver’s door. While pushing the desired button
(“1”, “2” or “3”), push the lock or
unlock side on the door lock
switch (either the driver or passen-
ger side) until the signal beeps.
The driving position is recalled
when the driver’s door is unlocked
using the entry function or wireless
remote control and the driver’s
door is opened.

The power windows can be operated for ap proximately 45 seconds even after the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is switched to ACCESSORY mode or turned
OFF. They cannot, however, be operated once the driver’s or front passenger’s door
is opened.
■Jam protection function
If an object becomes caught between th e window and the window frame, window
travel is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
