down. I f t h i s i n d i c a t o r l i g h t fl a s h e s a b n o r m a l l y q u i c k l y ,
this could indicate that the electric bulb of one
of the direction indicators has blown. Change
the bulb or contact a CITROËN dealer.

push the lights stalk up. I f t h i s i n d i c a t o r l i g h t fl a s h e s a b n o r m a l l y q u i c k l y ,

Main beam
headlamps
F i x e d This comes on when
you pull the lights stalk
towards you. Pull the stalk to return to dipped headlamps.
Side lights
F i x e d This comes on when
the lights stalk is in the
“Side lights” or “Dipped
headlamps” position. Turn the stalk to the position required.
Front fog
lamps
F i x e d This comes on when you
use the front fog lamps. Turn the ring on the stalk forwards to switch on
the fog lamps.
Rear fog lamps
F i x e d This comes on when you
use the rear fog lamps. Turn the ring on the stalk forwards to switch on
the fog lamps.
Cruise control
F i x e d This comes on when the
mode is active. Press the “ON/OFF” button to activate/
deactivate the mode.

This comes on when the
ignition switch is at ON. Wait until this light has switched off before
starting.
The duration for which this is displayed is

Warning lights is on Cause Observations
Handbrake /
B r a k e fl u i d level F i x e d This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to “ON”
then switches off.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
The handbrake is
applied or has not been
released fully. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Release the handbrake
to switch off the warning light.

and contact a CITROËN dealer.
Emission
control system F i x e d o r
fl a s h i n g This comes on or
fl a s h e s i f t h e s y s t e m
fails. Consult a CITROËN dealer.
It should switch off a few seconds after starting
the engine.
Battery charge
F i x e d This comes on if a
charging circuit fault
occurs. It should switch off when the engine is started.
It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Check the battery
terminals (refer to the “Battery” section).

Driver’s
seat belt not fastened F i x e d The driver has not
fastened or has
unfastened his seat belt. This is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display.
Fasten the driver’s seat belt.
ABS
F i x e d This comes on if an
anti-lock braking system
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. The vehicle retains
conventional braking without assistance but
you are advised to stop. Have it checked by a
CITROËN dealer.
Air bags and
pretensioners F i x e d This comes on for a
few seconds when the
ignition is turned to “ON”
then switches off.
It should switch off when the engine is started. If
it does not switch off, contact a CITROËN dealer.
This comes on if an air
bag or pretensioner
failure occurs. It is accompanied by a message on the
instrument panel display. Have the system
checked by a CITROËN dealer without delay.

Each time the engine is started: a series of warning lights and/or messages come on applying a checking self test. They
switch off after a few seconds. Engine running: the warning light or the message becomes a warning if it remains on
c o n t i n u o u s l y o r fl a s h e s . T h i s i n i t i a l w a r n i n g m a y b e a c c o m p a n i e d b y a n a u d i b l e s i g n a l a n d a m e s s a g e o n t h e d i s p l a y . D o n o t
ignore these warnings.

t h e d i s p l a y a u t o m a t i c a l l y . I f t h e c a u s e o f t h e w a r n i n g i s n o t r e c t i fi e d , y o u c a n r e t u r n t o t h e p r e v i o u s s c r e e n a t a n y t i m e b y
pressing the INFO button on the fascia.
The symbol “!” is displayed.
To return to the previous screen (with the “!” symbol), you must press the
INFO button several times.

INFORMATION ON THE
INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAY
Data displays
With the ignition on, press the
INFO
button, located on the fascia to the
right of the instrument panel, to display
the various information displays in
succession:
- the distance recorder A,
- the distance recorder B,
- the service indicator,
- the coolant temperature,
- the range,
- the trip computer,
- the setting menu. This displays the dis-
tance and the number
of months remaining be-
f o r e t h e n e x t s e r v i c e t o
be carried out in accord-
ance with the manufac-
turer’s servicing sched-
ule (refer to the “Service
indicator” section).
Service indicator
When the engine is
running, this indicates
the temperature of the
coolant (refer to the
“Coolant temperature
indicator” section).
Coolant temperature
When the engine is run-
ning, this indicates the
number of miles (kilome-
tres) which can still be
travelled with the fuel re-
maining in the tank in re-
lation to the average con-
sumption over the last
few miles (kilometres)
travelled (refer to the “Range” section).
Range
This indicates the aver-
age consumption, the
average speed and the
current consumption (re-
fer to the “Trip computer”
section).
Trip computer
When the vehicle is
stationary , this allows
the user to change the
following parameters
(refer to the “Function
parameters” section):
- the display language,
- the temperature dis- play unit,
- the fuel consumption unit,
- the option to reinitialise the aver- age consumption and the average
speed,
- the break (rest) reminder display in- terval.
