ACCESS
SHUTTER SHUTTER
The shutter is manual, slide it.
It is stored automatically when the roof
is opened. Check that the sunroof is not
open in tilt mode before closing
the shutter.
The shutter cannot be closed
when the sunroof is open in

sliding mode .
Always remove the key from the
ignition when leaving the vehi-
cle, even for a short time.
If the roof meets an obstacle
during operation, you must re-
verse the movement of the roof.
To do this, press the control con-
cerned.
When the driver operates the
roof control, he must ensure that
no one is preventing the roof
from closing correctly.
The driver must ensure that pas-
sengers use the sunroof cor-
rectly.
Be aware of children when oper-
ating the roof.

CHILD SAFETY
The incorrect installation of a
child seat in a vehicle compro-
mises the child's protection in
the event of an accident.
Remember to fasten the seat
belts or the child seat harnesses
keeping the slack in relation to
the child's body to a minimum,
even for short journeys.
For optimum installation of the
"forward facing" child seat, en-
sure that the back of the child
seat is in contact with the back
of the vehicle's seat and that the
head restraint does not cause
any discomfort.
If the head restraint has to be
removed, ensure that it is stored
or attached securely to prevent
it from being thrown around the
vehicle in the event of sharp
braking.
Children under the age of
10 must not travel in the "for-
ward facing" position on the front
passenger seat, unless the rear
seats are already occupied by
other children, cannot be used
or are absent.
Disarm the passenger air bag
when a "rear facing" child seat
is installed on the front seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk
being seriously injured or killed
if the air bag were to infl ate. Installing a booster seat
The chest part of the seat belt must
be positioned on the child's shoulder
without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap part of the seat
belt passes correctly over the child's
thighs.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of a
booster seat which has a back, fi tted
with a seat belt guide at shoulder level.
As a safety precaution, do not leave:
- one or more children alone and un-
supervised in a vehicle,
- a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with
the windows closed,
- the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle.
To prevent accidental opening of the
doors, use the "Child lock".
Take care not to open the rear win-
dows by more than one third.
To protect young children from the
rays of the sun, fi t side blinds on the
rear windows.
CHILD LOCK

 Lower the control A to position 1 .
Locking
Unlocking

 Raise the control A to position 2 .
Mechanical system to prevent opening
of the rear door using its interior control.
The control is located on the edge of
each rear door.

SAFETY
If the air bag warning light and
the display come on continuous-
ly, do not install a "rear facing"
child seat on the front passenger
seat.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Operating fault
If this warning light comes on on the
instrument panel and this display ap-
pears on the instrument panel display,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the
system checked. The air bags may no
longer be triggered in the event of a se-
rious impact.
To guarantee the safety of your
child, it is imperative that the
passenger air bag is disarmed
when you install a "rear facing"
child seat on the front passen-
ger seat.
Otherwise, the child would risk
being seriously injured or killed
if the air bag were triggered.
This warning light comes on on the centre
console front panel when the ignition is on
and until the air bag is re-armed.
Reactivation
When you remove the child seat, turn
switch
A to the "ON" position to re-arm
the air bag and so guarantee the safety
of your front passenger in the event of
an impact.
The associated warning light switches off.
Deactivation
Only the front passenger's air bag can
be disarmed:

 with the ignition off , insert the key
in the passenger air bag disarming
switch A ,

 turn it to the "OFF" position,

 remove the key.

DRIVING
"Normal" automatic mode
Select position D .

"D" appears on the instrument panel
display.
The gearbox then operates in automatic
mode, without any action on the part of
the driver.
To optimise driving comfort and obtain
the most suitable gear, avoid sharp vari-
ations in the pressure on the accelerator
pedal.
"Temporary" manual mode
In the automatic mode, you can resume
control temporarily at any time using
the steering wheel controls.
The use of these controls permits man-
ual selection of the gears in situations
which require a faster changedown than
that offered in automatic mode (arrival
at a roundabout, exit from a car park
with a steep gradient, overtaking...).
The gearbox engages the gear re-
quested if the engine speed permits it.
The gear engaged appears.
To return to the automatic mode, press
the back of the "+/OFF" control for at
least 2 seconds. "Sport" automatic mode
From the automatic mode, you can en-
gage the "Sport" mode.
With the vehicle moving or stationary,
push the dial
A forward.

"SPORT" appears on the instrument
panel display.
Switching off the "Sport" automatic
mode
You can return to the "Normal" auto-
matic mode at any time:
Push the dial A rearward once. Stopping the vehicle
Before switching off the engine, you
must engage position
P or N to place
the gearbox in neutral.
It is imperative that you apply the hand-
brake to immobilise the vehicle.
In order to remove the key from the ig-
nition, the gear lever must be in posi-
tion P .
Stopping - Starting on a hill
To assist you when starting on a hill,
your vehicle is fi tted with a system
which immobilises it briefl y (approxi-
mately 2 seconds), the time required to
move your foot from the brake pedal to
the accelerator pedal. This function is
only active when the vehicle has been
completely immobilised with your foot
on the brake pedal and on certain gra-
dients.

Do not get out of the vehicle during
the hill start assistance temporary
immobilisation phase.
To immobilise the vehicle on a hill for a
longer period, you must use the hand-
brake, not the accelerator.
When starting on a hill, accelerate gradu-
ally while releasing the handbrake.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Fascia fuses
The fuse boxes are placed in the lower
part of the fascia behind the glove box.
Access to the fuses

 Open the glove box,

 Push the two opening guides A in-
wards to pass the fi rst notch,

 Remove the retaining tab B pulling
it outwards,

 Support the cover and tilt it down-
wards,

 Change the fuse (refer to the cor-
responding paragraph).

Press the MENU button.
Press [Address/Junction]. Press [Country] and enter the name of the country using the touch keypad.
When a character of the name of the country is entered, if 5 countries or
fewer are recognised, you can select a country from a list which is dis-
played or press [List].
You can select one of the 5 most recently selected countries by
pressing [Last 5] on the "Country" line.
Press [City] then [Keyword] and enter the name of the city usin g the touch
keypad.
When a character of the name of the city is entere d, if 5 cities or fewer are
recognised, you can select a city from a list which is displayed or press
[List].
You can select a city using the post code.
Press [Post Code] and enter the number.
You can select one of the 5 most recently selected cities by pressing
[Last 5] on the "City" line.

Press [Street] and enter the name of a street using the touch keypad.
When a character of the name of the street is entered, if 5 streets or fewer
are recognised, you can select a street from a list which is displa yed or
press [List].
Press [House #] and enter the number of the house using the touch keypad.
You can enter the name of a junction instead of the numb er
of the street. Press [Junction] and select the name from a
list which is displayed.
