Engine oil pressure:Illuminates
when the oil pressure falls below the

Traction Control™ active:
Flashes when the Traction Control™
system is active. If the light remains
on, have the system serviced

Severity indicator:Displays the
indicated severity color when any of
the following warning conditions has
occurred:
•Red: Low Oil Pressure, Charge
System, Engine Coolant Over Temperature, Door Ajar
•Amber: Low Fuel

Low tire pressure warning (if
equipped):Illuminates when your
tire pressure is low. If the light
remains on at start up or while
driving, the tire pressure should be
checked. Refer toInflating your tiresin theTires, Wheels and
Loadingchapter. When the ignition is first turned to on, the light will
illuminate for three seconds to ensure the bulb is working. If the light
does not turn on, have the system inspected by your authorized dealer.

Low beam
•Disconnect electrical connector
and remove retainer and
headlamp bulb from headlamp
assembly.
High beam
•Remove the bulb by turning it
counterclockwise and then pulling
it straight out.
•Disconnect the electrical
connector from the bulb.
WARNING:Handle a halogen headlamp bulb carefully and keep
out of children’s reach. Grasp the bulb only by its plastic base
and do not touch the glass. The oil from your hand could cause the
bulb to break the next time the headlamps are operated.
6. To complete installation, follow the removal procedure in reverse
order.
Note:To ensure a good seal, attach the bulb cover and partially tighten
the screws. Check to ensure the gasket is fully centered. Finish
tightening the screws in a criss-cross pattern (upper-left, lower right
etc.)
Replacing HID low beam headlamp bulbs (if equipped)
The low beam headlamps on your vehicle use a “high intensity discharge”
source. These lamps operate at a high voltage. When the bulb is burned
out, the bulb and starter capsule assembly must be replaced by your
authorized dealer.

Trip elapsed drive time
Select this function from the INFO
menu to display a timer.
To operate the Trip Elapsed Drive
Time perform the following:
1. Press and release RESET in order
to start the timer.
2. Press and release RESET to
pause the timer.
3. Press and hold RESET for two seconds in order to reset the timer to
zero.

System check
Selecting this function from the
SETUP menu causes the message
center to cycle through each of the
systems being monitored. For each
of the monitored systems, the
message center will indicate either
an OK message or a warning
message for three seconds.
Pressing the SELECT control cycles the message center through each of
the systems being monitored.
The sequence of the system check report and how it appears in the
message center is as follows:
1. OIL LIFE
— PRESS RESET IF NEW OIL
2. WASHER FLUID
3. AIR SUSPENSION
4. RECONFIGURABLE TELLTALES

DOOR AJAR— Displayed when a door is not completely closed.
POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION— Displayed when the powertrain is
not operating properly. If the warning stays on or continues to come on,
contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible.
COOLANT OVER TEMPERATURE— Displayed when the engine
coolant is overheating. Stop the vehicle as soon as safely possible, turn
off the engine and let it cool. Check the coolant and coolant level. Refer
toEngine coolantin theMaintenance and Specificationschapter. If
the warning stays on or continues to come on, contact your authorized
dealer as soon as possible.
WARNING:Never remove the coolant reservoir cap while the
engine is running or hot.
CHECK FUEL CAP— Displayed when the fuel filler cap is not
properly installed. Check the fuel filler cap for proper installation. Refer
toFuel filler capin theMaintenance and Specificationschapter.
CHECK AIR SUSPENSION— Displayed when the air suspension
system is not operating properly. If this message is displayed while
driving, pull off the road as soon as safely possible. For more
information, refer toAir suspension systemin theDrivingchapter.
FUEL LEVEL LOW— Displayed as an early reminder of a low fuel
condition. Warning message can be reset by pressing the RESET button,
but will return after 10 minutes. If any other button is pressed besides
RESET, the message ’’PRESS RESET TO CLEAR’’ will appear in the
message center. Once this message disappears (after approximately two
seconds), press RESET to clear the warning.

TRUNK AJAR— Displayed when the trunk is not completely closed.
OVERDRIVE OFF— Displayed when the overdrive is disabled.
OVERDRIVE ON— Displayed when the overdrive is enabled.
LOW TIRE PRESSURE— Displayed when one or more tires on your
vehicle have low tire pressure. Refer toInflating your tiresin theTires,
Wheels and Loadingchapter.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR FAULT— Displayed when the Tire
Pressure Monitoring System is malfunctioning. If the warning stays on or
continues to come on, have the system inspected by your authorized
dealer.
TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT— Displayed when a tire pressure
sensor is malfunctioning, or your spare tire is in use (Note: this includes
the use of the optional full-sized matching spare tire and wheel). For
more information on how the system operates under these conditions,
refer toTire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)in theTires, Wheels
and Loadingchapter. If the warning stays on or continues to come on,
have the system inspected by your authorized dealer.
CHECK COMPASS MOD— Displayed when the compass is not
operating properly. If the warning stays on or continues to come on,
contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible.
WASHER FLUID LEVEL LOW— Indicates the washer fluid reservoir
is less than one quarter full. Check the washer fluid level. Refer to
Windshield washer fluidin theMaintenance and Specifications
chapter.
OIL LIFE CHANGE SOON— Displayed when the engine oil life
remaining is 10% or less. When oil life left is between 10% and 0%, the
XX% OIL LIFE CHANGE SOON message will be displayed.
OIL CHANGE REQUIRED— Displayed when the oil life left reaches
0%, the OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message will be displayed.
An oil change is required whenever indicated by the message center and
according to the recommended maintenance schedule. USE ONLY
RECOMMENDED ENGINE OILS.

CHANGING THE WIPER BLADES
1. Pull the wiper blade and arm
away from the glass. Turn the blade
as much as possible to gain access
to the lock tab (A). Using a skinny
tool, push the lock tab (A) to
release the blade from the arm loop
and pull the blade from the arm.
2. Attach the new blade to the arm
loop and pull it into place until a
click is heard.
Replace wiper blades at least once per year for optimum performance.
Poor wiper quality can be improved by cleaning the wiper blades and the
windshield, refer toWindows and wiper bladesin theCleaning
chapter.
To prolong the life of the wiper blades, it is highly recommended to
scrape off the ice on the windshield before turning on the wipers. The
layer of ice has many sharp edges and can damage the micro edge of the
wiper rubber element.
ENGINE OIL
Checking the engine oil
Refer to thescheduled maintenance informationfor the appropriate
intervals for checking the engine oil.
1. Make sure the vehicle is on level ground.
2. Turn the engine off and wait up to 10 minutes for the oil to drain into
the oil pan.
3. Set the parking brake and ensure the gearshift is securely latched in P
(Park).
4. Open the hood. Protect yourself from engine heat.
