GENERAL POINTS RELATING
TO CHILD SEATS
Although one of CITROËN's main
criteria when designing your vehicle,
the safety of your children also
depends on you.
For maximum safety, please follow
t h e s e p r e c a u t i o n s :
- all children under the age of 12 or l e s s t h a n o n e m e t r e fi f t y t a l l m u s t
travel in approved child seats suited
t o t h e i r w e i g h t , o n s e a t s fi t t e d w i t h
a seat belt or ISOFIX mountings.
- statistically, the safest seats in your vehicle for the transportation of
children are the rear seats,
- a child weighing less than 9 kg must travel in the "rearwards-
facing" position both in the front
and in the rear,
- the passenger must not travel with a child on his lap. INSTALLING A CHILD SEAT USING A THREE POINT SEAT BELT
"Rearwards-facing"
Recommended on the rear seats up to
the age of 2.
When a "rearwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat,
it is essential that the passenger air
bag is disarmed. Otherwise, the child
would risk being seriously injured or
k i l l e d i f t h e a i r b a g w e r e t o i n fl a t e .
"Forwards-facing"
Recommended on the rear seats over
the age of 2.
When a "forwards-facing" child seat is
installed on the front passenger seat,
leave the passenger air bag armed.

your country.
Please consult the list of seats
a p p r o v e d i n y o u r c o u n t r y . T h e i s o fi x
mountings, the rear seats, the

The mountings comprise three rings for

To attach this strap, raise the
vehicle seat's head restraint then
pass the hook between its rods.

tighten the upper strap.
