pressed.
If all doors are closed, the hazard warn-
ing lights blink once to indicate that all
doors are locked. However, if any door
remains open, the hazard warning lights
will not blink. If all doors are closed after
the lock button is pressed, the hazard
warning lights blink.

button is pressed once.
The hazard warning lights will blink twice
to indicate that the driver's door is
unlocked.
All doors are unlocked if the unlock but-
ton is pressed twice within 3 seconds.

unlocked.
After depressing this button, the doors
will be locked automatically unless you
open any door within 30 seconds.

After depressing this button, the tailgate
will be locked automatically unless you

Also, once the tailgate is opened and
then closed, the tailgate will be locked

lights flash for about 30 seconds if this
button is pressed for more than 0.5 sec-
ond. To stop the horn and lights, press

side the vehicle Turn the key toward the rear of thevehicle to unlock and toward the front
of the vehicle to lock.
If you lock the door with a key, all vehi- cle doors will lock automatically. (if
equipped)
From the driver’s door, turn the key to the right once to unlock the driver’s
door and once more within 4 seconds
to unlock all doors.
From the passenger’s door, turn the key to the left once to unlock the pas-
senger’s door and once more within 4
seconds to unlock all doors. Doors can also be locked and
unlocked with the transmitter key (if
equipped).
Once the doors are unlocked, they may be opened by pulling the door handle.
When closing the door, push the door by hand. Make sure that doors are
closed securely.
❈If your vehicle is equipped with the
remote keyless entry system, there is
no key lock on the front passenger's
door.✽ ✽ NOTICE• In cold and wet climates, door lock
and door mechanisms may not work
properly due to freezing conditions.
• If the door is locked/unlocked multi- ple times in rapid succession with
either the vehicle key or door lock
switch, the system may stop operating
temporarily in order to protect the
circuit and prevent damage to system
components.
To lock a door without the key, push the
inside door lock button (1) or central
door lock switch (2 ) to the “Lock” posi-
tion and close the door (3).
If you lock the door with the central door lock switch, all vehicle doors will
lock automatically.✽ ✽ NOTICEAlways remove the ignition key, engage
the parking brake, close all windows
and lock all doors when leaving your
vehicle unattended.

Your vehicle is equipped with both left-
hand and right-hand outside rearview
mirrors. The mirrors can be adjusted
remotely with the remote switch. The mir-
ror heads can be folded back to prevent
damage during an automatic car wash or
when passing in a narrow street.

allows you to adjust the position of the
left and right outside rearview mirrors. To
adjust the position of either mirror, move
the lever (1) to R or L to select the right
side mirror or the left side mirror, then
press a corresponding point on the mirror
adjustment control to position the select-
ed mirror up, down, left or right.
After adjustment, put the lever into neu-
tral (center) position to prevent the inad-
vertent adjustment.
WARNING -
Rearview mir-
rors
The right outside rearview mirror
is convex. Objects seen in the
mirror are closer than they
appear.
Use your interior rearview mirror or direct observation to deter-
mine the actual distance of fol-
lowing vehicles when changing
lanes.
CAUTION
Do not scrape ice off the mirrorface; this may damage the surfaceof the glass. If ice should restrictmovement of the mirror, do notforce the mirror for adjustment. To remove ice, use a deicer spray, or asponge or soft cloth with very warmwater.
CAUTION
If the mirror is jammed with ice, do not adjust the mirror by force. Usean approved spray de-icer (not radi- ator antifreeze) to release thefrozen mechanism or move thevehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.
WARNING
Do not adjust or fold the outside
rearview mirrors while the vehicle
is moving. This could result in loss
of control, and an accident which
could cause death, serious injury
or property damage.
