After changing the wheel:
- have the tightening of the bolts and the tyre pressure of the spare wheel
checked as soon as possible.
-
have the punctured wheel repaired and
r e fi t i t t o t h e v e h i c l e a s s o o n a s p o s s i b l e .
- have the spare wheel checked and replace it in its boot recess.
Fitting a wheel
Position the wheel.
Tighten the bolts by hand.
Partly tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 .
Fold the jack 2 and remove it.
Fully tighten the bolts using the
wheelbrace 1 .

Put the tool holder back in position.

its correct position, to prevent any
d e f o r m a t i o n o f t h e fl o o r w h e n l o a d e d .
Tighten the spare wheel securing
strap to prevent noise and for your
safety in the event of impact.
Reminder: for your safety, always
change a wheel:
- on level, stable, non-slippery ground,
- with the handbrake applied,
- w i t h fi r s t o r r e v e r s e g e a r e n g a g e d (position P for the automatic gear-
box),
- never go underneath a vehicle which is supported only by a jack.
Tools available
The following tools are located in
the holder in the centre of the spare
wheel:
1. Wheelbrace. Permits removal of
the wheel trim and removal of the
wheel securing bolts.
2. Jack with integrated handle.
Permits raising of the vehicle.
3. Removable towing eye. See corre-
sponding section.
4. Bolt cover tool. Permits removal of
the bolt protectors (covers) on al-
loy wheels. Removal
For vehicles with alloy wheels, re-
move the covers using tool 4 .
Loosen the wheel bolts.
Place the jack 2 in one of the four
locations underneath the vehicle
(the nearest one to the wheel to be
changed).
Extend the jack 2 until its base is in
contact with the ground.
Unscrew the bolts and remove the
wheel.

Bolt covers
Alloy wheel bolts are covered by
chrome trims.
Use the yellow tool to remove the trims
before slackening the bolts.
Fitting the spare wheel

notice that the washers do not come
into contact with the rim. The spare
wheel is secured by the cone shape
of each bolt.
VERY COLD CLIMATE SCREEN *
The very cold climate screen is a par-
t i a l r e m o v a b l e c o v e r w h i c h i s fi x e d
onto the air intake grille to prevent the
accumulation of snow due to direct
splashes.
O n c e i t h a s b e e n fi t t e d o n y o u r v e h i -
cle, it is imperative that it is removed
when the ambient temperature condi-
tions rise above 10°C again.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.

Anti-theft bolts

Fitting snow tyres

tial to use special bolts available from
your PEUGEOT dealer.
Note: this anti-theft socket
was given to you on delivery
of your vehicle with the dupli-
cate keys. Make a careful note
of the code number engraved on the
head of the anti-theft socket. This will
enable you to obtain a duplicate anti-
theft socket from a PEUGEOT dealer.
You are advised to do the same for the
duplicate keys and not to leave the
c o n fi d e n t i a l c a r d i n t h e v e h i c l e .

box (passenger side), in the engine
compartment (left-hand side) and in
the left boot trim.
Fascia fuses
To access the fuses, open the glove
box and tilt the fuse box lid.
Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, the cause of

TOWING YOUR VEHICLE
From the rear:
Unclip the cover, pulling the upper
rib towards you,
Screw in the towing eye as far as it
will go.
Special featuresof the automatic gearbox
Lifting (2 wheels only on the ground)
It is preferable to raise the vehicle with
a professional lifting device.
When towing with the engine
switched off, there is no bra-
king or steering assistance.
From the front:
Unclip the left part of the cover,
Screw in the towing eye as far as it
will go. Towing a vehicle with an auto-
matic gearbox in reverse gear
is
prohibited (absence of
lubrication).
When being towed with all four wheels
on the ground, it is imperative that the
following rules are obeyed:
- selector lever in position N ,
- the vehicle must be towed at a speed of less than 30 mph (50 km/h) over
a maximum distance of 30 miles
(50 km),
- do not add oil to the gearbox.
Without lifting (4 wheels on the ground)
You must always use a towbar.
The removable towing eye is inside
the spare wheel.
