time, there is a problem with the
ABS. If this happens, have your
vehicle checked at a dealer. With
this indicator on, your vehicle still
has normal braking ability but no
anti-lock f unction. For more

This indicator comes on f or several
seconds when you turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position. If it
comes on at any other time, it
indicates a potential problem with
your f ront airbags. This indicator will
also alert you to a potential problem
with your side airbags, passenger’s
side airbag automatic cutoff system,
side curtain airbags, automatic seat
belt tensioners, driver’s seat position
sensor, or the f ront passenger’s
weight sensors. For more

This indicator comes on f or several

Make sure the rear window is clear
and you have good visibility bef ore
starting to drive.
The def ogger and antenna wires on
the inside of the rear window can be
accidentally damaged. When
cleaning the glass, always wipe side-
to-side.
The rear window def ogger will clear
fog, frost, and thin ice from the
window. Push the def ogger button to
turn it on and off. The indicator in
the button comes on to show the
def ogger is on. If you do not turn it
of f , the def ogger will shut itself of f
af ter about 15 minutes. It also shuts
of f when you turn of f the ignition
switch. You have to turn the
def ogger on again when you restart
the vehicle.
Pushthebuttontoturnonthe
hazard warning lights (f our-way
flashers). This causes all four
outside turn signals and both turn
indicators in the instrument panel to
f lash. Use the hazard warning lights
if you need to park in a dangerous
area near heavy traffic, or if your
vehicle is disabled.
Pushing this button also turns the
mirror heaters on or of f . For more

To lock the passenger’s door when
getting out of the vehicle, pull out
the lock tab and close the door. To
lock the driver’s door, remove the
key f rom the ignition switch and pull
out the lock tab or push the top of
the master switch, then close the
door.
The lock tab on the passenger’s door
locks and unlocks only that door.
Pushing in the driver’s door lock tab
only unlocks the driver’s door.
To lock the doors, push the top of
the master door lock switch on
either f ront door, pull out the lock
tabonthedriver’sdoor,orusethe
keyintheoutsidelockonthedriver’s
door. To unlock only the driver’s door
f rom the outside, turn the key and
release it. If you turn it again, all
doors unlock.
With any door open and the key in
the ignition, both master door lock
switches are disabled. They are not
disabled when all the doors are
closed, or when the key is not in the
ignition.
Pushing the bottom of either master
door lock switch unlocks all doors. The childproof door locks are
designed to prevent children seated
in the rear f rom accidentally opening
the rear doors. Each rear door has a
lock lever near the edge. With the
lever in the LOCK position, the door
cannot be opened f rom the inside
regardless of the position of the lock
tab. To open the door, push the lock
tab in, and use the outside door
handle.

If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, or the
radio f use is removed, the audio
system will disable itself . If this
happens, you will see ‘‘ENTER
CODE’’ in the f requency display the
nexttimeyouturnonthesystem.
Use the preset buttons (icons on
vehicles with navigation system) to
enter the code. The code is on the
radio code card included in your
owner’s manual kit. When it is
entered correctly, the radio will start
playing.
If you make a mistake entering the
code, do not start over; complete the
sequence, then enter the correct
code. You have 10 tries to enter the
correct code. If you are unsuccessf ul
in 10 attempts, you must then leave
the system on f or 1 hour bef ore
trying again.
If you lose the card, you must obtain
the code number f rom a dealer. To
do this, you will need the system’s
serial number.
Youshouldhavereceivedacardthat
lists your audio system’s code and
serial numbers. It is best to store this
card in a saf e place at home. In
addition, you should write the audio
system’s serial number in this owner’s
manual.
Your vehicle’s audio system will
disable itself if it is disconnected
f rom electrical power f or any reason.
To make it work again, you must
enter a specif ic 5 digit code using the
preset buttons (icon on vehicle’s with
navigation system). Because there
are hundreds of number
combinations possible f rom specif ic
digits, making the system work
without knowing the exact code is

You can select or change some
settings for the HFL system. Here
are the settings you can select or
change. To do this, make sure your
vehicle is parked safely, with your
phone on and the ignition switch in
the ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II)
position.You can set a f our-digit security
passcode to lock the HFL system
f or security purposes.
If you f orget your passcode, you
cannot activate HFL. Consult your
dealer to cancel the passcode. The incoming notif ication can be
set to a ring tone, a prompt, or no
notif ication. The def ault setting is
aprompt.
