The master key fits all the locks on
your vehicle. The valet key works
only in the ignition and the driver’s
door lock. You can keep the trunk
release handle, rear seat trunk
access, and glove box locked when
you leave your vehicle and the valet
key at a parking f acility.Youshouldhavereceivedakey
number tag with your keys. You will
need this key number if you ever
have to get a lost key replaced. Use
only Honda-approved key blanks.
These keys contain electronic
circuits that are activated by the
immobilizer system. They will not
work to start the engine if the
circuits are damaged.
Protect the keys f rom direct
sunlight, high temperature, and
high humidity.
Donotdropthekeysorsetheavy
objects on them.
Keep the keys away f rom liquids.
If they get wet, dry them
immediately with a sof t cloth.
The valet key does not contain a
battery. Do not try to take it apart.

The childproof door locks are
designed to prevent children seated
in the rear f rom accidentally opening
the rear doors. Each rear door has a
lock lever near the edge. With the
lever in the LOCK position (lever is
down), the door cannot be opened
fromtheinsideregardlessof the
position of the lock tab. To open the
door, push the lock tab f orward and
use the outside door handle. Press this button once to
lock all doors. Some exterior lights
will f lash once. When you push
LOCK twice within 5 seconds, you
will hear a beep to verify that the
doors are locked and the security
system (if equipped) has set. You
cannot lock the doors if any door is
not f ully closed or the key is in the
ignition switch. Pressthisbuttononce
to unlock the driver’s door. Push it
twice to unlock the remaining doors.
Some exterior lights will f lash twice
each time you press the button.
The ceiling light and the door
activated spotlights (if equipped)
come on when you press the
UNLOCK button if the lights are in
the door activated position. If you do
not open any door within 30 seconds,
the light(s) will f ade out. If you
relock the doors with the remote
transmitter before 30 seconds have
elapsed, the light(s) will go of f
immediately.
If you do not open any door within 30
seconds, the doors automatically
relock and the security system (if
equipped) sets.

To protect items in the trunk when
you need to give the key to someone
else:Give the person the valet key.
Lockthetrunkreleaseleverwith
the master key. Also make sure
the trunk pass-through cover is
locked (see page ).
To close the trunk, press down on
the trunk lid.
Youcanopenthetrunkintwoways: Pull up on the trunk release lever
to the lef t of the driver’s seat.
Press and hold the trunk release
button on the remote transmitter. Keep the trunk lid closed at all times
while driving to avoid damaging the
lid, and to prevent exhaust gas f rom
getting into the interior. See

When storing cargo, you can move
therearcentershoulderbeltoutof
the way by removing the belt f rom
the guide.
The back of the rear seat folds down,
giving you direct access to the trunk.
The seat-back is released f rom inside
the trunk.
Remove any items from the seat
beforeyoufolddowntheseat-back.
Make sure the rear seat armrest is
stored.
To release the seat-back from inside
the trunk, pull the release under the
trunk panel. Push the seat-back
down f rom inside the trunk, or pull
the seat-back down f rom inside the
vehicle.
