Tailgate release
This enables the tailgate to be unlocked
in the event of a central locking fault.
- Fold back the rear seats to gain access to the tailgate release from
inside the boot.
- Remove the plastic cap from the opening A in the tailgate interior
pillar. SUNROOF
Complete opening
With the ignition on, push the control
rearwards (in the direction 1 ).

opening to prevent unwanted gusts of
air.
Operation
Complete closing
With the ignition on, push the control
forwards (in the direction 2 ).

To stop opening or closing, press
part 3 of the control or push the
control in the opposite direction.
Partial opening
To open , with the ignition on, press
part 3 of the control.
The rear part of the sunroof opens.

The rear part of the sunroof closes.

before complete opening. Push the

Tailgate release
This enables the tailgate to be unlocked

Safety auto-reverse and
reinitialisation
If the roof meets an obstacle while it is
closing, it stops and opens again. Always remove the key from
the ignition when leaving the
vehicle, even for a short time.
If the roof meets an obstacle dur-
ing operation, you must reverse the
movement of the roof. To do this,
press the control concerned.
When the driver operates the roof
control, he must ensure that no one
is preventing the roof from closing
correctly.
The driver must ensure that passen-
gers use the sunroof correctly.
Be aware of children when operating
the roof.
In the event of unwanted opening of
t h e r o o f o n c l o s i n g ( f o r e x a m p l e , i n
the presence of ice) and immediately
after the roof has stopped, or after
the safety auto-reverse has been
t r i g g e r e d fi v e t i m e s i n s u c c e s s i o n :
press part 3 of the control several
times to partially open the roof,
when the roof partially opens,
continue to press for more than
3 seconds .

The safety auto-reverse function
is not operational during t hese
operations. SHUTTER
The shutter is manual, slide it.
It is stored automatically when the roof
is opened.
Check that the sunroof is
not open in tilt mode before
closing the shutter.
The shutter cannot be closed
when the sunroof is open in sliding
mode .

Fascia fuses

Charging the battery using a
battery charger
Disconnect the battery from the
vehicle.
Remove the battery and place it in a
ventilated area.
Remove the top-up caps and top
up the level with distilled water if
necessary.
Connect the battery to the charger
observing the instructions for use
provided by the manufacturer and
start charging.
Disconnect the battery from the
charger and let it cool.
If necessary, top up the level with
distilled water.
Clean the top of the battery
carefully.
Put the top-up caps back in place.
Check that the terminals and
connectors are clean. If they are
covered with sulphate (whitish or
greenish deposit), remove them
and clean them.
Reconnect the battery starting with
the positive terminal (+). Do not disconnect the terminals
while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries
without disconnecting the
t e r m i n a l s fi r s t . Following reconnection of the
battery
Following reconnection of the battery,
switch on the ignition and wait 1 minute
before starting to permit initialisation of
the electronic systems. However, if slight
d i f fi c u l t i e s a r e e n c o u n t e r e d f o l l o w i n g t h i s
operation, contact a CITROËN dealer.
Referring to the corresponding section,
you must yourself reinitialise:
- the one-touch electric windows,
- the sunroof,
- the satellite navigation system.
Avoid prolonged contact of the
electrolyte with the skin.
M o s t o f t h e s e fl u i d s a r e h a r m f u l
to health and very corrosive. It is advisable to disconnect the
battery if the vehicle is to be left
unused for more than one month.
The batteries contain harmful
substances such as sulphuric acid
and lead. They must be disposed of
in accordance with regulations and
must not, in any circumstances, be
discarded with household waste.
Take used remote control batteries
and vehicle batteries to a special
collection point.
When charging the battery, it is
normal to observe an increase in
temperature and bubbling of the
electrolyte.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ig-
nition before disconnecting the battery.
Close the windows, the sunroof, the
doors and the tailgate before discon-
necting the battery.
