g e n e r a t e t h e fi l t e r b y d r i v i n g a t a s p e e d
of at least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the
service warning light is switched off.
If the service warning light is still dis-
played, the additive level is low. Have it
topped up by a PEUGEOT dealer with-
out delay.
D e fl a t e d w h e e l .
If this is displayed, it indicates
a n i n s u f fi c i e n t p r e s s u r e i n o n e
or more wheels.
Check the pressure of the tyres as soon
as possible. Punctured wheel.
If this is displayed, it indicates
that one or more wheels are
punctured. Stop the vehicle im-
mediately and as safely as possible.
Change the damaged wheel and have it
repaired by a PEUGEOT dealer.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n
detection.
If this is displayed, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault on one
o f t h e s e n s o r s o r i n t h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a -
tion detection system.
It may also indicate the absence of a
sensor when the spare wheel, which
d o e s n o t h a v e a s e n s o r , i s fi t t e d i n p l a c e
of a punctured wheel.
Automatic switching on of
the lights.
If this comes on, it indicates the
occurrence of a fault in the au-
tomatic switching on of the lights.
Use the other positions of the lights
stalk.
Visual and/or audible
parking assistance.
If this comes on, in forward and/
or reverse gear, it indicates a
fault in the parking assistance system. 6-speed piloted manual
gearbox or automatic
gearbox.
If this is displayed, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in the 6-speed
p i l o t e d m a n u a l g e a r b o x o r a u t o m a t i c
g e a r b o x . T h e g e a r b o x w i l l t h e n o p e r a t e i n
down-grade mode, locked on 3rd gear.
Invalid value.
If this is displayed, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in the
programme of the 6-speed pi-
l o t e d m a n u a l g e a r b o x o r a u t o -
m a t i c g e a r b o x .

If this is displayed, it indicates
that the gear lever must be
placed in position

To remove the shelf:
unhook the two cords,

An additional hook, under the shelf,
permits easy access to the spare
wheel by retaining the boot carpet
by means of its cord.
To remove the shelf:

Shelf with integrated storage
compartment
This permits the storage of any object so
that it cannot be seen from the outside
and without hindering rearward visibility.
The hooks permit the securing of shop-
ping bags.
Hooks
There are several options for storing the
shelf:
- either upright behind the front seats,

TYRE UNDER-INFLATION DETECTION
System which automatically checks the
pressure of the tyres while driving. All repairs and changing of tyres
o n a w h e e l fi t t e d w i t h t h i s s y s t e m
must be carried out by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
If, when changing a tyre, you in-
stall a wheel which is not detected
b y y o u r v e h i c l e ( e x a m p l e : fi t t i n g
of snow tyres), you must have the
system reinitialised by a PEUGEOT
dealer.
This system does not eliminate
the need to have the tyre pres-
sure checked regularly (refer to the
" I d e n t i fi c a t i o n f e a t u r e s " p a r a g r a p h )
to ensure that the optimum dynamic
performance of the vehicle is main-
tained and prevent premature wear
of the tyres, particularly in arduous
driving conditions (heavy load, high
speed).
The tyre pressures must be checked
cold, at least once a month. Re-
member to check the pressure of
the spare wheel.
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
s y s t e m m a y e x p e r i e n c e t e m p o r a r y
interference due to radioelectric
emissions on a frequency close to
that used by the system.
S e n s o r s fi t t e d i n e a c h v a l v e t r i g g e r a
warning in the event of malfunction
(speed above 12 mph (20 km/h)).
This warning light is displayed
on the instrument panel and/or a
message appears on the multi-
function display, accompanied by
an audible signal, to locate the
wheel concerned.
Check the tyre pressures as soon
as possible.
This check must be carried out when
the tyres are cold.
Flat tyre The
STOP warning light comes
on and/or this warning light is
displayed on the instrument
panel, accompanied by an audi-
ble signal and a message on the
multifunction display locating the
wheel concerned.
Stop immediately, avoiding any sud-
den movement of the steering wheel
and the brakes.
Change the damaged wheel (punc-
t u r e d o r v e r y d e fl a t e d t y r e ) , a n d h a v e
the tyre pressure checked as soon as
possible.
Puncture
T h e t y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
system is an aid to driving which does
not replace the need for the driver to
be vigilant or to drive responsibly. Sensor(s) not detected or faulty
This warning light is displayed
on the instrument panel and/or

or wheels which are not detected or to
indicate a fault in the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to replace
the faulty sensor(s).

CHANGING A WHEEL
The tools are installed in the boot under
t h e fl o o r .
To gain access to them:
open the boot,
r a i s e t h e fl o o r ,
secure it by hooking its cord on the
hook on the rear shelf support,
remove the polystyrene storage
b o x ,
u n c l i p a n d r e m o v e t h e b o x c o n t a i n -
ing the tools. A l l o f t h e s e t o o l s a r e s p e c i fi c t o y o u r
vehicle. Do not use them for other
purposes.

vided with the vehicle.
The tools 1 and 6 are installed in the
boot left-hand side trim.
The tools 2 to 4 a r e i n s t a l l e d i n a b o x ,
in the centre of the spare wheel, placed
underneath the vehicle.
To gain access to them:
open the boot,
o p e n t h e a c c e s s fl a p i n t h e l e f t - h a n d
side trim,
remove the wheelbrace from its sup-
port,
refer to the paragraph "Access to
t h e s p a r e w h e e l " o n t h e n e x t p a g e
to retrieve the other tools.

Fixing the steel or "space-
saving" type spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g , t h a t
the washers do not come into con-
tact with the steel or "space-saving"
type spare wheel. The wheel is
secured by the conical contact of
each bolt.
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
According to country, the spare wheel
may be steel, alloy or of the "space sav-
ing" type.
To gain access to it, refer to the para-
graph "Access to the tools" on the previ-
ous page.
Taking out the wheel
Unscrew the yellow central bolt.
Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.

tre of the wheel and clip it.

back in place.

saving" type spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when

lease the winch and access its con-
trol nut.
Unscrew this nut fully, using the
wheelbrace 1 , to unwind the winch
cable.
D e t a c h t h e w h e e l / b o x a s s e m b l y
from the rear of the vehicle.
Take out the hook to release the
w h e e l / b o x a s s e m b l y , i n a c c o r d a n c e
with the illustration.
Take out the black plastic centring
cone.
Take out the wheel to gain access to
t h e b o x .
S l i d e t h e b o x c o v e r t o t h e c e n t r e
and remove it to gain access to the
other tools.

Store the corresponding tools in the

Position the black plastic centring
cone (on the steel or "space-saving"
type wheel only).
P a s s t h e h o o k i n t o t h e b o x c o v e r .

derneath the vehicle by tighten-
ing the winch control nut using the
wheelbrace 1 .
Tighten fully and check that the
w h e e l i s h o r i z o n t a l l y fl u s h a g a i n s t
t h e fl o o r .
C l o s e t h e fl a p w i t h t h e e y e t o l o c k
the winch.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h
a sensor. The punctured wheel
must be repaired by a PEUGEOT
dealer. If you purchase a wheel of uniform
size to replace the "space-saving"
type spare wheel, the shim, locat-
ed underneath the vehicle, must
be removed. Consult a PEUGEOT
