FUSESIf your electrical components are not working properly,
a fuse may have blown. For more detailed information,
please refer to your Owner’s Guide.
FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCHThis device stops the electric fuel pump from
sending fuel to the engine when your vehicle has had a
substantial jolt. After an accident, if the engine
cranks but does not start, this switch may have been
activated. The fuel pump shut-off switch is located in
the driver’s footwell.
CHANGING THE TIRESYour vehicle is equipped with either a temporary spare tire
(with jack and tools) or a temporary mobility kit, which is
located under the carpeted floor panel in the trunk. The
temporary mobility kit contains a sealing compound
(seals most punctures caused by nails or similar objects)
and an air compressor to re-inflate the tire. Do not attempt
to use this kit to repair large punctures or damage to the
tire’s sidewall and/or wheel. The mobility kit provides
temporary sealing that will allow you to drive up to 120
miles at a maximum speed of 50 mph. After sealant use,
the Tire Pressure Monitor System sensor and valve stem
on the affected wheel must be replaced by an authorized
Ford dealer.
NOTE The sealant canister repairs only
one tire. See your authorized dealer for replacement
canisters. For complete details on how to change your
tire or how to use the temporary mobility kit, please
refer to the Roadside Emergencies chapter in your
Owner’s Guide.
TIRE PRESSUREYour tire pressure is properly set at the dealership
according to the recommended specifications found on the Safety Compliance Certification Label or Tire
Label located on the edge of the driver’s door. Check
your tire pressure at least once a month and before
long trips (including spare, if equipped). As an added
safety feature, your vehicle has been equipped with a
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) that illuminates a low tire pressure warning light
when one or more of your tires is significantly

under-inflated. WARNING Improperly inflated tires
can affect vehicle handling and can fail suddenly,
possibly resulting in loss of vehicle control.
FUEL TANK CAPACITYYour tank holds 16 gallons (60.6L) of fuel. For optimum
performance use “Regular” unleaded fuel with a pump
(R+M)/2 octane rating of at least 87. Do not use E85
fuels because your vehicle was not designed to run on
fuels with more than 10% ethanol.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCEYour new Ford Mustang comes with the assurance and
support of 24-hour emergency roadside assistance.
Roadside assistance includes such services as:
lockout assistance, limited fuel delivery, battery
jump starts, changing a flat tire, towing and winch
out. To receive roadside assistance in the United
States, call 1 (800) 241-3673. In Canada, call
1 (800) 665-2006. For more information on coverage
period and details of service, refer to your Roadside
Assistance information card.
1 POWER / VOLUMEPress to turn ON or OFF. Turn the knob to increase or
decrease volume.
2 LOAD BUTTONTo load a CD, press LOAD, and, when prompted, use the
presets to select the desired slot. Press and hold LOAD
to autoload up to six CDs. Load CDs one at a time when
prompted, label side up.
3 SEEK BUTTONSPress to access the previous or next strong station
or track. In satellite radio mode (if equipped), press to
seek to the previous/next channel.
4 TExT / SCAN BUTTONIn radio or CD/MP3 mode, press and hold for a brief
sampling of stations or tracks. In CD/MP3 mode, press
and release to display track, title, artist name, disc title
and file name (if available). In satellite radio mode
(if equipped), press and release to display the current
song title.
5 TUNE / DISC SELECTORPress to manually move up or down the radio frequency or
to the desired disc. Press and hold for fast advance.
6 MENU BUTTONUse the MENU button to cycle through the possible
modes (Bass, Treble, Fade, and Balance, among others).
Then use SEEK or
/ to adjust the setting. Fade
adjusts audio between the front and rear speakers and
Balance adjusts between left and right speakers.

