1) If the vehicle is being towed with the
rear wheels on the ground, be sure the parking brake is released.
NOTE: Before towing, check the level of the automatic transaxle fluid. If it is below the "HOT" range on the dip-stick, add fluid. If you cannot add fluid, a towing dolly must be used.
2) If any of the loaded wheels or sus- pension components are damaged or the vehicle is being towed withthe front wheels on the ground, use a towing dolly under the front wheels.
o Manual Transaxle:
If you do not use a towing dolly,place the ignition key in the "ACC" position and put the transaxle in "N(Neutral)".
CAUTION:
Do not tow with the key removed orin the "LOCK" position when tow- ing from the rear without a towing dolly.
CAUTION:
o When towing the vehicle, take care not to cause damage to the bumper or underbody of the ve- hicle.
o Do not tow with sling type truck as this may cause damage to thebumper or underbody of the ve-hicle. HTB210

o Automatic Transaxle:
Be sure to use a towing dolly under the front wheels.
CAUTION:
A vehicle with an automatic transaxle should never be towed from the rear with the front wheelson the ground. This can cause seri- ous damage to the transaxle.
3) It is recommended that your vehicle be towed with all the wheels off the ground.
D080D03TB-EAT EMERGENCY TOWING For emergency towing when no com- mercial tow vehicle is available. Do not attempt to tow your vehicle in thismanner on any unpaved surface. This could result in serious damage to your car.Nor should towing be attempted if the wheels, drive train, axles, steering or brakes are damaged. Before towing,be sure the transaxle is in neutral and the key is in "ACC" (with the engine off) or in the "ON" position (with the enginerunning). A driver must be in the towed car to steer it and operate the brakes. (1)Open the towing cover to push it
with your finger.
(2)To mount the towing hook, rotate it clockwise.

than 15 miles(25 km).Be sure the steering is unlocked by placing the key in the "ACC" posi- tion.

G030D02TB-EAT ENGINE OIL REPLENISHMENT
If the indicated oil level is at or below the lower mark of the dipstick, oil should be added until the level is at or below the upper mark.To add oil to the engine, remove the filler cap by rotating in an counterclock- wise direction and pour engine oil intothe engine. Before checking the level again, allow several minutes for the oil to drain into the sump. Replace the oilfiller cap rotating it in a clockwise direc- tion until tight. The quantity of oil required to raise thelevel from the minimum to maximum level is approximately 1.2 litre.

The oil being drained from the en- gine will be hot. Care should beexercised to prevent scalding. WARNING:
Prolonged and repeated contact withused engine oils may result in seri- ous skin disorders including derma- titis and cancer. Avoid contact withskin as far as possible and always wash thoroughly after any contact. Keep used oils out of reach of chil-dren. It is illegal to pollute drains, water courses and soil. Use only authorised waste collection facili-ties including civic amenity sites and garages for the disposal of used oil and oil filters. If in doubt, contact the local authority for disposal in- structions.

The wiper blades should be carefully inspected from time to time and cleaned to remove accumulations of road film or other debris. To clean the wiper bladesand arms, use a clean sponge or cloth with a mild soap or detergent and water. If the wipers continue to streak or smearthe glass, replace them with genuine Hyundai replacement. HEF119CAUTION:
o Do not operate the wipers on dry glass since rapid wear and dam- age to the windscreen glass mayresult.
o Keep the blade rubber out of con-
tact with petroleum products suchas engine oil, gasoline, etc.

1. Start the engine and run at idle for
several minutes with the refrigera- tion system running at the coldest setting.
2. Open the bonnet and inspect the
sight glass on the top of the receiverdryer.
3. If the refrigerant charge is insuffi- cient, a flow of bubbles will be ob-served through the sight glass.
4. If the refrigerant charge is satisfac- tory, no bubbles will be observedthrough the sight glass.
CAUTION:
Running the air conditioning systemwith a low refrigerant level may dam- age the compressor.

!WARNING:
Brake fluid is hygroscopic and should never be stored in an un-sealed container. The presence of water in the braking system will cause vapour locks and increase the possi-bility of brake fade along with pro- moting corrosion within the braking system. The brake fluid must bechanged at the specified time or mile- age interval to ensure continued safe operation of the system. Brake fluid will cause rapid and serious damage to paintwork. If accidental spillageoccurs, the affected area must be rinsed with water immediately. Do not allow brake fluid to come intocontact with the eyes or to be in- gested and ensure that fluid is safely stored away form the reach of chil-dren. SG140A1-E AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM MAINTENANCECondenser Ensure that the condenser is periodi- cally inspected and that accumulations of dirt, dead insects and leaves etc, areremoved to ensure that the efficiency of the system is not impaired. Care must be exercised to ensure that the con-denser fins are not damaged during cleaning.
