The windows will operate f or up to
10 minutes af ter you turn of f the
ignition switch. Opening either f ront
door cancels this f unction.
To open/close the driver’s
window, push the window switch
f irmly down or up to the second
detent, and release it. The window
will automatically go up or down all
the way. To stop the window, pull/
push on the window switch brief ly.
If the MAIN switch is OFF, the
passenger windows cannot be raised
or lowered. Keep the MAIN switch
off whenyouhavechildreninthe
vehicle so they do not injure
themselves by operating the
windows unintentionally.
If the driver’s
window senses any obstacle while it
is closing automatically, it will
reverse direction, and then stop. To
close the window, remove the
obstacle, then use the window switch
again.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position to raise or lower any
window. To open the window, push
the switch down to the f irst detent
andholdit.Releasetheswitchwhen
you want the window to stop. Pull
back on the switch and hold it to
close the window.
Auto reverse stops sensing when the
window is almost closed. You should
always check that all passengers and
objects are away from the window
bef ore closing it.
Only on the driver’s window,
the auto reverse f unction is disabled
when you continuously pull up the
switch.

Be sure to adjust the mirrors bef ore
you start driving.
The inside mirror has day and night
positions. The night position reduces
glare f rom headlights behind you.
Flip the tab on the bottom edge of
the mirror to select the day or night
position.When you shif t to reverse with the
ignition switch in the ON (II)
position, the rear view is shown on
the lef t side of the inside mirror. For
more information, see page .
The inside mirror can automatically
darken to reduce glare. To turn on
this feature, press the button on the
bottom of the mirror. The AUTO
indicator comes on as a reminder.
When it is on, the mirror darkens
when it senses the headlights of a
vehicle behind you, then returns to
normal visibility when the lights are
gone. Press the button again to turn
of f this f eature. 366

The sunshades are intended f or use
only when the windows are f ully
closed. If a window is opened, the
shade can be blown of f its hooks. As
the shade automatically retracts, it
could hit and hurt anyone sitting too
close to the window.To open the sunglasses holder, push
then release the raised detent. It will
unlatch and swing down. To close it,
push it until it latches. Make sure the
holder is closed while you are driving.
Each rear sliding door has an
integrated sunshade. To use a
sunshade,holdthetabonthetop
and pull the sunshade all the way up.
Insert the holes on the sunshade into
the hooks on the window f rame. To
store the shade, unhook it, and let it
retract all the way down.

power outlet is 115 volt AC at 100
watts or less. If you use an appliance
which requires more than 100 watts,
it automatically stops supplying the
power. If this happens, turn the
ignition switch of f and turn it on
again.The AC power outlet is not
designed f or electric appliances
which require high initial peak
wattage such as cathode-ray tube
type televisions, ref rigerators,
electric pumps, etc. It is also not
suitable f or devices that process
precise data such as medical
equipment or measuring instruments.
Any appliances that require an
extremely stable power supply such
as microcomputer-controlled electric
blankets, touch sensor lamps, etc.,
should not be connected to this
outlet.

When you switch to f rom, the A/C stays on, and you
canturnitonandoff manually.
When you switch to another mode,
the A/C returns to its original setting,
either on or of f , as displayed by the
A/C indicator.
The system automatically
turns on the A/C and switches to
recirculation mode. Air f lows f rom
the center and side vents in the
dashboard. In this mode, you cannot
turn of f the A/C and also cannot
switch to f resh air mode.
The passenger’s temperature cannot
be set separately f rom the driver’s.
When you select , the system
automatically switches to f resh air
mode and turns on the A/C. Air f lows f rom the def roster
vents at the base of the windshield. Airf low is divided between
the f loor vents and def roster vents at
the base of the windshield.
The outside air intakes f or the
heating and cooling system are at
the base of the windshield. Keep this
area clear of leaves and other debris.
This button turns the rear window
def ogger on and of f (see page ).
Use the mode control dial or button
to select the vents the air flows from.
Some air will flow from the
dashboard vents in all modes.
Air flows from the center
and corner vents in the dashboard.
Airf low is divided between
the vents in the dashboard and the
f loor vents. Air f lows f rom the f loor
vents. When you select , the
system automatically switches to
f resh air mode.
When you want to change the
temperature of the rear passenger
compartment, press the REAR
button. The indicator in the button
comes on, and you can change the
temperature using the rear
temperature control button. When
you press the REAR LOCK button,
the indicator in the button comes on,
the rear A/C passenger control
panel is disabled, and you cannot
change any settings f rom it.

To remove f og f rom the inside of the
windows:To clear the windows f aster, you can
close the dashboard corner vents by
rotating the wheel next to each vent.
This sends more warm air to the
windshield def roster vents. Once the
windshield is clear, select f resh air
mode to avoid f ogging the windows.
For your saf ety, make sure you have
a clear view through all the windows
bef ore driving.

cool it down more rapidly by partially
opening the windows, turning on the
air conditioning, and setting the f an
to maximum speed in f resh air mode.
Air conditioning, as it cools, removes
moisture from the air. When used in
combination with the heater, it
makes the interior warm and dry.
This setting is suitable f or all driving
conditions whenever the outside
temperature is above 32°F (0°C). Switch the f an on.
Turn on the air conditioning.
Select and fresh air mode.
Adjust the temperature to your
pref erence.
When you switch to another mode
f rom , the A/C turns of f . But
if it was on to start with, it stays on.Set the f an to high.
Select . The system
automatically switches to the fresh
air mode and turns on the A/C.
The indicator in the A/C button
will not come on (LX and Canadian
DX models), or the A/C ON
indicator will not come on (EX,
EX-L, Touring and Touring PAX
models), if the A/C was of f to
start with.
Adjust the temperature so the
airflow feels warm.
Select to help clear the
rear window.
Select . The system
automatically switches to f resh air
mode and turns on the A/C.

If you set the temperature to its
lower or its upper limit, the system
runs at f ull cooling or heating only. It
does not regulate the interior
temperature.
When you press a f an control button,
the fan is taken out of AUTO mode.To keep stale air and mustiness
f rom collecting, you should have
the f an running at all times.
In AUTO mode, the rear passenger
compartment temperature is also
regulated independently.
In AUTO mode, the vehicle’s interior
temperature is independently
regulated f or the driver and
passenger. If the driver’s side of the
vehicle is getting too much sun, the
system will adjust to a lower
temperature.
The automatic climate control
system adjusts the f an speed and
airflow levels to maintain the interior
temperature you select.
Press the Auto button. The
indicator in the button comes on.
Set the desired temperature with
the temperature control button.
You will see AUTO in the system’s
display. You can set the driver’s
side temperature and passenger’s
side temperature and the
temperature of the rear passenger
compartment separately. The
system automatically selects the
proper mix of conditioned and/or
heated air that will, as quickly as
possible, raise or lower the interior
temperature to your pref erence. You can manually select various
f unctions of the climate control
system when it is in f ully automatic
mode. All other f eatures remain
automatically controlled. Making any
manual selection causes the word
AUTO in the display to go out.
Turn the f an speed and temperature
control dials all the way to the lef t,
and turn the rear controller dial to
the OFF position.
Press the OFF button and the REAR
ON/OFF button (indicator is of f ).