SETTING THE CLOCK: Press MENU until SELECT HOUR
or SELECT MINS is displayed. Press SEEK or / to
adjust hours/minutes.
SATELLITE RADIO CONTROLS (IF EQUIPPED)
7 AUx
Press AUX repeatedly to cycle through SAT1, SAT2 or SAT3
(satellite radio modes, if equipped) or LINE IN (auxiliary
audio mode). Once satellite radio mode is active, you may
then press MENU. When SATELLITE RADIO MENU appears
in the display, press OK to enter the satellite radio menu.
Press
/ to access the following options:
CATEGORY, SAVE SONG, DELETE SONG, DELETE ALL SONGS,
ENABLE ALERTS/DISABLE ALERTS. For more information
on these features, please refer to your Owner’s Guide.
8 SETTING MEMORY PRESETSTo set a station, select the desired radio station or
satellite radio channel (if equipped), then press and
hold a preset button (1-6) until sound returns.
9 MP3 TRACK / FOLDER MODEAvailable only on MP3 discs in CD mode. Press to
access previous/next folder.
NAVIGATION SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)Your vehicle may be equipped with a navigation system.
Before loading the map DVD, ensure that the vehicle is in
neutral, with the parking brake applied and your hands
are off the gearshift lever. For further information, refer to
your Navigation Supplement.
1 TEMPERATURE CONTROLRotate the knob to adjust the temperature of the
airflow in the vehicle.
2 MODE SELECTORControls the source of airflow into the vehicle. You
can choose floor , instrument panel or
windshield defroster air vents, or combinations
of these.
3 FAN SPEEDRotate the knob to adjust the volume of air circulated
in the vehicle.
4 MAx A/CDistributes recirculated air through the instrument panel
vents to cool the vehicle. This re-cooling of the interior air
is more economical and efficient. Set the temperature knob
to full cold position. Set to highest fan speed initially, then
adjust to maintain comfort.
5 A/CPress to activate/deactivate air conditioning. Use
with recirculated air to improve cooling performance.

6 REAR DEFROST AND DEFOGGINGEnsure that the ignition is turned ON. Press the control to clear the rear window of thin ice and

fog. The LED will illuminate. The rear defroster turns off
automatically after 15 minutes or when the ignition
is turned OFF. To manually turn off the rear defroster,
push the control again.
7 DRIVER & PASSENGER HEATED SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)Press to activate or deactivate the driver or
passenger heated seat. NOTE Heated seats will turn
off automatically after 10 minutes of use.
8 RECIRCULATED AIR CONTROLPress to activate/deactivate recirculated air in the
cabin. Recirculated air may reduce the amount of
time required to cool down the interior of the vehicle
and may also help reduce undesired exterior odors
from reaching the interior of the vehicle. Recirculated
air engages automatically in MAX A/C or can be
engaged manually in any other mode, except defrost.
REDUCING FOG BUILDUPPlace the airflow selector in the or position.
REDUCING HUMIDITY BUILDUPDo not drive with the airflow selector in the OFF (O)
position or with recirculated air engaged.

in the direction you wish to tilt the mirror. Return the control to the center position to lock the mirrors in place.
POWER WINDOWSPush or pull the rocker switches to open or close your windows. Push down and hold the switch to open. Pull up and hold
the switch to close. Express Down and Express Up allows the driver to fully open and close the window without holding the
control down. Express Down: Push the switch completely down to the second detent and release quickly. The window
will open fully. Express Up: Pull the switch completely up to the second detent and release quickly. The window will
automatically fully close. Momentarily press the switch to any position to stop window operation.
GLASS ROOF AND SUN SHADE (IF EQUIPPED)Your vehicle may be equipped with a glass roof as well as a roller blind sun shade. To close the sun shade, slide it
towards the front of the vehicle. To open, slide the shade towards the rear of the vehicle.
SHORT DROP GLASS (FRONT WINDOWS ONLY)In order to improve door efforts and sealing, your vehicle is equipped with short drop glass. This feature lowers
