the “D” position for normal driving.

Multi-information display (if equipped)
The multi-information display presents the driver with a variety of
driving-related data, including th e current outside temperature and
clock.
● Outside temperature
Indicates the outside tempera-
ture.
The temperature range that
can be displayed is from -40°F
(-40°C) to 122°F (50°C).

Indicates and sets the time.
● Trip information ( P. 184)
Displays cruising range, fuel
consumption and other cruis-
ing-related information.

■ Average fuel consumption after refueling
Displays the average fuel consumption since the vehicle was last
refueled.
■ Instantaneous fuel consumption
Displays the instantan eous fuel consumption.
■ Cruising range
Displays the estimated maximum di stance that can be driven with
the quantity of fuel remaining.
• This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As
a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that dis-
played.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may
not be updated.
■Driving distance
Displays the driving distance since the engine was started.
■ Average fuel consumption
Displays the average fuel cons umption since the function was
reset.
This function can be reset by pressing the “DISP” button for longer than
one second when the average fuel consumption is displayed.
When the function is reset, the previous five average fuel consumption
values will automatically be displayed for six seconds.

Trailer towing
Your vehicle is designed primarily as a passenger carrying vehicle.
Towing a trailer will have an adverse effect on handling, perfor-
mance, braking, durability, and fuel consumption. For your safety
and the safety of others , do not overload the vehicle or trailer.
To tow a trailer safely, use extreme care and drive the vehicle in
accordance with the tra iler's characteristics and operating condi-
tions.
The vehicle stability and braking performance are affected by trailer
stability, brake setting and performance, and the hitch.
Toyota warranties do not apply to damage or malfunction caused by
towing a trailer for commercial purposes.

requirements such as a towing kits, etc.
