Four wheel drive system with electronic control
This system permits the selection of a transmission mode in relation to the driving conditions.
Automatic air conditioning
This automatic air conditioning system g u a r a n t e e s c o m f o r t a n d a s u f fi c i e n t circulation of air in the passenger com-partment.
Cruise control
This system automatically maintains the vehicle speed at the value pro- g r a m m e d b y t h e d r i v e r , w i t h o u t t h e accelerator pedal being pressed.

FAMILIARISATION
Cruise control
This maintains a constant vehicle speed programmed by the driver.
1. "ON/OFF" button: activation/deactivation of the cruise control mode.
2. "COAST SET" button: storing of a driving speed then decreasing of the cruising speed.
3. "ACC RES" button: increasing of the cruising speed and recalling of the stored speed.
4. "CANCEL" button: switching off of the cruise control.
I n o r d e r t o b e p r o g r a m m e d o r a c t i v a t e d , the vehicle speed must be higher than 25 mph (40 km/h) with at least second gear engaged.

wheel drive system Flashing When the "LOCK" (4 wheel drive) mode is selected using the

Exterior
temperature Fixed This indicates the exterior temperature.
When the vehicle is stationary or if the speed is below 12 mp

played in zone 1 of the

DISTANCE RECORDERS (A/B)
System for measuring the total dis-
tance travelled by the vehicle during its
service life and the distance travelled in
a day or other period until it is reset to
zero by the driver.
Zero reset
With the ignition on, press the INFO
button for more than 2 seconds until
zeros appear.
When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the tem-
perature of the coolant.
COOLANT TEMPERATURE
If the bar is close to the critical position
located on the right, the temperature is
too high.

Wait for the engine to cool before
topping up the level. The cooling
system is pressurised.
When the engine is
running , this indicates
the distance which can
still be travelled with
the fuel remaining in the
tank in relation to the av-
erage consumption over
the last few miles/kilo-
metres travelled.
RANGE
When the range is less than 30 miles
(50 km) , dashes are displayed.
Fill the fuel tank as soon as possible.
The display of the range is updated.
To avoid any risk of scalding, unscrew
the cap by two turns to allow the pres-
sure to drop.
When the pressure has dropped, re-
move the cap and top up the level, if
necessary.
Consult a CITROËN dealer. T h i s fi g u r e m a y i n c r e a s e f o l l o w i n g a
change in the style of driving or the
relief, resulting in a reduction in the
current consumption.
If you only add a few litres, the value
displayed will be incorrect. There-
f o r e , y o u m u s t fi l l t h e t a n k w h e n e v e r
possible.
When you disconnect the battery,
the previous consumption data is
lost and the value displayed will
be different from that displayed before
the battery was disconnected. The dis-
tance displayed must be considered
an approximate indication.

SERVICE INDICATOR Resetting the service indicator to zero
Your CITROËN dealer carries out this
operation after each service.
If you have carried out your vehicle's
service yourself, the zero reset proce-
dure is the following:
switch off the ignition.
press the INFO button several times
in succession until the service indi-
cator is displayed.
press and hold the INFO button for
a few seconds until the s p a n n e r
fl a s h e s .
press the INFO button while the
s p a n n e r i s fl a s h i n g t o c h a n g e t h e
display "---" to "CLEAR" then the
time remaining before the next serv-
ice is due is displayed.
Service overdue
O p e r a t i o n
When the ignition is switched on, you
must press the INFO button several
times in succession until the service
indicator is displayed. The distance re-
corder display line indicates the number
of miles (kilometres) remaining and the
time elapsed line indicates the number
of months remaining before the next
service is due.
After a certain distance and a certain
time, the displaying of "---" is reinitialised
and the display indicates the time re-
maining before the next service is due.
System which informs the driver when
the next service is due in accordance
with the manufacturer's servicing
schedule.
The point at which the next service is
due is calculated from the last service
indicator zero reset.
It is determined by two parameters:
- the distance travelled (in miles (km),
- the time elapsed since the last service (in months).
The distance remaining to be travelled
may be weighted by the time factor, de-
pending on the user's driving habits.
E x a m p l e : the display indicates that
7 300 miles (kilometres) remain before
the next service is due.
The symbol "--" remains displayed
u n t i l t h e fi r s t s e r v i c e o f a n e w v e h i c l e
has been carried out.
E x a m p l e : the display indicates that the
service is overdue. This service must
be carried out by a CITROËN dealer.
Each time the ignition is switched on,
the display
"SCHEDULED SERVICE"
is displayed for a few seconds to indi-
cate that the service must be carried
out without delay.