the glass when either door is opened. The glass returns to its closed position when the door is closed. For more
detailed information, please refer to your Owner’s Guide.
REMOTE ENTRY SYSTEMThis feature allows you to lock or unlock the vehicle’s doors without a key. It also allows you to release the trunk lid,
activate a personal alarm, and arm or disarm the active anti-theft alarm system (if equipped). NOTE The Panic function
will only operate when the ignition is turned off and the trunk lid release function only operates when the vehicle speed
is less than 3 mph (5 km/h). Up to six remote transmitters can be programmed to your vehicle.
C AR FINDERPress twice on your remote entry transmitter within 3 seconds. The horn will chirp and turn lamps will flash.
It is recommended that this method be used to locate your vehicle, rather than using the panic alarm.
AUxILIARY INPUT j ACKYour vehicle is equipped with an Auxiliary Input Jack located in the console bin. This allows you to plug and play
auxiliary audio devices. Press AUX repeatedly on your audio system until LINE IN appears in the display, and then
plug in your auxiliary audio device. For more detailed information, please refer to your Owner’s Guide.
AUTOMATIC DIMMING INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR (IF EQUIPPED)The auto dimming rear view mirror is equipped with a feature that will reduce glare in the rear view mirror when
bright lights are detected. It automatically returns to normal/clear when the vehicle is placed in Reverse (R). For
more detailed information, please refer to your Owner’s Guide.
COMBINATION LAP AND SHOULDER BELTSFor easier access to the front safety belt for the front seat occupant, rotate the presenter arm toward the front of
the vehicle until it locks into place. To access the second row seats, rotate the arm back to its original position
against the trim panel.
CONVERTIBLE (IF EQUIPPED)Do not store articles behind rear seat. Articles stored in the convertible top stowage compartment may break
the rear glass window when the top is lowered. The convertible top can be lowered with the windows down. The
windows automatically lower when lowering or raising the top. Do not lower the top when the top material is wet.
NOTE The convertible top will not operate unless the vehicle is traveling under 3 mph (5 km/h).
TO LOWER THE CONVERTIBLE TOP
1 Stop the vehicle completely. Turn the key to the ON position. Recommended: Run the vehicle’s engine when
lowering or raising the top to prevent draining the battery. 2 Ensure the convertible top stowage compartment
behind the rear seat is empty and ready to receive the top. Ensure the convertible top outer surface is free of leaves
and debris.
3 Unclamp the top from the windshield header at both the right and left sides by pulling each handle
down and rearward until the handle clears the windshield header. NOTE If the top has not been lowered for a
while and sticks to the windshield header, push the front of the top up slightly with your hand to loosen it. 4 Push
the convertible top switch on the overhead console and hold until the windows are completely down and the top
is completely stored.
T O RAISE THE CONVERTIBLE TOP1 Stop the vehicle completely. Turn the key to the ON position. Recommended: Run the vehicle’s engine when
raising or lowering the top to prevent draining the battery. 2 Push and hold the convertible top switch until the
windows lower completely and the top unfolds and moves forward toward the windshield header. 3 Open both
handles before the top meets the windshield header. 4 Continue to use the convertible top switch to raise the top
until it has reached the fully closed position flush to the header. The two pins under the forward edge of the top should
seat in the matching holes in the header.
5 To fasten both handles securely, rotate the handles into the header on the
top until they reach the full forward position and push up on the handle to the stowed position. Pulling down on the
header at the center grip while closing the handles may assist in fastening the top.
6 Raise the rear windows first and

