Downloaded from www.Manualslib.com manuals search engine The retractor for the rear centre seatbelt is located in the roof. To fastenthe seat belt, pull it out steadily andengage the smaller, black tongue inthe smaller black buckle to the rightof the centre seat.
Then pull the larger tongue acrossthe lap and engage it in the largerbuckle to the left of the centre seat.
To release the belt, first press the redbutton on the left buckle and let thebelt rewind. If in constant use, the beltcan be left buckled in the right-handbuckle. When not in use, or whenfolding or moving the rear seats, thebelt should be released from theright-hand buckle by pressing thebutton on the side of the buckle andletting the belt rewind smoothly tothe retractor in the roof.

Comfort seat system
WARNING
Make sure that there is nothingin the luggage compartmentwhich could obstruct the movementof the seats or get damaged whenthe seats move rearwards.
The centre seat can be folded up andthe outboard seats moved rearwardsand slightly inboard to provide moreleg and shoulder room for the rearpassengers.
First, fold back the front of theluggage cover.
Fold up the centre seat by releasingthe lever on the underside of theseat.
The complete seat will moverearwards as the seat cushion isfolded up. Fold the seat back until itengages.
Pull the lever on the outer front edgeof the outboard seats and push theseats rearwards. As the seats sliderearwards, they also move slightlyinboard. After releasing the lever,rock the seats to ensure that thecatch is securely engaged.

To return the centre seat to itsoriginal position, pull the lever on theunderside of the seat. Fold the centreseat forwards and push it back downfully until it engages.
Fold the front of the luggage coverforwards.
WARNING
Do not slide the outboard seatsrearwards into the comfortposition if the centre seat is foldedforwards. There is a risk of injury inthe event of an accident or if thecentre seat falls back down.
Folding the seatbacksforward
WARNING
Do not fold the seatbacksforward when the seats are inthe comfort position (slid rearwards).This could result in damage to theseats or panel trim. Slide the seatsfully forwards.
All three seatbacks can be foldedforward independently of oneanother.
Remove the seat belts from the beltguides on the outboard seatbacks.The seat belt tongues must beinserted into the retaining slots. Theretaining slot for the centre seat beltis located in the roof. SeeFastening the seat belts (page31).
Lower the outboard head restraintsand raise the centre head restraint.

To avoid scalding, never placehot drinks in the cup holder.
A table surface and two cup holdersare located on the rear of the centreseatback.
Returning the seatbacks tothe upright position
WARNING
Always have the rear headrestraints raised when the rearseat is occupied by a passenger ora child restraint.
Pull the lever on the seatback and liftthe seatback up. The seatback mustengage in its latch.
Make sure the seatbelts will functionproperly and are positioned in frontof the seatbacks. When in use, therear seat belts should be placed inthe belt guides on the outboardseatbacks.

All vehicles
To increase the space in the luggagecompartment, the rear seats can befolded forward.
First, fold the seatback(s) forward.See Folding the seatbacksforward.
Note:All three seats can be foldedforward individually. However, if oneor both outboard seats is to befolded forward together with thecentre seat, the centre seat must befolded forward first. If only theoutboard seats are to be foldedforward, the centre seatback mustbe left in the upright position.
Pull the lower bar on the rear of theseats to release them from the floorand fold the seats forward.
There are two methods for securingthe seats in the upright positiondepending on the equipment fittedin your vehicle. Your vehicle is fittedwith either bungee straps on the rearof the seat cushions or seat supportslocated on the floor under the rearseats.
Vehicles with bungee straps
WARNING
Always attach the bungee strapto the front head restraint whena rear seat is folded forwards. Failureto do so may result in the seat fallingback down.

Vehicles with seat supports
WARNING
Always secure a seat with itssupport when it is foldedforwards. Failure to do so may resultin the seat falling back down.
Once the seats are folded forwards,secure them with the seat supports:
Fold up the the outboard seatsupports and insert the ends into thelarger holes on the base of the seats1. When inserted, slide the supportsinto the smaller holes to secure them.
Insert the end of the support with themetal bracket into the retainer in thefloor, keeping the support in thevertical position when inserting it.Insert the other end into the largerhole on the base of the centre seat2. When inserted, slide the end of thesupport into the smaller hole tosecure it.

All vehicles
WARNINGS
Make sure that no objects arelocated in the storagecompartments under the rear seatswhich could get damaged when theseats are folded down.
To avoid injury, take care whenfolding the seats down.
WARNINGS
Make sure that the locking holeon the floor is clear of sand, rockor any objects which may preventthe seat from locking.
Before folding the seats back down,pull the lower bar on the rear of eachseat and check that the latches arein the delatched (extended) position.
Note:If one or both outboard seatsare folded forward together with thecentre seat, the outboard seats mustbe folded back down first.
Vehicles with bungee straps
WARNING
When the bungee strap isdetatched from the headrestraint, it will recoil back into theseat. Take care not to get yourfingers caught when the strap recoils.
Detach the bungee straps.

Slide the supports into the larger holeon the base of the seats and detachthem. Fold the outboard seatsupports down and attach them tothe retainers on the floor. Detach thecentre seat support from the floorand secure it in its retainer on thefloor under the right-hand seat.
All vehicles
WARNING
Make sure the seat is securelylocked by pushing forward andrearward on the top of the seatbackor by trying to pull up the edge of thecushion.
Fold the seats back down until theyengage.
Raise the seatbacks ensuring thatthey engage in their latches.
Make sure the seatbelts will functionproperly and are positioned in frontof the seatback.
The rear seatbelts should be placedin the belt guides on the outboardseatbacks.
Removing the seats
To increase the space in the luggagecompartment, the rear seats can beremoved completely.
Fold the seats forward. See Foldingthe seats forward.
Fold up the seat to be removed toan angle of approximately 45degrees to the floor.
With the seat in this position, pushdown both levers marked in red torotate the locking claws to the openposition.
WARNING
The rear seats are heavy. Toavoid injury, take care whenlifting the seats.
