3 seconds will make the radio display the Song Title all of
the time (press and hold again to return to normal
display).
RW/FF
Pressing the RW (Rewind) or FF (Fast Forward) buttons
causes the tuner to search for the next channel in the
direction of the arrows.
TUNE Control (Rotary)
Turn the right side rotary control clockwise to increase or
counter-clockwise to decrease the channel.
MUSIC TYPE Button
Pressing this button once will turn on the Music Type
mode for 5 seconds. Pressing the MUSIC TYPE button or
turning the TUNE control knob within 5 seconds will
allow the program format type to be selected.
Toggle the MUSIC TYPE button again to select the music
type.By pressing the SEEK button when the Music Type
function is active, the radio will be tuned to the next
channel with the same selected Music Type name.
If a preset button is activated while in the Music Type
(Program Type) mode, the Music Type mode will be
exited and the radio will tune to the preset channel.
SETUP Button
Pressing the SETUP button allows you to select the
following items:
²Display Sirius ID number Ð Press the SELECT button
to display the Sirius ID number. This number is used
to activate, deactivate, or change the Sirius subscrip-
tion.
SET Button Ð To Set the Push-Button Memory
When you are receiving a channel that you wish to
commit to push-button memory, press the SET button.
The symbol SET 1 will now show in the display window.

Select the button (1-6) you wish to lock onto this channel
and press and release that button. If a button is not
selected within 5 seconds after pressing the SET button,
the channel will continue to play but will not be stored
into push-button memory.
You may add a second channel to each push-button by
repeating the above procedure with this exception: Press
the SET button twice and SET 2 will show in the display
window. Each button can be set for SET 1 and SET 2. This
allows a total of 12 Satellite channels to be stored into
push-button memory. The channels stored in SET 2
memory can be selected by pressing the push-button
twice.
Every time a preset button is used, a corresponding
button number will display.
Buttons1-6
These buttons tune the radio to the channels that you
commit to push-button memory {12 Satellite stations}.

The optional VESŸ (Video Entertainment System) con-
sists of a LCD (liquid crystal display) screen, a battery-
powered remote control, and two headsets. Refer to your
VESŸ User's Manual for detailed operating instructions.

Autostick Operation
By placing the shift lever in the D (Drive) position the
lever can be moved from side to side. This allows the
driver to engage the AutoStick mode. Moving the shift
lever to the right (+) or the left (-) will engage the
Autostick mode. In normal driving mode (Boxed ªDº
displayed in the PRNDL), moving the shift lever to the
right (+) will engage the Autostick mode putting the
transmission in the currently engaged gear. Moving the
shift lever to the Left (-) will engage the Autostick mode
and downshift the transmission 1 gear. For example, the
transmission is in Normal Mode and is currently operat-
ing in 3rd gear, a boxed D is displayed in the PRNDL, a
push to the right will engage the Autostick mode in 3rd
and a Boxed 3 will be displayed in the PRNDL. A push to
the left (-) will engage Autostick mode and downshift to
2nd gear and a Boxed 2 will be displayed in the PRNDL.Once Autostick mode is engaged a move to the Right (+)
or left (-) will trigger a upshift (+) or trigger a downshift
(-).
NOTE:In the Autostick mode, the transmission will
only shift up and down when Left or Right (D-/D+) is
manually selected by the driver.
The transmission will not allow a downshift if the
downshift would result in a engine overspeed condition.
The transmission will always allow a upshift from 1st to
2nd gear, however 2nd - 3rd, 3rd - 4th, and 4th ± 5th
upshifts will not be allowed if the vehicle speed is to low
to maintain operation in the selected gear. The transmis-
sion will automatically downshift as the vehicle slows to
a stop.

Improper alignment will not cause vehicle vibration.
Vibration may be a result of tire and wheel out-of-
balance. Proper balancing will reduce vibration and
avoid tire cupping and spotty wear.
TIRE ROTATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not rotate the tires as the wider rear tires will not fit
on the front of the vehicle.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM (TPMS)
Premium System
The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) uses wireless
technology with wheel rim mounted electronic sensors to
monitor tire pressure levels. Sensors, mounted to each
wheel as part of the valve stem, transmit tire pressure
readings to the Receiver Module.
NOTE:It is particularly important, for you to check the
tire pressure in all of your tires regularly and to maintain
the proper pressure.The Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) consists of the
following components:
²Receiver Module
²4 Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors
²3 Trigger Modules (mounted in three of the four wheel
wells)
²Various Tire Pressure Monitoring System Messages,
which display in the Electronic Vehicle Information
Center (EVIC), and a graphic displaying tire pressures
²Tire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Light
Tire Pressure Monitoring Low Pressure Warnings
The ªTire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Lightº will
illuminate in the instrument cluster, and an au-
dible chime will be activated when one or more of
the four active road tire pressures are low. In addition, the
Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) will display

