 Adjust the pressure using the compressor (to inflate: switch B in position "1" ; to deflate: switch B in position "0" and press button E ), in accordance with the vehicle's tyre pressure label (located on the left hand door aper ture). A loss of pressure indicates that the
puncture has not been fully plugged; contact a CITROËN dealer for assistance.  Remove and stow the kit.
 Drive at reduced speed (50 mph [80 km/h] max) limiting the distance travelled to approximately 120 miles (200 km).
 Visit a CITROËN dealer as soon as
possible to have the tyre repaired or replaced by a technician.
Take care, this product is harmful (e.g. ethylene-glycol, colophony, ethanediol...) if swallowed and causes
irritation to the eyes. Keep it out of reach of children. The expiry date of the fluid is indicated on the car tridge. The sealant car tridge is designed for single use; even if only par tly used, it must be replaced. To remove the car tridge, unscrew it completely at its cap and pull off. After use, do not discard the car tridge into the environment, take it to an authorised waste disposal site or a CITROËN dealer. Do not forget to obtain a new sealant car tridge, available from CITROËN dealers.

The spare wheel is installed in the boot under the floor. According to country, you will have either a "space saver" spare wheel or a temporary puncture repair kit. For access to it, refer to the paragraph "Access to the tools" on the previous page.

Fitting the "space-saver" type spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels, it is normal to notice, when tightening the bolts on fitting, that the washers do not come into contact with the "space-saver" type spare wheel. The wheel is secured by the conical contact of each bolt.
Taking out the wheel
 Unscrew the yellow central bolt.  Raise the spare wheel towards you from
the rear.  Take the wheel out of the boot.

CITROËN will not accept responsibility for the cost incurred in repairing your vehicle or for rectifying malfunctions resulting from the installation of accessories not supplied and not recommended by CITROËN and not installed in accordance with its instructions, in par ticular when the combined consumption of all of the additional equipment connected exceeds 10 milliamperes.
The extraction pliers and the spare fuse storage locations are fitted to the back of the dashboard fuse box cover.
For access to them:  open the glove box lid,  unclip the fusebox cover by pulling on the
side,  remove the cover completely,  remove the pliers.

Before changing a fuse, the cause of the failure must be identified and rectified.
 Identify the faulty fuse by checking the condition of its filament.

Load reduction mode
System which manages the use of cer tain functions according to the level of charge remaining in the battery. When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily deactivates cer tain functions, such as the air conditioning, the heated rear screen... The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as conditions permit.
Energy economy mode
This period may be greatly reduced if the battery is not fully charged.
A flat battery prevents the engine from star ting (refer to the corresponding paragraph).
If the telephone is being used at the same time on the MyWay audio navigation system, it will be interrupted after 10 minutes.
System which manages the period of use of cer tain functions to conser ve a sufficient level of charge in the battery. After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as the audio equipment, windscreen wipers, dipped beam headlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for a maximum combined period of thir ty minutes.
Switching to economy mode
Once this period has elapsed, a message appears on the multifunction screen indicating that the vehicle has switched to economy mode and the active functions are put on standby.
Exiting economy mode
These functions are reactivated automatically the next time the vehicle is driven.  In order to resume the use of these functions immediately, star t the engine and let it run for a few minutes. The time available to you will then be double the period for which the engine is left running. However, this period will always be between five and thir ty minutes.

Driving advice
Distribution of loads
 Distribute the load in the trailer so that the heaviest items are as close as possible to the axle and the nose weight approaches the maximum permitted without exceeding it. Air density decreases with altitude, thus reducing engine per formance. Above 1 000 metres, the maximum towing load must be reduced by 10 % and so on for every 1 000 metres of altitude. Refer to the "Technical Data" section for details of the weights and towing loads which apply to your vehicle.
Side wind
 Take into account the increased sensitivity to side wind.
Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases the temperature of the coolant. As the fan is electrically controlled, its cooling capacity is not dependent on the engine speed.  To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed. The maximum towing load on a long slope depends on the gradient and the ambient temperature. In all cases, pay attention to the coolant temperature.
Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking distance.
Tyres
 Check the tyre pressures of the towing vehicle and of the trailer, obser ving the recommended pressures.
Lighting
 Check the electrical lighting and signalling on the trailer.
 If the warning lamp and the STOP warning lamp come on, stop the vehicle and switch off
the engine as soon as possible.
