When the battery is disconnected
Stations presets are erased.
■ Reception sensitivity
●Maintaining perfect radio reception at all times is difficult due to the con-
tinually changing position of the antenna, differences in signal strength
and surrounding objects, such as trains, transmitters, etc.
● Mast type antenna  The radio antenna is mounted on the right-side
front fender. The antenna can be removed from the base by turning it.
● Print type antenna  The radio antenna is mounted inside the left-side
rear quarter window. To maintain clear radio reception, do not attach
metallic window tinting or other metallic objects to the antenna wire
mounted inside the left-side rear quarter window.
■ XM
® Satellite Radio (type B and C)
The optional Toyota genuine satellite radio tuner and antenna allows you to
receive and play XM
® Satellite Radio broadcasts. (Subscription is required.
Not available in Hawaii and Alaska.)

Adjusting the volumePress “+” on to increase the volume and “-” to decrease the
volume.
Press and hold the switch to continue increasing or decreasing the vol-
ume.
Selecting a radio station Press to select the radio mode.
Press “” or “ ” on to select a preset station.
To scan for receivable stations, press and hold the switch until you
hear a beep.
Selecting a track/file
Press to select the CD mode.
Press “” or “ ” on to select t he desired track/file.
Selecting a folder (CD player without changer only)

■Engine oil consumption
●The amount of engine oil consumed depends on the oil viscosity, the
quality of the oil and the way the vehicle is driven.
● More oil is consumed under driving conditions such as high speeds and
frequent acceleration and deceleration.
● A new engine consumes more oil.
● When judging the amount of oil consumption, keep in mind that the oil
may have become diluted, making it difficult to judge the true level accu-
rately.
● Oil consumption: Max. 1.1 qt./600 miles, 0.9 lmp.qt./600 miles (1.0 L per
1000 km)
● If you consume more than 1.1 qt. (1.0 L, 0.9 lmp.qt.) every 600 miles
(1000 km), contact your Toyota dealer.
■ Changing the engine oil (U.S.A. only)
To reset the oil change system, follow the procedure below:
1. Set the “ENGINE START STOP” switch or the engine switch OFF with
the trip meter A reading shown. ( P. 177)
2. While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the “ENGINE START STOP” switch or the engine switch ON.
Without multi-information display
3. Continue to press and hold the button until the trip meter displays 000000.
With multi-information display
3. Continue to press and hold the button until “COMPLETE” appears on the multi-information display.

Start the engine.
Make sure to adjust the tire pressure to the specified level. The
tire pressure warning system will operate based on this pressure
level.
Press and hold the tire pressure
warning reset switch for at least
3 seconds.
The tire pressure warning light
will flash 3 times to indicate that
initialization has started.
Wait a few minutes, and turn the “ENGINE START STOP”
switch or the engine switch OFF.
Registering ID codes
The tire pressure warning valve and transmitter is equipped with a
unique ID code. When replacing a tire pressure warning valve and
transmitter, it is necessary to regi ster the ID code of tire pressure
warning valve and transmitter. Have the ID code registered by your
Toyota dealer.
If the ID code is not registered , the system will not work properly.
After more than 20 minutes, the tire pressure warning light blinks to
indicate a system malfunction.

Maintenance and care
■When to replace your vehicle's tires
Tires should be replaced if:
●You have tire damage such as cuts, splits, cracks deep enough to
expose the fabric or bulges indicating internal damage
●A tire goes flat repeatedly or c
annot be properly repaired due to the
size or location of a cut or other damage
If you are not sure, consult with your Toyota dealer.
■Tire life
Any tire over 6 years old must be checked by a qualified technician even
if they have seldom or never been used or damage is not obvious.
■If the tread wears down below 0.16 in. (4 mm) on snow tires
The effectiveness of snow tires is lost.
■If the tire pressure warning reset switch is pressed while the vehi-
cle is moving
Initialization will not be performed. Be fore performing initialization, stop
the vehicle in a safe place and turn off the engine. ( P. 435)
■If you push the tire pressure reset switch accidentally
If initialization is performed, adjust t he tire inflation pressure to the speci-
fied level and initialize the system again.
■When the initialization of the tire pressure warning system has
failed
Initialization can be completed in a few minutes. However, in the follow-
ing cases, the settings have not b een recorded and the system will not
operate properly. If repeated attempts to record tire inflation pressure
settings are unsuccessful, have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
dealer.
●When operating the tire pressure warning reset switch, the tire pres-
sure warning light does not flash.
●After driving for a certain period of time since the initialization has
been completed, the warning light flashes.
