LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SYSTEM
System which detects the involuntary
c r o s s i n g o f l o n g i t u d i n a l t r a f fi c l a n e
markings on the ground (continuous or
discontinuous line).
S e n s o r s , fi t t e d b e l o w t h e f r o n t b u m p e r ,
trigger a warning if the vehicle drifts
(speed higher than 50 mph (80 km/h).
This system operates to its full potential
above all when used on motorways and
main roads. The lane departure warning sys-
tem cannot, in any circumstances,
replace the need for vigilance and
responsibility on the part of the
driver. Deactivation
Press button A again, the indicator
light switches off.
Activation
Press button A , the indicator light
comes on.
Operating fault
If the indicator light on the button switches
off while the system is active, this indicates
a malfunction.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
The detection may be disrupted:
- if the sensors are dirty (mud, snow, ...),
- if the markings on the ground are worn,
- if there is little contrast between the markings on the ground and
the road surface.
Detection
You are warned by the vibration of the
driver's seat cushion:
- on the right-hand side, if the marking
on the ground has been crossed on
the right,
- on the left-hand side, if the marking on the ground has been crossed on
the left.
No warning is transmitted while the
direction indicator is active and for
a p p r o x i m a t e l y 2 0 s e c o n d s a f t e r t h e d i -
rection indicator is switched off.
A warning may be transmitted if a direc-
tion marking (arrow) or non-standard
m a r k i n g ( g r a f fi t i ) i s c r o s s e d .
The status of the system remains
in the memory when the ignition is
switched off.

Deactivation Operating fault
The system will be deactivated au-
tomatically when a trailer is being
towed or when a bicycle carrier is
fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r
or bicycle carrier recommended by
PEUGEOT ).
Reactivation
Press button A again, the warning
light switches off, the system is
reactivated.
Press button A , the warning light
comes on, the system is fully
deactivated. In bad weather or in winter, ensure
that the sensors are not covered with
mud, ice or snow. When reverse gear
is engaged, an audible signal (long
beep) indicates that the sensors may
be dirty. If an operating fault occurs, this
warning light is displayed on the
instrument panel and/or a mes-
sage appears on the multifunc-
tion display, accompanied by an audible
signal (short beep), when reverse gear
is engaged.

Fixing the steel or "space-
saving" type spare wheel
I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a l l o y
wheels, it is normal to notice, when
t i g h t e n i n g t h e b o l t s o n fi t t i n g , t h a t
the washers do not come into con-
tact with the steel or "space-saving"
type spare wheel. The wheel is
secured by the conical contact of
each bolt.
Access to the spare wheel
The spare wheel is installed in the boot
u n d e r t h e fl o o r .
According to country, the spare wheel
may be steel, alloy or of the "space sav-
ing" type.
To gain access to it, refer to the para-
graph "Access to the tools" on the previ-
ous page.
Taking out the wheel
Unscrew the yellow central bolt.
Raise the spare wheel towards you
from the rear.
Take the wheel out of the boot.
Putting the wheel back in place
Put the wheel back in its housing.
Unscrew the yellow central bolt by a
few turns then put it in place in the
centre of the wheel.
Tighten fully until the central bolt
clicks to retain the wheel correctly.
P u t t h e b o x b a c k i n p l a c e i n t h e c e n -
tre of the wheel and clip it.
P u t t h e p o l y s t y r e n e s t o r a g e b o x
back in place.

T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h
a sensor. The punctured wheel
must be repaired by a PEUGEOT
dealer.

Putting the wheel back in place
Store the corresponding tools in the
b o x a n d c l o s e t h e c o v e r .
P o s i t i o n t h e b o x o n t h e g r o u n d a n d
centre the spare wheel on it.
Position the black plastic centring
cone (on the steel or "space-saving"
type wheel only).
P a s s t h e h o o k i n t o t h e b o x c o v e r .
R a i s e t h e w h e e l / b o x a s s e m b l y u n -
derneath the vehicle by tighten-
ing the winch control nut using the
wheelbrace 1 .
Tighten fully and check that the
w h e e l i s h o r i z o n t a l l y fl u s h a g a i n s t
t h e fl o o r .
C l o s e t h e fl a p w i t h t h e e y e t o l o c k
the winch.
T y r e u n d e r - i n fl a t i o n d e t e c t i o n
T h e s p a r e w h e e l i s n o t fi t t e d w i t h
a sensor. The punctured wheel
must be repaired by a PEUGEOT
dealer. If you purchase a wheel of uniform
size to replace the "space-saving"
type spare wheel, the shim, locat-
ed underneath the vehicle, must
be removed. Consult a PEUGEOT
dealer.

Unclip the cover.
Change the fuse (see correspond-
ing paragraph).