Mustang. It will allow you to familiarize yourself with
many of your new Mustang’s features and functions.
For the most detailed information and important
safety information refer to your Owner’s Guide.
Use extreme caution when using any device or
feature that may take your attention off the road.
Your primary responsibility is the safe operation of
the vehicle. Only use non-essential features and
devices when it is safe to do so.

1 HEADLAMPS, FOG LAMPS (IF EQUIPPED) AND PANEL DIMMER CONTROLTurn the control one position to the right to turn on the parking lamps,
instrument panel lamps, license plate lamps and tail lamps. Turn the control to
the second position on the right
to turn on the headlamps. Pull the control
towards you to activate the fog lamps (if equipped). The fog lamps will not operate
when the control is turned off
or when the high beams are on. Use the panel
dimmer control to adjust the level of brightness on the instrument panel during
parking lamp and headlamp operation. Move the control to the full upright position,
past the detent, to turn on the interior lamps.
2 TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) When the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning light is lit, one or more of
your tires is significantly under-inflated. You should stop and check the tires as soon as
possible and inflate them to the proper pressure, as shown on the Safety Compliance
Certification Label or Tire Label (located on the edge of the driver’s door). Driving on
a significantly under-inflated tire causes the tire to overheat and can eventually lead
to tire failure.
NOTE Outside temperatures affect tire pressure; refer to the Owner’s
Guide for additional tire information.
3 ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)The ABS warning lamp will momentarily illuminate when the ignition is turned on.
If the light fails to illuminate when the ignition is turned on, stays on or flashes, have
your vehicle serviced. In an emergency, apply continuous force to the brake pedal.
Do not pump the brakes. Any pulsation or mechanical noise you may feel or hear
is normal.
4 SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHTThe Service Engine Soon indicator light illuminates when the ignition is first turned
on. If the light stays on or blinks, the On Board Diagnostics System has detected a
malfunction. Drive moderately (avoid heavy acceleration or deceleration) and have
your vehicle serviced immediately.
5 GEARSHIFT / OVERDRIVE CONTR OLDrive with the vehicle in D (Overdrive) for the best fuel economy. You can deactivate
overdrive by pressing the transmission control switch on the right side of the
shift handle. You may want to deactivate overdrive when driving conditions cause
excessive shifting such as heavy city traffic, hilly terrain, heavy loads, etc. and when
engine breaking is required. To return to overdrive, simply press the transmission
control switch again.
6 TILT STEERING COLUMN (IF EQUIPPED) To adjust the steering wheel, push the lever down to unlock the steering column. While
the lever is in the down position, tilt the steering column to your desired position. Then,
while holding the steering column in place, pull the lever up to its original position to lock
the steering column.
7 TRACTION CONTROL™ (IF EQUIPPED)
This system helps you maintain the stability and steerability of your vehicle on slippery
road surfaces such as snow, ice or gravel. The system works closely with many of the
elements already present in the Anti-Lock Braking System. The system defaults to on.
However, should you become stuck, try switching the Traction Control
™ off. Remember
to reactivate Traction Control™ once you resume normal driving.
8 SPEED CONTROLTo set the speed control, press and release ON. Accelerate to the desired speed.
Press and release the SET + control. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal. The
speed control indicator light
will illuminate in the cluster. To set a higher speed:
press and hold SET+ until the desired speed is reached, or briefly press SET+ to
increase the speed by small amounts. To set a lower speed: press and hold SET- until
the desired speed is reached, or briefly press SET- to decrease the speed by small
amounts. Press RESUME to return to the previously set speed. To turn speed control
off, depress the brake pedal or clutch pedal (if equipped).
9 WINDSHIELD WIPER / WASHERThe windshield wiper/washer lever controls the windshield wiper modes, speeds and
the windshield washer. For intermittent operation, move the control up one position, then
rotate the rotary control to the speed you want. For normal or low speed wiper operation,
move the control up two positions from OFF. For high-speed operation, move the control up
three positions from OFF. For windshield washer control, pull the end of the stalk toward
you. A quick pull and hold, and the wipers will swipe three times with washer fluid. A long
pull and hold, and the wipers and washer fluid will be activated for up to ten seconds.
10 MYCOLOR™ (IF EQUIPPED)
The instrument cluster gauges are backlit with white backlighting when the headlamps
are off. When the headlamps are on, you can select one of six preset colors or create
your own color (MyColor
™) for the nighttime gauge backlighting. Headlamps must be
on to set up the nighttime display. NOTE A gauge in a warning condition will be lit red
when the headlamps are on. Press SETUP to get to the DISPLAY COLOR set-up menu. Pressing RESET will scroll through the following selectable colors: Green, Purple, Orange,
Blue, White, Red, and Adjust (to define MyColor
™).
Adjusting MyColor
™: The vehicle must be stationary to enter the MyColor™ adjust mode.
To enter the MyColor™ adjust mode, hold RESET for three seconds at the Adjust menu,
or press SETUP to scroll through the display colors again. When in the MyColor™ adjust
mode, pressing RESET will step through the Red, Green, Blue and Exit options. You can
create your own color by adjusting the levels of the three primary colors to achieve any
of 125 different combinations. Pressing SETUP will increment the proportion of the color
(Red, Green, or Blue) being adjusted. Try many combinations and record your favorites. To
save and exit MyColor™, adjust and hold RESET for three seconds when prompted.*
11 MESSAGE CENTER (IF EQUIPPED)With the ignition turned on, the message center displays important vehicle information by
constantly monitoring vehicle systems. You may select display features on the message
center for a display of status. The system will also notify you of potential vehicle problems
with a display of system warnings followed by a long indicator chime.*
12 SECURILOCK™ PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMThis system is designed to help prevent the engine from being started unless a
coded key programmed to your vehicle is used. Your SecuriLock™ system is armed
immediately after turning the ignition off. The theft indicator (if equipped) will flash
every two seconds when the vehicle is armed. Switching the ignition to the ON
position with a coded key disarms the system. Your vehicle comes with two coded
keys. You can purchase additional coded keys from your dealer.*
AMBIENT / MOOD LIGHTING (IF EQUIPPED) Your vehicle may be equipped with an ambient lighting feature which, when activated,
illuminates the footwells, cup holders and console bin with a choice of seven
colors. Ambient lighting is operational when the ignition is on or in the accessory
position. Press the control repeatedly to turn on, cycle through your color choices,
and turn off.
ADjUSTING THE FRONT POWER SEATS (IF EQUIPPED)The control is located on the side of the seat. Press the front to raise or lower the front
portion of the seat cushion. Press the rear to raise or lower the rear portion of the seat
cushion. Press the control to move the seat forward, backward, up or down.*