one or more Low Pressure messages (Left Front, Left
Rear, Right Front, Right Rear) for 3 seconds, and a
graphic display of the pressure value(s) with the low
tire(s) flashing. Refer to ªElectronic Vehicle Information
Center (EVIC)º in Section 4 of this manual.
NOTE:Your system can be set to display pressure units
in PSI, kPa, or BAR.Should a low tire condition occur on any of the four
active road tire(s), you should stop as soon as possible,
and inflate the low tire(s) that is flashing on the graphic
display to the vehicle's recommended cold tire pressure.
The system will automatically update, the graphic dis-
play of the pressure value(s) will stop flashing, and the
ªTire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Lightº will extinguish
once the updated tire pressure(s) have been received. The
vehicle may need to be driven for up to 10 minutes above
15 mph (24 km/h) to receive this information.
Check TPM System Message
The ªTire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Lightº will flash
on and off for 75 seconds, and remain on solid when a
system fault is detected. The system fault will also sound
a chime. The EVIC will display a ªCHECK TPM SYS-
TEMº message for 3 seconds. This text message is then
followed by a graphic display, with ª- -ª in place of the
pressure value(s) indicating which Tire Pressure Moni-
toring Sensor(s) is not being received.

NOTE:Your system can be set to display pressure units
in PSI, kPa, or BAR.
If the ignition key is cycled, this sequence will repeat,
providing the system fault still exists. If the system fault
no longer exists, the ªTire Pressure Monitoring Telltale
Lightº will no longer flash, the9CHECK TPM SYSTEM9text message will not be present, and a pressure value
will be displayed instead of dashes. A system fault can
occur by any of the following scenarios:
1. Jamming due to electronic devices or driving next to
facilities emitting the same Radio Frequencies as the TPM
sensors.
2. Installing some form of aftermarket window tinting
that affects radio wave signals.
3. Lots of snow or ice around the wheels or wheel
housings.
4. Using tire chains on the vehicle.
5. Using wheels/tires not equipped with TPM sensors.
In addition, the ªTire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Lightº
will turn OFF and the graphic in the EVIC will display a
new pressure value instead of dashes (- -), as long as no
tire pressure is below the low-pressure warning limit in

NOTE:Tighten the gas cap about 1/4 turn until you
hear one click. This is an indication that cap is properly
tightened.
If the gas cap is not tighten properly, the Malfunction
Indicator Light will come on. Be sure the gas cap is
tightened every time the vehicle is refueled.
WARNING!
A fire may result if gasoline is pumped into a
portable container that is inside of a vehicle. You
could be burned. Always place gas containers on the
ground while filling.
Loose Fuel Filler Cap Message
If the vehicle diagnostic system determines that the fuel
filler cap is loose, improperly installed, or damaged, a
ªCHECK GASCAPº message will be displayed in the
EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center). Refer to
ªElectronic Vehicle Information Centerº in Section 4 of
this manual. Tighten the fuel filler cap until a ªclickingº
sound is heard. This is an indication that the fuel filler
cap is properly tightened. Refer to ªOnboard Diagnostic
System Ð OBDIIº in Section 7 of this manual for more
information.
CAUTION!
Damage to the fuel system or emission control sys-
tem could result from using an improper fuel tank
filler cap (gas cap). A poorly fitting cap could let
impurities into the fuel system.

Loose Fuel Filler Cap Message
After fuel is added, the vehicle diagnostic system can
determine if the fuel filler cap is loose, improperly
installed, or damaged. A ªCHECK GASCAPº message
will be displayed in the EVIC (Refer to Section 4 of this
manual). Tighten the gas cap until a9clicking9sound is
heard. This is an indication that the gas cap is properly
tightened.
This message may be temporarily overridden by pressing
either the C/T, STEP, or MENU buttons. However, after
one minute of no customer interaction, the EVIC will
display again the ªCHECK GASCAPº message. The
message will remain displayed until the vehicle diagnos-
tic system can retest the fuel system. The test will
perform the next time the vehicle is started, if the vehicle
was keyed off above 40ÉF (4ÉC) outside temperature and
the following vehicle start is above 40ÉF (4ÉC) outsidetemperature. It may be possible to have a message that
will not clear due to the test being disabled due to low
outside temperatures. If the test is performed and the
problem is gone, the message will disappear.
If the problem persists, the message will appear the next
time the vehicle is started. This might indicate a damaged
cap. If the problem is detected twice in a row, the system
will turn on the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).
Resolving the problem will turn the MIL light off. See
your authorized dealer for service.
EMISSIONS INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
PROGRAMS
In some localities, it may be a legal requirement to pass
an inspection of your vehicle's emissions control system.
Failure to pass could prevent vehicle registration.
