If a warning message is displayed
Stop the vehicle immediately.A buzzer sounds and a warning message is shown on the multi-informa-
tion display. The following warnings indicate the possibility of damage to
the vehicle that may lead to an acci dent. Immediately stop the vehicle in a
safe place and contact your Lexus dealer.
Wa r n i n g m e s s a g eDetails
(Flashing)
Abnormal engine oil pressure.
The warning light may turn on if the engine oil pres-
sure is too low.
Malfunction in the hybrid system.
If a warning is shown on the multi-information display, stay calm and per-
form the following actions:

The master warning light also
comes on or flashes in order to
indicate that a message is cur-
rently being displayed on the
multi-information display.
If any of the warning li ght turns on again after pe rforming the following
actions, contact your Lexus dealer.

lead to the system operating abnormally and possibly cause an accident.
Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

Malfunction in the tire pressure warning system.
The tire pressure warning light comes on after blink-

■The compact spare tire
●The compact spare tire is identified by the label “TEMPORARY USE ONLY”
on the tire sidewall.
Use the compact spare tire temporarily only in an emergency.
●Make sure to check the tire inflatio n pressure of the compact spare tire. 

■Tr e a d l i f e
The compact spare tire can be used many times, if necessary. It has tread life of up
to 3000 miles (4800 km) depending on road conditions and your driving habits.
When treadwear indicato rs appear on the tire, replace the tire. ( P. 4 3 5 )
■When using the compact spare tire
As the spare tire is not equipped with the tire pressure warning valve and transmit-
ter, low inflation pressure of the spare tire will not be warned. Also, if you replace the
compact spare tire after the tire pressure warning light comes on, the light remains
on.
■ Compact spare tire
The compact tire saves space in your luggage compartment, and its
lighter weight helps to enhance fuel economy and permits easier
installation in case of a flat tire.

Turn the tire jack portion “A” by
hand until the notch of the jack is in
contact with the jack point.
Raise the vehicle until the tire is
slightly raised off the ground.
Remove all the wheel nuts and the
tire.
When resting the tire on the
ground, place the tire so that the
wheel design faces up to avoid
scratching the wheel surface.

If you have a flat tire (Vehicles with run-flat tires)
■In some condition (such as at high temperatures)
You can not continue driving for up to 100 miles (160 km).
■If you cannot distinguish between th e standard tires and run-flat tires
Consult your Lexus dealer.
■For the detailed information on run-flat tires
See the tire warranty book.
NOTICE
■When replacing the tires
Have the tires replaced by the nearest Lexus dealer or authorized tire dealer. The
tire pressure warning valves and transmitters will be affected by the installation or
removal of tires.
■To avoid damaging the tire pressu re warning valves and transmitters
Do not use liquid sealants on flat tires.
Take your vehicle to the nearest Lexus dealer or authorized tire dealer as
soon as possible.
■ Run-flat tires (A “RFT” or “DSST” mark is molded on the sidewall)
You can continue driving a vehi-
cle with run-flat tires even if any
tire goes flat.
It is able to run for a maximum of
100 miles (160 km) at a speed
below 55 mph (90 km/h) after
the tire pressure warning light

If the hybrid system will not start
If the hybrid system will not start even though correct starting procedures
are being followed (
P. 138), consider each of the following points.
■The hybrid system will not start ev en if you are carrying the cor-
rect electronic key
One of the following may be the cause of the problem.
● The electronic key battery may be discharged. ( P. 5 3 1 )
● There may not be sufficient fuel in the vehicle’s tank. 
Add fuel to the vehicle.
● There may be a malfunction in the steering lock system.
● There may be a malfunction in the immobilizer system. 
( P. 88)
■ The interior lights and headlights are dim, or the horn does not
sound or sounds at a low volume
One of the following may be the cause of the problem.
● The 12 volt battery may be discharged. ( P. 5 3 4 )
● The 12 volt battery terminal connections may be loose or cor-
roded.
■ The interior lights and headlights do not turn on, or the horn does
not sound
One of the following may be the cause of the problem.
●One or both of the 12 volt battery terminals may be discon-
nected.
● The 12 volt battery may be discharged. ( P. 5 3 4 )
Contact your Lexus dealer if the problem cannot be repaired, or if
repair procedures are unknown.
